I work around the corner from Sun West also known as A-​1 Auto body. Today when I went into the shop for an estimate one of the owners told me to «Fuck off» and «get the fuck out of his office» because about 2 years ago they gave me an estimate for a different car accident and I ended up taking my car somewhere else for repairs. I am not allowed to shop around for the best price? I am shocked by this guy’s lack of business skills, his rudeness, and his willingness to be verbally aggressive. All I did in the past was take my car elsewhere for the repair and he has been waiting 2 years to cuss me out? I told him off, but remain really shocked by his behavior. This kind of treatment should not be condoned. He has lost my business and you should go elsewhere too.

I have been using Sun West Auto Body since 1987, as it was recommended to me by a good friend. Bill is the owner, a super nice guy and really knows his stuff.
I recommend this place to everyone.

I can’t address the shop’s work, only the character of the shop’s owner. I was out of town on assignment as a personal assistant, and on my way to catch a plane. I had scheduled to have my employer’s car serviced by a mechanic in the neighborhood, but when I arrived after-​hours the shop was closed with no visible way to leave the car. The lights were on at Sun West Auto Body, so I went in to ask for advice. Recognizing a damsel in distress, Bill (Sun West’s owner) offered to hold my car in his secure lot overnight and deliver it to the neighboring shop in the morning — and that’s exactly what he did. He even arranged a ride for me to the airport. I’m back home now and grateful for Bill’s strong work ethic (still working at 7:30 p.m. on a Tuesday night), for his resourcefulness, and for his trustworthiness. There are clearly good people in this world — Bill among them. I’m adding Sun West Auto Body to my list of resources, should I ever need body work in Southern California, or need to have my faith restored in humanity. Thanks again, Bill.

We were referred to Sun West by our mechanic of 15 yrs, Tom. (AI Woodland Hills). Bill was extremely friendly and accommodating during the appointment process (had to reschedule due to car mechanical problem with our car). The subsequent phone calls were just as pleasant and professional as the initial phone call. Body work had to be done on the car last year. However the paint started to peel off. Without hesitation, Bill agreed to take care of the problem without question. The paint job was completed on a timely manner. The car looks like it is brand new and he even took care of some dents and discoloration. Highly recommend Bill and his hard working team!

Oh my gosh, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Bill. He’s really good at what he does. He’s very transparent and the quality of his work is better than anyone we’ve ever gone to… and we’ve gone through a handful. Bill’s shop (Sun West Auto) does all the body repair work for our mechanics’ two auto shops. They don’t do shortcuts. He’s honest, does a great job and we constantly send him clients. We found out about him through our mechanics and will only do body work through his shop.

When you’re at the point that your auto body shop owner knows your family, you know you’ve been visiting way too often! So is the case for us this last year and let me tell you, it doesn’t come any better than Bill and his team at SunWest.
At the risk of sounding like a paid advertisement for them, they just rock! To have someone in this business tell you something and then stand by his word… unheard of! His pricing is fair and the length of time to do a job is quite reasonable. Bill is honest and wants to make his customers happy. He knows his business and works well with or without insurance. He isn’t looking to rip anyone off and most importantly, he can be trusted.
In this day and age, it is really a pleasure to work with a professional, especially in an industry that is filled with unscrupulous people. Thanks Bill!
