Bear Brew is my favorite place to eat here. Staff are always super friendly and accommodating. The pizza is amazing. It is brick oven pizza, made fresh and hot in-​house. My favorite pizzas are The County (bacon and potatoes on a pizza) and the Supreme pizza.

Not a bad spot to hang out and have drinks or a bite to eat. I have to say I’m really disappointed when they changed their menu a few years ago to reflect the predictable and un-​noteworthy menus of so many other bar and grills. They had a pretty awesome menu before they change and I’m scratching my head as to why they switched. Probably to save money, though they would have taken more of mine if they would have left it alone.

Bear Brew is one of our favorite places to eat in Orono. They have great bear, great drinks, and consistently good food.
The wood fired pizza is, in my opinion, the best pizza in town. It has a thin, crispy, charcoal flavored crust. The specialty pies are all yummy. They also source farmers market ingredients on Saturdays and usually have a pie on special that is worth trying out. Their spinach artichoke dip is one of my all time favorite dips and comes with a bread for dipping from the wood stove. The only thing on the menu I wouldn’t order is a salad — they are fine, but nothing special (iceburg lettuce).
Service is quick and friendly, even when its busy. The bartender is a great guy to to chat with when its slow.

I love this place. The Bear Brew will always be my go-​to choice for a great beer and a burger. The food is always good. They also have some of the hottest wings in the state (truly, I’m even a veteran of eating the Chernobyl wings at Bingas in Portland. The hot wings at the Brew are for real). I’ve had just about everything on the menu at some point and have never been disappointed. The prices are fair, the kitchen is efficient and the location is perfect (especially in the summer when the upstairs opens). This place is always worth the visit.

This was my favorite place to go when I went to UMaine. The wings are probably some of the best I have ever had. The hot sauces are very spicy, but are delicious. Their brick oven pizza is also delicious, you really can’t go wrong but I recommend the county.
They have great happy hour specials, and on snow days at school everything is half off. Only thing they need to work on is the service. It can be ridiculously slow.

The gouda and red pepper app is AMAZING! My mother who hates cheese dips was fighting me for the last of it. They serve it piping hot with slices of pizza crust that has oil, herbs, and a little bit of cheese on it. YUM!
The pizza never disappoints. I always get «The County» and add olives instead of bacon (salt item for salt item is my reasoning) and it is really good.
Service is still «eh» as they only have one girl on at lunch and even though it is small it can pick up in there.
I still love this place for a good hearty meal when I am leaving campus or meeting up with a group of my girlfriends.

I love this place. Great food, great atmosphere, great drinks, great beers on tap and great service. College night is what it is. College night. A lot of young people hanging out together having a great time. But any other night is a fun time as well. From the dance club part to the downstairs bar to the third floor pool tables.
It’s also a fun place to visit in the summer. There’s a 2nd floor patio with a bar that makes it a key place to hang out on cool summer nights. I highly recommend the food but the drink prices are a plus as well.

An Orono tradition for most UMaine students. The Bear Brew is an excellent spot to get a frosty microbrew. The beer is excellent here and the patrons are always fun.
A late night pizza or slice will always fill the void and is actually quite delicious too. If you find yourself in Orono, ME and looking for some night life, check out the Bear Brew.

The few times I have been to the Bear Brew it’s always been overly crowded. It’s mostly frequented by college kids, so if you don’t like that sort of scene, you won’t like this pub.
