Polisky Michael A MD

I have been a diabetic for the past 20 years. I monitor myself closely, but about two years ago found myself struggling to balance my sugar levels. I felt very much on the edge, both physically and mentally. I was about to give up when I had the privilege of meeting a young and clever doctor. He pressed the reset button in my head and we started all over again. The result? Here I am, one year after that meeting, with follow up visits every three months, and an A1C of 6.15 average. I honestly believe I couldn’t have done it without Dr. Poliskey’s instructions and encouragement.

I really like Dr. Polisky. This was my second time seeing him and it feels very good to have a doctor that genuinely seems like they care about my health, not getting the appointment over with as fast as possible. Seemed very knowledgable about all aspects of medicine as he referred me to the correct type of doctor for my condition, while doing as much as he could with his expertise. I wish more doctors would realize that a little bit of compassion goes a very long way.

Been going to Dr. Polisky for about 4 years now. He’s always up to the latest technology. I attribute his expertise and care to saving my life and extending my years.

He only deals with people over the age of 50. If you have any health issues and of younger age he doesn’t know how to treat you. His med options are usually not covered so after $ 458 in just mess that didn’t work. I’m also out office visits and more. $ 850+ out of pocket.
Nice but not capable. Office is ok. But be prepared to wait and wait and wait. They are very very slow. And you’ll pay for it with pay parking.

I began seeing Dr. Polisky about five months ago. His initial humor was a bit odd, and I was a little concerned. My concerns went away after his office called me each time with my blood results. He was spot on with my diagnosis! My health was deteriorating before and I am now on a great track. My AIC went from 9.8 to 6.7 and I lost 20 pounds. His initial humor disappeared after the first visit. He has also addressed other issues I had and helped me with my insurance issues! I am grateful that he is my endocrinologist!

My first (Bev Hills) endocrinologist left the city. I tried another in the Valley but his office was an unpleasant place, the scheduler rude, and he seemed cut-​and-​paste. Polisky took a lot of time on the first visit; arranged a consult with a visiting dietician (yes, from one of the big pharma corps, he admitted, but knowledgable about diet) that really helped me with great info; and returns calls the same day. My internist who does my annual physicals for my HMO missed a lot of diagnoses that the Bev hills endocrinologist, a woman and Canadian-​trained and very thorough about early intervention to manage conditions, worked on right away. Polisky is the closest I’ve come to replacing her, and I look forward to managing my health well with him and his office in my «senior years!»

I was quite disappointed with Dr.Polisky.
First of all, he missed my diagnosis and I am glad I decided to get a second and third opinions from two other doctors because those two other docs finally (after 3 years of suffering from various symptoms) diagnosed me and I am now getting the right treatment.
Secondly, I found Dr. Polisky to have poor bedside manner. He has an odd sense of humor and he made a few comments that I found quite displeasing as a woman. Overall, I don’t feel that he was able to establish a good rapport with me. I was also left with no help dealing with my symptoms and advised to come back for another set of blood work in a month.

Top notch doc. Was recommended by my GP. Takes the time to explain condition and treatment. Always call back quickly when you leave a message.
Had other Endocrinologist, but Dr Polisky is the one I’ll go see in need, even though I live 30 – 40 minutes away.

I was referred to this doctor by someone I know. This person said he is a very good doctor. I don’t know if that is true because I never got past the office staff.
I called to make an appointment and had a few questions. I was told only one person could assist me and she was not available. «She will call you sometime today». I asked, there is no one else in the office that can assist me? Again, I was told that this person would contact me someone time today to answer my questions then she hung up on me. I still had other questions. I called back and stated for them to take my name off their list. Since you hung up on me and didn’t have time to assist me, I will find a different doctor that the office staff isn’t so rude.
I refuse to help pay the salary of anyone that gives me bad customer service. Especially since I am paying cash.
