Everything looks so delicious, making a decision is very difficult, but I don’t think any decision could lead you wrong– I had the blueberry pancakes with real maple syrup, my husband had the eggs Benedict and we shared a grilled raspberry muffin– all of it was perfect. We were disappointed we did not have room after to order dessert!

Wonderful place for breakfast and/or lunch. Fresh foods, well prepared, great staff. The best homemade muffins. It is a cozy spot and well maintained. Highly recommend~~

The Stone Sparrow Café was an OK experience. The food was fine but the atmosphere was a bit cramped along with slow service. The place is small with tables close to each other.

We/ve eaten here twice and both times it has been incredible! The Eggs Benedict are so worth it! Try the pan fried chicken sandwich; you can hear them flattening it in the kitchen before it is delivered at your table. The desserts are scrumptious and worth the extra time on the cross trainer! Stop for a wonderful meal; you will not regret it!

Pretty, cozy, and bright — a little haven for hungry travelers on a winter morning. It doesn’t look like much from outside — a tiny stone cabin on a rural route — inside, it’s like coming home. Service is instant and friendly, Cathy’s raspberry coffee cake is so moist it’s almost puddingy. I’m going to be dreaming about that coffee cake for months. For breakfast we had the special — two eggs, toast, and home fries for $ 5.75 — Oscar added sausage to his for a total of $ 8.00. Perfectly cooked!

One of the best biscuits and gravy I’ve ever had. You’ll get your fill of sausage here in one order. It’s quite peppery, if that’s not your thing. The potatoes were also nicely prepared and seasoned. Perhaps a little spendy, but worth it.

This little gem sits demurely on Route 2 in Veazie and is a new addition to the area. This one is well worth the trip… think great home cooking with a sophisticated-taste twist meets warm and friendly! Here you will get fresh food made there… wonderful soups, sandwiches and entrees with specials that change daily. Cathy cooks like you wish you could… and nice attention to detail. Staff is warm and welcoming. Her carrot cake is the gold standard… Cathy was the pastry chef at Jasmine’s and everything from her cakes, cookies, and bars reflects her expertise. Stone Sparrow also uses locally sourced items when possible. Yum, yum yum, thank you! P. S. Am still thinking about those cinnamon biscuits I had with my spinach and cheddar omelet…

I have been to the Stone Sparrow many times. It is welcoming and cozy. I am a big fan of the breakfasts because it is the only place I have found that does a mushroom omelet just the way I like it. Of course, the Eggs Benedict, breakfast sandwiches, muffins, coffee cakes, and even oatmeal are delicious. I am sure other breakfasts are great too, but I cannot bring myself to venture too far from my favorites. The lunch specials are varied, and soups are all tasty. I am going tomorrow for lunch, looking forward to checking out the specials, or maybe soup and sandwich. Let me see… Every dish is individually made, so you will have a little time to visit with dining companions before meals arrive. Try to save a little room for dessert, or take something home. Last week’s carrot cake was incredible. Several of my friends tried it, all impressed. Desserts are always different, so if you see something you like don’t hesitate. It may not be there next time!
