Saw the 19.95 Unilocal ad, drove all the way here and he quoted me $ 68 said he give me eight dollars off and it would just be 60… Wtf?

I just took my car as a repeat customers and service was again great.

Open Sundays which is a big plus. Coupons on website I think may be expired but they are very, very reasonable and offered me a good discount regardless. Much quicker than other smog places I have been. Been ripped off before so I am very skeptical but I was pleased with this place. Will be back again.

If I could give negative stars I would. Fuck this place. Stood here for 15 minutes and watched him kiss some pretty girl’s butt and never even acknowledge me or my wife. You know how as a customer, when you enter a business and the proprietor looks busy, you try to subtly let them know you’re there by doing little things — try to make eye contact, stand in a place where they can see you, move to another place where they might see you. We did all that. Two of us, two separate bodies trying to get the guy’s attention. We walked up to his desk while he was typing in the computer, then stood by the bay, then stood by our car out by the bay. Then stood some more. Some girl showed up and squeezed her car between ours and the garage bay and he immediately acknowledged her. Um, our car was right there! Then he proceeded to enter her name into the computer, then walk past both my wife and me, then open the hood of another car. Not even a, «I’m busy but I’ll get to you» or anything. When you have to work hard to get the business owner to even let you be a customer, there’s a problem. Lost my business.

Got here at 10AM on Sunday as their website states that’s when they open. It was all locked up, so we waited around 15 minutes or so. We called, no answer. We then confirmed with the car wash that the smog place is in fact supposed to be open at 10– yup. Finally we decided to grab a quick breakfast and come back a few minutes later. We get back, yay they’ve opened! But now there’s a 45 minute wait.
Additionally, they refused to honor their online coupon on weekends (even though the coupon does NOT state ANY restrictions) and instead charged us an extra $ 10 for the Sunday test. They then proceeded to charge another $ 10 extra claiming our Wrangler is a truck– never been charged for it being a truck in the 10+ years it’s been in California. All in all it came to about $ 70. We usually pay around $ 35.
Lastly, there was a young kid running around, 10ish, presumably the owners kid? He was riding his bike around the lot, etc. He wasn’t disruptive, but it’s just not really a safe place for kids to hang out? Also not safe and unappealing was the smoking of cigarettes in the garage by employees while they were operating the equipment.
On the bright side the long wait gave me plenty of time to draft this review! In conclusion, if you need a Sunday smog check the options are limited. My advice is to get it done elsewhere. Preferably during the week.

No frills, but still nicer (and cheaper) than some smog places that I’ve been to. Used the coupon from the Pennysaver… I believe the same coupon is available online, but be aware it’s not valid on wkends!
The owner is friendly enough and there is plenty of comfortable seating in the waiting area.

I found a coupon for their smog check in the Pennysaver, and I was looking for a good smog place near me. Quick and courteous service, the owner went through the itemization of my bill, and I left with a smile! Highly recommended.

I took my car to this place for a smog check on Sunday. It’s one of the only places open n a Sunday. Their website lists the price for a smog check online as $ 21.50. I told them this when I got there and they said that’s not right but they lost the code to change it online. The smog check ended up being about $ 35 after the DMV registration which is usually $ 9 extra anyways so it wasn’t much more than listed. The guy was pretty quick about everything and personable. There were a few workers hanging out and everyone seems pretty professional. Overall, I’d go back again for my next smog.
