Great experience. I haven’t had to get a smog check in over 15 years, so I didn’t know if it was going to be a hassle, take a long time, cost a lot, etc. I was in and out in under 5 minutes. Yes, 5. And he gave me a discount, even though I couldn’t get internet access to show my discount. So easy from beginning to end. Highly recommend.

You drive in, looking around like a confused deer because it’s just a lot with lots of cars and three businesses operating out of the same 200 sq. ft. area.
Finally, someone approaches your vehicle, tells you to double park your car, give another stranger your keys, and wait and indeterminate amount of time.

All this happened to me, only to be told my car would fail… not because anything is wrong with the car, but because it is «not ready.» Basically, I just had $ 1200 of work done on my car to fix everything wrong with it, but I need to drive it «50−100 more miles» before an assessment can actually be made.
I paid $ 40 for this miserable experience. Thanks, Smog Zone! I’ll be sure to drive those 50 – 100 miles far away from your establishment for my next check!

Super quick and painless. Having to get a smog check is kind of a drag, but these guys make it easy. I was in and out in about 20 minutes.
The guys working there are very nice and happy to chat with you. They take care of sending the information to the DMV electronically, so all you have to do is pay your registration.

Another notice from the DMV and another great experience at Smog Zone. I highly recommend this place to anyone who needs to get their car smog cert. I was in and out with enough time to swing by the AAA office for my tags. I was sporting new tags in no time!
Here’s a tip: drive slow when approaching because there a lot of cars popping out of driveways since there are a lot of mechanic shops on this street. You don’t wanna bang up your ride!
