Delicious Thai Food. Charming family run business. They always remember my name and favorite menu items. Exceptional service. Perfect for a casual dinner date, great delivery service too! Definitely a favorite!

they give you a large amount of food for how much for you pay for. Quantity over quality; more or less. This place is well know in the Vancouver community and partly for their location and vibes. Their curry and salad rolls are delicious, however, not the best curry I’ve ever had.

It’s Thai-basic. Most of the food items seem to be under seasoned and/or overcooked, such as the(dry) lemongrass chicken and bland curry. This is easily one of the most popular places downtown and after eating there a few times, I would say that it is a bit underwhelming. The restaurant is nice and the staff is friendly, but this isn’t enough to make a recommendation for middle-of-the-road Thai food.

I’ve loved everything I’ve ordered from here! One of my new favorite spots especially for happy hour. Reasonably priced food and it tastes so fresh and delicious! The sushi is great, I crave it. Also the Tom yum soup is very good, just wish it had more shrimp in it. Giving it only 4 stars because you can only use the parking lot on the weekends. During the week you would have to try and find parking on the street.

Their yellow curry is the best I’ve ever had. Nice atmosphere, wait staff that learns your orders, and an awesome drink menu. One word I’d use to describe this place: refreshing.

I have been going to Thai Orchid for years and I love it more with every visit! Their staff is always friendly and their food is consistently delicious. I just recently discovered how excellent their happy hour menu is as well! They have decent drinks that are well priced and sushi if your craving that. Their Drunken Thai Tea is an absolute must. I definitely plan to keep enjoying them.

I’ve been here numerous times and each time has been amazing. I even order to go when I just want to chill at home with good food. I’ve tried the orange chicken. Decent, but they need to be more giving with the sauce since there’s not really enough on the plate covering the entire battered chicken pieces. After trying the evil jungle noodles with chicken it has been my go to every future visit because I know it’s going to be delicious everytime. The curry sauce is amazing(they sell it on its own by the way.) It has just the right amount of heat at a 1 for me, and the big bowl is only $ 9.50 for dinner. Can’t really beat that cause I usually have leftovers to take home too! I have to eat here at least once or twice a month since I crave that delicious yellow curry sauce.

Drink menu: nice range of beer, wine, and full bar items. Happy hour is at a great time and features good plates. The menu has a lot of southeast Asian cuisine options, not just Thai. I’ve had the curry, but my favorite is the spicy chicken. One of my favorite spots to go to downtown Vancouver.

We love Thai Orchid! They have some of the best curry and stir fry we have had! They are always busy. The sushi is also fantastic. I had never really had sushi and Thai together, until I move to the PNW meeting go there/do takeout once or twice a week! The service is good, some days are better than others. The only real issue we have had is with takeout… We sometimes get different portions of the curry with takeout, and sometimes we are waiting forever on the sushi while out other food gets cold(for takeout). But we are so glad to have them!

Great place. Came for lunch with a family of 12 just after the holiday. Food was great and the family tried multiple things. Ga Re(Curry), Mango with Chicken, Pra Rem, Prew Wan and Pad Thai were all outstanding! Also appreciated the larger group space near the back for our large group.

Excellent food. I had lunch here as part of a company Christmas outing and everyone ordered appetizers and entrees so I got to try a little bit of everything. Although the crab puffs weren’t all that great(I’ve had better at cheaper restaurants), the calamari was quite good. I tried the chicken pad thai in mild(you can choose your level of «spicy») and it was mouthwatering. For my entrée, I had the crab fried rice off the«Special Menu» and it was nothing short of awesome. That thing was LOADED with shredded crab meat(not lump crab meat) and it complemented the fried rice perfectly. Great service and an overall great experience. Will definitely come back!

Have been to Thai Orchid twice now since moving to Vancouver. Service: Both visits I had great service, by two differ t gentleman. Very helpful, gave great suggestions, and were attentive. Visit One //we ordered a basic Sushi Roll, Pineapple Fried Rice, and Wings. SUSHI: 3⁄5 Very Lackluster roll, nothing special, was falling apart a bit. WINGS: 3⁄5 nothing special, wasn’t crazy about the sauce. FRIEDRICE: 5⁄5DEFINITE recommend! Had Shrimp, Raisins, Nuts and all kinds of flavor! Visit Two //ordered an Orange Chicken & an alcoholic drink(blue and had fruit) blanking on name. CHICKE: 3⁄5 Not much flavor unfortunately DRINK: 5⁄5 very tasty! It’s found on the drinks menu, a popular choice!

Best Thai food I’ve ever had! I don’t branch out when I go to Thai restaurants. I usually get the pad Thai or pad see ew so I am an expert when it comes to comparing those dishes to other Thai restaurants. Both of those dishes are amazing at Thai orchid! The pad Thai comes with tofu, chicken and shrimp. I typically don’t order tofu at restaurants but since it comes with the pad Thai, I tried it. I am so glad that I did because I enjoy it more than the chicken! Also, they always seem to get the spice level perfect. You can choose from a spiciness between 1 and 5. Crab puff lagoons are to die for! They are made perfectly and have a delicious sweet chili sauce to dunk them in. The wait staff knew that we were in a hurry last night so they got our order out very quickly even though it was pretty busy. I recommend making a reservation ahead of time because Thai orchid is always busy.

A very popular Thai & Sushi place in this part of town. Looks really nice and clean inside with nice décor. Service was wonderful and matched the quality of the menu. Paring lot is limited but there is also street parking around. A good place for lunch since its cheaper and not as busy. In my opinion, the sushi is better than the thai food. We were constantly check on so it was good to know they were there for us and very attentive. ‘Sea of Love’ Sushi [$ 13] Presentation was lovely and was a mimic of the name. THey designed it to look like the sea. Got eight pieces of deliciousness. The tobiko was nicely garnished on top. The crispy asparagus inside added another element to the dish which elevated it even more. The fish was spectacular and was complemented well with everything in the roll. Overall sushi was good and I can’t wait to try more. Thai menu wasn’t the best I had but still flavorful. Lunch menu Beef Pad See Ew [$ 7.50] and the Talay(seafood) Pad Kee Mao [$ 11.50]. Lunch menu is limited but its about $ 2 cheaper for lunch compared to dinner. Got the mild spice level but couldn’t really feel the heat at all. The pad kee mao here is delicious. The only thing that disappointed me was that there was no bell peppers in it. Usually when I get pad kee mao at any other thai place, bell peppers are included, and I love bell peppers, so it was a big deal. The fresh basil was there and noodles were al dente. Paying $ 3 more for seafood than beef/chicken was not that worth it. I only got a few pieces of shrimp, scallops, squid. I could have done with lower cost to get the same efficiency. I mean the seafood was still good, but just wanted more for what I paid. They gave lots of bean sprouts and I liked that. Pad see ew was okay but not at the top of the list of what I have eaten before. I lie the mix of regular broccoli and chinese broccoli. It was a middle of the road dish for me. Overall, its a nice restaurant and will definitely come again. But will most likely stick with the sushi unless I want to try other Thai dishes to see how they compare. Nice interior. great service, and yummy food.

The food was excellent! The Massuman Curry is some of the best I’ve had in Portland/Vancouver. I will definitely eat here again when I’m in the area. Also, hoping to have an opportunity to check out the happy hour someday soon. The service was just okay. One person seated us, another brought our water, another person took our appetizer order and yet another different person took(and delivered) our entrees. Then, a different person stopped by to refill our water. But, nobody checked on us even once to ask how our food was, or if we needeed anything else(except for the water refill) and we had to find someone to ask for our check. This would have been understandable if they were busy, but the place was pretty empty. Since we weren’t sure who our«server» was, we left the tip in the tip jar up front, assuming it will get divided among all the staff? Even though the service was lacking a bit, EVERYONE was really nice.

When you pursue the menu at Thai Orchid you wonder if they can do both Sushi and Thai properly. I decided to try Sushi and see what would happen. I ordered the Bangkok Station Combo. It consisted of Salmon, Shrimp. Tako(Octopus) and Tai(Seabream) along with a Tuna Poke roll and salad and Miso soup. When the food came out I was impressed with the presentation. As they say you eat with your eyes first. Everything on plate was as good as it looked, I was the most impressed with Tai. The Japanese call it the King of Fishes. I see why, as it has a very mild but rich smooth taste. Another thing that struck me here is that about half or more of the staff is Thai. That is a good sign in my book. Service was spot on and efficent. Looks like I’ll be making another trip here for sure.
