Van Nuys Smog Check

The guy who helped me –super nice… good fast service I was in and out of there in less than 10 minutes —-I have kids so that was really helpful that they could stay in the car, I didn’t have to take them out and wait for a long time!

Fastest Smog Check I’ve ever had. Thank goodness for Unilocal.Both guys there were nice and friendly. I will definitely recommend other people here.

The Smog Check took less time than it took me to grab Pollo Asada Fries from Albertos to go. Josh was very helpful and got things done fast.

Good customer service, quick, courteous and professional. I called ahead and they got me right in. 10mins in and out. The smog check area is hidden a bit in the back of the auto shop but no worries, just head back the guys will take care you.

Definitely referring family and friends, I’ve been to plenty smog places through out the years and I have to admit these guys are very honest. Pricing was affordable and MOST IMPORTANT GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I went based on the reviews and all were true.
It was quick and friendly service .
Pricing was great, i paid $ 45 .
I will be comming here for my next smog check.

I went because of the great deal they offered and the great reviews they had. They were hard to locate at first and were really tucked in the corner of a place that easily got crowded and cramped. My first impression was a little unsure at first but the employee that assisted us made it very easy and overall a good experience. It was a really hot day, I didn’t want to wait forever but he managed to multi-​task very well and ended up working on my smog check while helping someone else which saved me a lot of time. 15 minutes and I was done. He took my groupon voucher, swiped my card, gave me my receipt, and I was done! I recommend going at the non peak times to avoid getting cramped or having to wait your turn since it’s such a small space over there.

Went here with friend as a drive by, google search for quick smog. Tester asked how I heard of shop, and informed google. friendly, but not completely upfront or informed me of any discounts as mentioned in other posts.
I was not aware of the coupon’s available nor was it ever presented. 1^st price quoted was $ 63. then $ 67. Was in a pinch, and had to get this done immediately, despite seeing other ads for $ 20 — $ 25, However, those shops were further out, and I was limited in time.
He informs price is due to the size of the car. Accepted to go ahead with testing. SMOG failed, and acted like he was doing me a favor by only charging $ 57.00, due to inaccurate readings onset by recent car repair. They offered to retest my car for an additional $ 36.00, once issue clears itself. Really???
Knowing what I know now… I would not go to these guys and urge others to take heed.
I feel cheated, and after further research and looking into these reviews. They do the work process, quick, sincere in how they kept info, but definitely not completely honest.
Apparently, in my case, not all people are offered discounts or treated equally.
Gave 2 stars, since people tend to discount low and high ratings to get true review.

Can’t imagine the process being any easier. Learned of this place through a Groupon offer and was very pleased with the friendliness of the technician and the speed of the process. Granted there was nobody else getting a smog test at the time I arrived, but even if there was, it probably wouldn’t have been more than a five minute wait per person because that’s how quick my smog test was.

Will be coming back again! Was quickly greeted by their friendly and funny staff. Service was fast and easy and everything was as it said on the groupon.

I found out about this place because of a Groupon but even if there’s not a Groupon in two years, I will go to this place again. I’m definitely sending my bride.
I live in Burbank, but it was worth the drive because that guy was so danged nice!

I purchased a Groupon for their services. I was very impressed with the customer service. I went there without an appointment and they had me out within 10 minutes (even though there was another car undergoing a check when I arrived). They had a comfortable waiting area with sofas and refreshments which is something I did not expect. The staff was kind, courteous, and efficient. Getting the notice from the DMV about needing a smog check is always an annoying inconvenience but the folks at Van Nuys Smog Check made it painless. I would definitely go there again.
