Was picking up lunch here today. The gyros I had was absolutely amazing. They changed the name because it is now under NEW, much nicer ownership! The other people who worked here before were worth avoiding, but all that has changed with a much better service and family owned and operated staff. The store has a good selection of kalbasi, large assortment of candies, bakery goods like cakes and other sweets, authentic russian drinks and of course fresh baked bread. If you are in for something different, do give this place a try :)

This place was formerly known as Babushka. I’m not sure why the name was changed. Aside from having a slightly smaller floor inventory, it seems the same as it ever was. A good place to peek into if you are looking for eastern european foods. Sorry, I’m rather ignorant about that type of food. I hope someone with a clue drops a review on this place soon. They have a nice deli meat and cheese counter and a small section devoted to German breads. It’s a great place to get a gyro. The one bad part is that you are best off going all the way home and eating it over a plate; they really pack that baby full. I like their piroshkis a lot, even the cabbage one. Normally, Nicky don’t ‘do’ cabbage. To get me to actually go in and order one is impressive to me. They have a small but drool-worthy bakery section. They have some perishables and frozen things at the rear of the store but ONCEAGAIN my ignorance comes to the fore. A nice option to have in amongst all the old, familiar fast food places.
