Established in 2011.
Moon Juice was created by Amanda Chantal Bacon: World-traveling chef, mama, sustainable lifestyle leader, and passionate medicinal food educator.
Moon Juice represents a holistic lifestyle that goes far beyond juices, milks, and snacks. It’s a healing force, an etheric potion, a cosmic beacon for those seeking out beauty, wellness and longevity.
People come to us for daily nourishment, beauty foods, and high-powered natural remedies. We are a tangible touchstone for a community excited about a new way of living.
The first Moon Juice shop opened on Rose Avenue in Venice, California in 2011. We were thrilled to open our second retail location on Sunset Boulevard in Silver Lake two years later.
Moon Juice is also in partnership with the Ace Hotel, beginning with the Moon Juice shop at the Ace Hotel Downtown LA.

Business Owner
Amanda believes that food is equal part art and medicine; as much about pleasure as healing; and that creativity and sustenance can be one and the same. Originally from New York City, Amanda first became enamored with the beauty of simple ingredients, culinary traditions, and a holistic approach to wellness while traveling the world and meeting healers, artisans, doctors and farmers along the way.
Time at the New England Culinary Institute in Vermont – at the forefront of the farm to table revolution – taught her the importance of sustainability, sourcing, and working closely with local producers. Hands-on experience under award-winning chef Suzanne Goin showed her how to hone in on the perfection already present in seasonal produce. A turn as a Food and Wine Editor at the Los Angeles Times Magazine defined her vision of a shop offering an elegant yet life-altering approach to nourishment.
It was along her own journey to self improvement that led her to open Moon Juice.
