Description

Specialties

The Crow’s Nest is a casual fine dining restaurant, serving fresh seafood, steaks and chops.

History

Established in 1976.

The Crow’s Nest Marina Restaurant was founded in October of 1976 by Steve Harner, Janis Payne-Harner, Harp Harner & Larry LaRocca. Larry moved on in 1986 and Harp Harner passed away in November 2005, but Steve still owns and operates the restaurant and marina.

The original Crow’s Nest seated 45 people on the second floor of the Tarpon Center Marina. The property immediately east of the Crow’s Nest was the prior location of the Venice Yacht Club and the Happyland Seafood Restaurant. At the South Jetty, just west of us, Johnny Walkers Fish Camp operated until 1973.

We updated our marina restrooms & showers in 2002. And, in 2003 we built a new Ships Store & marina office dockside. The original 2nd floor store is now another wine cellar and private dining room. Our 2004 addition of an elevator pleased many of our regular guests and brought in many new ones.
