Friendly staff, good selection, and overall pretty standard for Goodwill. I seem to always leave with something.

Very clean and well stocked — but the prices are crazy expensive for a thrift store — even for a Goodwill. Electronic equipment is priced beyond the moon and remember, all they do is turn it on and if it doesn’t catch fire — they put it on the shelf. Example — old 70s bottom of the line receiver — on ebay selling in mint condition for $ 30 and they are asking $ 99 with scratches and who knows what internal damage. And they actually want $ 3 for records, not just rare ones but for all of them — even the beat up, scratched beyond belief ones. I have never been at any thrift store that wants more than $ 1 for records. I usually frequent the stores in the SEA-TAC area and their prices are much more reasonable. I won’t be back to any of the Vancouver Goodwills, at least not for any bargains.

Come here when in town, good choice and friendly staff. Come here to buy local more modern stuff sometimes pricy(for used stuff) so there shelves get pretty full, but you can always try to talk them down.

I tend to skip Goodwill because it’s pretty expensive, but they do have a really good selection of clothes, housewares, and shoes. They also have a ton of new clothes, bedding and etc from Target — I think Target donates what they can’t sell. I’ve found most of my work clothes here, as well as some great sweaters, mugs, and dresses. It’s usually a bit messy, and understaffed(I hate waiting for someone to open up a fitting room for me.) But worth stopping by once and a while.

I never have a hard time finding unique treasures with the store’s rotating stock. Plus, I can donate my gently used items and complete the retail circle of life!

Update — I think this manager is not longer here. I moved my stars from two to three. OK I got to say Portland and Vancouver’s Goodwills are the best out there. They turn over product regularly and a great group of people that staff each and every store(except this one). The leadership at this store is less then desirable. The management is rude and confrontational. We have been here a couple of times and had run-ins with the manager and witness others getting the same treatment. Customer service here really takes the back seat. I mean come on you are working with donated goods and not everyone is trying to steal a $ 1.00 trinket! It has gotten to a point that we actually make it a point to visit this store just to see what crazy things happen and they don’t disappoint!

First: I don’t know why this place is listed under Cinema. It’s not a movie theater! I added Thrift Stores to the listing to make it right. I’ve been going here weekly for a long time. I used to go here off and on over the years but never as much as Value Village because I didn’t think it was as good. And it’s not. Well, in some respects. The clothes tend to suck. I barely ever find a T-shirt I want to buy or even try on. I never find any cool electronics, that’s okay because I know I’ll be let down and never find them at other place either. I walk in and go to the books first, then the CD.s. From there the shoes, only once found something good, a brand new pair of navy blue Vans eras in my size for like $ 9. After shoes I go aisle by aisle: luggage/bags, sports, candle/vases/sunglasses, skip basket/fake flowers generally unless it’s a birthday or holiday and I need something, look over the cups/plates, move onto the nick knacks(always a lot of looking and peering, wondering what to buy, if anything and if it would be a good decision), skip the kitchen appliances(Pyrex and Vaseline is cool but I don’t collect and it’s hard to find), go to the electronics(98% of the time = junk, found a remote control once and some old N.E.S. games before, that’s really it), look at lamps(nothing there), bikes/furniture/that stuff, cushions/bedding, track tops/tees/hooded tops(98% of the time nothing), move onto coats(every few months I’ll find something, last couple of months I found a Levis jean jacket($ 6.99) for someone and I found myself a vintage Pendleton harrington jack with a tartan lining for $ 6.99 in perfect condition! My scores yesterday: a handbag made of some sort of tree leaves with a design of fruit on the front(very Spanish, odd looking, $ 2.99), a large figure of a dough eyed dog from 1976(.99), a book of Portland poetry/short stories from 2005(it has a cool cowboy on the front and back that looked like Jimmie Rodgers, I had to have it! It has good writing in it as well, stuff I thought I’d enjoy, $ 2.99), a compilation CD called«The Doors of Perception: Dope Funk, Psychedelic Soul And Acid Jazz From New York City ’70 — ’74(I wasn’t gonna buy it because I figured I could come home and download it for free or buy it for cheap off Amazon but I wanted the liner to read since it had a lot of information and it’s always fun/useful to read those. $ 3.99. Came home and found I could have downloaded it in 320 kbps for free but whatever. It’s a good CD. I’m amazed someone around here gave that away or has that kind of taste. I like compilations of old stuff but I only but albums/comps that are rare/obscure/have a lot of tracks(this had 20), shows you new stuff/new sounds. Yeah. That’s my review. This place has been around for as long as I can remember. I don’t know why no one else hasn’t reviewed it. This place did a remodel about a year ago. It okay. It still looks like a regular Goodwill with boring colors but that’s not why we go, we expect to find something different and sometimes and and lots of times leave disappointed. 3 stars. It’s a Goodwill. Not the worst. Not the best. Nothing to drive out of your way to. There’s also a Goodwill at Clackamas, Battle Ground(very sub par and all, not worth the long drive), Salmon Creek, Hazel Dell, Gresham(not good, small), 162nd in Vancouver. Those are the ones I know of in the area. None is really better than any other. That’s why I stick to the few around where I am. The best thing about the Goodwill is their dishware/glassware. Most glasses and dishes are are 99 cents each. It can be hard to find a set of 4 but if you come several times you’ll eventually find something that works or that you like. A lot of things can look quite ugly and not up to date. Hope this helped. 2 – 3 stars overall for this store. Don’t expect greatness. Come expecting to spend $ 10 at most. One of my best finds here was a mint copy of the Suburban Lawns lp for $ 1.99(They are an early Southern California punk group. Absolutely fantastic and weird!) P. S. I hate how Goodwill always checks my $ 10 and $ 10 bills to see if they’re fake or not! If I’m gonna pass a fake I know better to do it than at somewhere that always checks them. Plus, why would I pass fakes to buy junk? It makes me feel generally odd when they check because I’m a regular looking person and nothing that’s alarming. Some cashiers don’t check my bills sometimes but then 2 or 3 times later they will. It doesn’t make sense to me. And how many fakes are they actually catching? I think a few years ago on the news it said that like 50 fakes are found in the area in a year. Is it worth the trouble to check 1000’s and 1000’s? They’re getting all this junk for free and they want to hassle us. I just don’t get it. Most people shopping here are regular joes. Goodwill is wasting our time and making us feel like we’re supposed thieves. Oh, don’t buy the Target stuff they sell in the back. They jack the prices up 4−5x.
