Trader Joe’s

I often shop at Trader Joe’s because it’s 6 blocks away from my House and it’s affordable but shopping there is always kind of a «meh» experience.
Likes:
–Plenty of meal selection that you could Microwave that is portioned for 1 or 2 people. I can’t cook very well but Chef Mic can.
–Trader Joe’s Almond Milk
–Dairy items are affordable
–Great price on Coffee
–Beer & Wine Selection. I love the Almond Champagne.
Dislikes:
–Parking lot
–Children running around with those stupid little shopping carts and their unobservant stroller toting Parents smiling as their children are acting like little jerks. I swear that this place is like a magnet for the worst Parents of Clark County.
–Long lines at checkout (Dear Customers, while at the checkout please put away your cell phone! –Me)
–I cannot stand the other Customers. I only go shopping at Trader Joe’s on Sunday Mornings when they first open since most breeder types are hopefully at church. During other times everyone is in a hurry and they will push and shove you to get ahold of that cookie butter.

I have decided to approach shopping at TJ’s as an occasional Impulse Shopping Spree.
I have chosen to not burden or limit myself with a list.
When I have what appears to be 112 dollars (USD) in my shoppipng cart, I will pick 3 more things and split.
That is all.

Great deals. Great customer service. I love Trader Joes. Every time I go here I think I want to work here. They make me start asking for applications I love it so much. Flowers are very well priced and they usually have a nice selection. I seem to always find the best prices in organic chicken here and on bagged greens. Every employee is friendly and helpful. Gotta love their sea salt chocolate bar with caramel in the middle too! Very adequate wine selection and healthy bread selection too. Love love love Trader Joe’s.

Sock Panda made an impromptu visit to this TJ’s loc and had the delight of engaging L’L stocking the dairy case! A pleasure to meet you!

We stop by Trader Joe’s occasionally for a few goodies. They have good prices on whole, organic chickens, and I find a lot of tasty snacks here (seaweed snacks, granola bars, freeze dried strawberries…) that are cheaper than at other grocery stores. I also like some of their various toiletries and supplements.
I don’t see myself ever doing a full grocery shop here. We don’t like the ingredients in many of their pre-​packaged items (though you might find a gem here and there) and the produce just isn’t as varied as other groceries.
I’m not sure why, but the parking lot here sucks. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but I always run into some sort of traffic jam or other parking issue when I am here.

We love, love Trader Joe’s. My husband shops here and surprises me with the bestest good. Try their Mélange & Trois pepper strips in scrambled eggs. To die for! Oh their Pumpkin Pie. And everyone is spoil nice!

4 stars is pretty good, but it should be 5. Why is it not 5? There is no bike rack.

I’ve enjoyed shopping at Trader Joe’s for years because of the way they seek out specialty providers for their products, from maple syrup to vanilla, cookies or cocoa, Spanish olive oil or marinade, or veggies and take-​home dips. This year they had a problem with their jams, and I’m hoping they’ll rectify that and get their old provider back, doing what was supposed to happen (whatever it was). I’d depended on Trader Joe’s Raspberry Jam for years and years.
For some reason, the Vancouver store has taken a while to get straightened out as far as service and, it seems, cooperation among staff. But it’s a good-​hearted chain, with staff who try, and I’m sticking with the Chkalov store.
Recommended: their coast wine selection and taste bar.

I have only good things to say.
Consistency.
I’ve shopped here 3x a week for the last 4 months. The food selection is always changing with the «mean» being a constant.
But it’s not always a «constant» right?
What are «variables?»
This is where Trader Joe’s shines.
Simply that Trader Joe, encourages new events, if they get it right.
Here, «Traders» hope to win.
I think the concept is awesome.
If you can’t understand this concept, don’t shop here.
However, if you can see the difference, then shop here.
Staff is — not to use a «kletchy» term, if that’s even a term, but, they are genuine. Each of the employees bring a Ginny se que. (I realize that’s totally messed up, but I really don’t have time to look up French translation).
Management is in the background, as well they should be. That’s a good sign of a store run well (the employees are free).
So, if you have: free employes — lean management + creativity = discovery.
That’s why I shop here.

Oh, if you are of a diversified culture, all the better. Seems, all is consistent.

Have always enjoyed shopping here. Good selection of items but do have to go to other stores for the items that I can’t find here. The same goes for when I get things at other stores I come to Joe’s for the things I can’t find there. Its a fair trade.

Trader Joes… they always have interesting products, at really good prices. I love the unique selection that they have, and I love the format over their newsletters they mail out. The newsletters always give me a reason to head back to the store again. I don’t get there as often as I’d like, but that’s because its not that close to home.

This is my favorite grocery store! I love bringing my little shoppers and they push the mini carts as we load up on yummy food. They also get to search for Mitch the monkey and pick out a little treat at check out if they find him.
The prices on produce are great, the prices on organics are amazing. What’s not to like?

Came in here only because I desperately needed groceries on a Saturday and Chuck’s was closed.
Good prices on whole bean coffee (we’ll see if it’s any good, have never brewed Trader Joe’s brand before) and many of their healthcare products.
I used to LOVE Trader Joe’s on the east coast. Not sure what it is about the locations on the west coast, but I have yet to find one here that carries kombucha. Minus one star for that.
Even Safeway and Fred Meyer carry kombucha, for crying out loud.

Compared to the madness of my Trader Joes experiences in SF, I’ll take the TJ’s in Vancouver anyday. Love all their products and they are consistent for the most part. Only thing missing is the cinnamon raisin bread they carry in their CA stores.
Prices are great, service is great… TJ’s, you’ll probably see me this week!!!

Just happy to have a Traders in town. Great selection and if you have trouble picking out a good wine like me all you have to do is ask and they will get someone to work with you. If you have kids keep a look out for their monkey (They hide it in a different place every day). If they find it tell the cashier and they will give your kids a treat.

Takin’ ‘er down a star … for two reasons:
1) The crew is always throwing freight in the evenings. I was there at 6 PM and crew is frantically trying to stock shelves. In the way, not engaging, and just bad form. Management needs to schedule their shelf stocking not at peak shopping times (preferrably after hours).
2) Parking — it’s a nightmare.

Love shopping here. Prices are cheaper than Safeway and way cheaper than Whole Foods. Salad greens and fresh veggies are easily the best deal here. The bagged salad goes for $ 1.49-$ 1.99. Safeway’s is usually $ 2.99 and up.
Meat however is less sucessful. They always have the cheaper grisly cuts that never seemed to be trimmed properly. The pre-​seasoned roasts are just OK but fairly convenient.
Fresh fruit is hit/​miss. I’ve got fruit that is really good but a couple times got moldy figs/​grapes. Cashiers/​stockers are always friendly. Nice overall atmosphere.

If you enjoy cramped aisles, limited selection, almost getting run over by strollers/​staff sweeping the floors, and being looked down upon by self-​important shoppers that dwell within: then congratulations! You’ve found your overpriced heaven!
I’m giving it an extra star because there are a few things of interest in here at a fair price.
Oh, and don’t get run over in the parking lot by the same non-​observant self-​important stroller-​pushers/​people. They’ll probably run you over of you aren’t being careful.

In my opinion you have to really screw things up royally in order to get anything short of a 5 star review if you are trader joes. These are all over so cal where I hail from and being here always reminds of sunny so cal beaches. Everything is great here and they proved they have a solid business model by having so many stores in a number of states across the country.
Here you will find fresh selections of organic and non organic fruits and veggies that are in season. Awesome service complete with free samples and tastings, great prices, and a surprisingly large selection considering their smaller than Safeway or albertsons size.
I found mochi ice cream here for 3.50 $ I’ve seen it in other stores for over 6 $! Value is there for sure. It’s also nice that everyone who shops there and even works there seems generally happy, healthy, and guys… it’s a great place to check out hot milfs. Way to go trader joes!

Ugh bumping this down to two stars because I bought a bunch of moldy grapes… and as I sit here drinking my 2 buck chuck, I wonder what kind of grapes were used for this cab sauv? Maybe they were moldy too? Where is the quality control here?
And thanks Mr. Overzealous Hawaiian Shirt Trader Joe’s Employee for embarrassing me in the store today. Yes, I have an almost 3 year old, yes, sometimes she likes to ride on the outside of the cart, and sometimes I actually let her because it’s the only way I can get through the store without a meltdown. So I’m sorry if that bothers you, I am watching her like a hawk and she isn’t going to fall off and kill herself. But I’m her parent and I can make those decisions on my own, thanks!
