We stopped in on a Saturday evening, about 45 minutes before closing. One of sales staff greeted us right off, and let us know which racks and tables held the sale items. Another, once she had an idea of the types of things I was looking for kept offering suggestions and bringing things for me to try. They all couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful! The brands they carry are on the higher end pricewise. They have a well-​chosen selection and I noticed a wide range of sizes on the racks. I will definitely go back when I have more time.

I would give this place negative stars. Staff was beyond rude. I was on the phone with my husband sending him
pictures of the running shoes I was torn between to help me decide which to buy. I was confronted by a saleswoman who was extremely nasty to me about it. «ABSOLUTELY NO PICTURES» loudly, rudely and in front of other customers. Glaring at me when I explained. I was treated as if I were a shoplifter and someone about to drop 600
on a pair of sneakers. Horrible
won’t be back.

Are you too proud to walk out of a store after seeing a $ 275 t-​shirt and know you’re not going to buy anything because you’re afraid the sales girls are going to judge you? I am! Me me!
Abbot Kinney is confusing this way. Some retailers are semi-​normal person pricing, others are not, and really, the clothes all look the same.
Can’t say I spent much time in here but giving them a neutral rating. Sales girls were obviously not gonna give a what about me because I was carrying donuts and wearing a shirt from Ross.

These people (Shannon, in particular) totally took care of me as I was trying to make my wife happy with a gift. They made a novice shopper like me understand the ins & outs and my wife loved the gift.

2 stars for quality merch; –15 stars for service. I don’t need twenty something hipsters looking their nose down at me like I’m Julia Roberts pre-​makeover from a hooker when I walk in. Don’t bother asking THEM for help, they are not interested. Went in to buy a $ 900 purse. I hope they too, get paid on commission. Bye, Felicia.

This place deserves its negative reviews. Sales rep offered me something to try on and I said no it’s not really me thanks then ignored me the rest of my time there.

If you don’t like people why do you work in sales? I went in and asked two questions to an African American woman in a mustard romper and she was beyond rude to me. First I asked her if a sweater was black or blue as i am partially color blind. She looked at me like I’m dumb said blue and walked off. I then asked her if an extremely long shirt was a dress and she gave me so much attitude and walked off again. I was so upset I walked out right then. I would have bought a sweater for a couple hundred. I will never go back. If you want bad customer service shop here.

Visited Venice for the first time to checkout Abbot Kinney and find something nice for my girlfriend. I was pretty much clueless walking into the place. Guess it showed, the staff was really attentive, and helped me find the right gift. Great sevice and lots of cool designers! Definitely stopping by next time I’m in town. Hoping they’ll start a men’s section too!

I’m really bummed to see negative reviews – I love Heist! I definitely always stop by when I’m in LA, and have bought some really awesome and unique pieces there. A bit pricey, maybe, but sooo worth it – I love the lines they carry, and the clothes are high quality. I always get a ton of compliments on stuff I’ve bought there. Personally haven’t had any negative experiences with the staff, and have found them to be very helpful and knowledgeable. Overall, my favorite place to shop on Abbot Kinney!

Love the boutique. They carry designers that I’ve worn for years and it was refreshing that the salesperson was very knowledgeable on the lines… not always the case elsewhere. She noticed my Johnny Farah belt and we were kindred spirits, pulling several options for me to choose from. I wish I could have bought them all. I went looking for a ‘special’ piece and found it. Make sure to ask for Nicole, she knows her stuff!

The sales girls are mean. I can’t believe an owner/​manager would let them get away with this type behavior. My daughter told me that while I was looking around, the sales girls were saying mean things about me making fun of me. I guess this was because when the sales girl asked if I wanted to buy the top I put on the counter, I said «I’m thinking about it.» So she went to take it to put it back on the rack and I asked if she would mind leaving it there while I was thinking. She slapped it back down on the counter and rolled her eyes and stormed off.

Good brands. Rude sales girls. Won’t be coming back.

Just beware of the return policy and you will be OK. Great clothes at a hefty price but some pieces are worth it. Love Xirena t’s. So comfortable. Nili Lotan is also a favorite along with NSF. The saleswoman can be OK depending on who is helping you and the mood of the day.

Cool store, lots of cool lines, but the service is lacking. Bought a gift, had it wrapped, they left the price tag on! Lame!!!
Pet Peeve… Everytime you walk in, you are pounced upon with «We have more sizes in the back» — RUDE! TURN OFF. Are in suggesting nothing will fit? what about…

If you ever try calling the shop, you will never get anyone to answer the phone.
Upon receiving the email on the sale of Isabel Marant collections, I started shopping online and picked out the items that were available in my size. Meanwhile, their website stated «to email them to purchase». I then emailed my order request immediately for all the items that were available in my size. I tried calling them the next day wanting to follow up on my order. Must have dialed the number a dozen times but every time I got their voicemail. In the evening I finally received a response saying that all the items I chose were no longer available.
It is almost like false advertisement when they listed items that were in stock but turns out to be unavailable upon ordering.

I wasn’t really too sure on this place because of the Unilocal reviews, but there was a pair of shoes in the window I had been looking at for months and I finally decided to stop in.
The space is nice and quiet and is a nice break from the really busy Abbot Kinney. The people who helped me weren’t mean like the other reviews said. I was nervous to go in because I am an eighteen year old girl who was wearing a hoodie. I was worried that they would have treated me differently because of that, but the woman who helped me was actually very nice. However, she was maybe a little pushy trying to sell me things (I ended up buying two pairs of shoes, one of which I may try to return).
This place is expensive. I actually gasped at some of the price tags. Everything in this place seems to be over 400 dollars … I mean, that’s cool, but I just am not the kind of person who would want to purchase something that expensive for something I’m not totally in love with.
They had some cute pieces though and I like how everything was color coordinated.
OH, just a reminder, they have a store credit only policy when returning … which is kinda lame, but I can understand why. I didn’t know about it when I purchased the clothing and the sales attendants failed to mention it to me. It kinda bums me out that I didn’t know about it.

I originally stopped here because they carried lines that my fave store in Chicago (Robin Richman) carry like Gary Graham, Johnny Farah. The space is pretty with its tin ceiling and exposed brick. The sales lady was nice and helpful, knew a lot about the lines. love Isabel Marant they have a lot and Raquel Allegra. Decent shoes too. I find their sculpture in the window unique and different from most stores even in creative Venice. A must-​stop-​by :)

agree with others that this place is overpriced and not worth the money. lots of high end brands, style is nice casual, but your paying more for the labels behind the clothing rather that getting something made with quality materials or construction. brands there include martin margiela, hanii y, etc…
snobby service. one look at me and the sales lady had to tell me that the upstairs was their sales section where everything was 50% off. thanks. i appreciate it.: P

carries some interesting european designers. wait for the sales. for avante gard pieces, it’s better to pay full price at salt (down the street)

Eh, not impressed… I’d heard a few things about Heist in the fashion magazines/​online, but when I walked in I wasn’t blown away by the merchandise. It all seemed very uninspired and overpriced. The store clerk did politely greet me, though. I may give it another try the next time I’m on Abbot Kinney, but overall the selection was very black and white (literally).
