We offer full eye health eye exams and contact lens fittings. Drs Jon Willems, Sara Low & John Mayes all monitor diabetic eye health, cataracts, macular degeneration, glaucoma and do pre & post op care for both LASIK and cataract surgery. We offer a wide variety of frames for eye glasses and sun glasses.

A doctor and Dan (optician) are in the office each week day except Tuesdays for eye exams, glasses fitting/​repair/​adjustment, office visits and contact lens fittings.

We are in network with several insurances (VSP, NBN, Regence, BlueCross, First Choice, Medicare, Molina, DSHS, Apple Health and many more) and offer prompt payment discounts for any person paying day of service. We are also participating with CareCredit.

History

Established in 1999.

²⁰⁄₂₀ Eyecare Centers bought Eyeland Optical from Karen & Kirsten Lindskog who had inherited it from their father, optometrist Grant Lindskog. Originally located on the main road on Vashon, it moved to 9720 SW Bank Rd in the Thriftway complex just a few years ago.

Dr Willems has been seeing patients in our Vashon office for over 10 years. He and his wife have 2 children. The family enjoys camping, both Husky & Seahawks football games and the outdoors in general.
