Egyptian Museum Venice

The location of this «museum» … store, whatever it is, makes no sense.
Locals come to Venice beach, as do tourists. No one comes to the Venice boardwalk to buy Egyptian stuff. Or do they? The curiosity was killing me… So I breezed in.
My first impression– I’m being stalked. It was clear it was the owner.
After being there for one and a half seconds, he was asking me questions. Do I need help? Do I have any questions? I hate that. It makes me want to leave.
But first, I needed to check this stuff out.
EXPENSIVE! Like 1,700 for a statue expensive. Whoa. Everything else in there was super expensive as well.
I sent my husband in after me because it’s so strange of a store to have opened up there.
Owner: «Everything is from Egypt.» 2 seconds later: «I’ll make you a good deal.»
He *just* walked in…
If the owner didn’t attack people upon stepping into his store, it would be a much more comfortable shopping experience. Even if I intended on buying something there, I wouldn’t have because I don’t like being stared at and pressured after only one second. I would have taken a picture of that statue, or something but he wouldn’t stop looking at me. Not fun.
