Quick and effective service and the Doctor was very thorough and was quickly determine my change of prescription needs for contacts.

Dr. Nishimura, in Dr. Khoury’s office, is the best. Very thorough exam and really cares about his patients. My prescription has been changing a lot lately, and he’s always nice about making sure I have the best vision possible. Excellent.

The service was very good and they took my Blue Shield vision insurance. I had checked in advance and they are a provider. It cost me nothing and i also got my new glasses at a considerable discount. I go to Costco anyway so it was very convenient. No wait and a thorough exam by an Asian doctor whose name I’ve forgotten. Very nice. The glasses RX was fine when I got them. You can trust Costco to be partnered with a good professional… they wouldn’t do less.

I was lucky enough to find Dr. Khoury. he was right on about my contact lens RX… I will not go anywhere else. I just made an appointment for my husband. I don’t have insurance but the price is ok. I have a benefit from another medical place but I trust Dr. Khoury to much to go anywhere else…

Dr. Khoury is by far the most competent and knowledgeable optometrist I ever dealt with. I cannot recommend him and his team enough.

Taking the advice of friends who swear by Dr. Khoury’s expertise, I went in for an eye exam having never used Costco for this purpose, though I have had Costco fit lenses to my own frames many times. An ultimate, experienced professional, he provided a thorough exam with his excellent personality and service at a very good price. Dr. Khoury is a gem! Don’t let the fact he is in a Costco deter you. He is better than any lenses Costco can produce. Feel free, as I did, to take the prescription he generates elsewhere to have your glasses made. He does not pressure his patients to get their glasses made through Costco. I place Dr. Khoury at the top of the heap with the best I’ve experienced and will not hesitate to return to him the next time it is time to see my optometrist. I felt well cared for, not rushed, with all my questions answered. Thank you, Dr. Khoury!

I am a big fan of this place. Very good service, great value, and excellent bedside manner from the doctors. I will not go anywhere else. Also, you do not need a Costco membership to be a patient.

I went on a Sunday and saw Dr. Isabel Val again. She is the best. She seems genuinely concerned about the accuracy of your eye exam and brought up other factors (outside of age) that could bring on a change in your eyes. Highly Recommended!

Highly recommend this practice. I’ve been going to them for a few years and I’ve seen Dr. Khoury a couple times and another Dr. in his office and you can instantly tell they both care about their patients and that they are happy doing what they do.
And everyone is very nice… what more could you want?

I love these guys. Its the quickest and easiest place to get your prescription done. The doctors are very personable and are accurate. You also get to do some shopping at Costco so its very convenient!

My eye exam was with Dr. Park and it was fine. The prescription and glasses were fine. My negative review relates to the truly unethical experience I received when picking up a second set of glasses. I had damaged both of my original glasses. Since my next annual appointment was only a few months away, I wanted to have a surviving set of lenses popped into new frames. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money because I figured my prescription might change in just a couple of months at my next scheduled eye appointment with Dr. Park. One new set of frames with my existing lenses might cost $ 60 or $ 70 and I was fine with paying that much to have one pair of functioning glasses to carry me over to my next appointment.
The woman who helped me — Jackie — really pressed hard for me to buy two new glasses instead of getting just one existing pair fixed. I said I didn’t want to pay $ 450+ for a complete replacement of my two old glasses when I had an annual eye appointment coming up and I would need to pay another $ 450+ in just a few months if my prescription changed (and at my age my prescription tends to change every year).
Jackie assured me that the store’s policy was that if your prescription changed within 90 days after getting lenses made that Costco Optical would make you new lenses for free. And she said that if I put those free lenses in the frames she was encouraging me to buy, the whole replacement for a new prescription would be free if I just bought these two new pairs now.
It sounded too good to be true but I ordered them anyway. When I got home I started to worry and I called Costco Optical to change the order (less than 25 minutes later so no harm to Costco.) The gal was processing the order fine when Jackie got on the phone and started arguing with me that I was making a mistake, that I was at NO risk of a prescription change costing me anything if it happened in 90 days, and pressing me to not change the order.
So I kept the order for two new glasses, but with a desire to see if, when I picked up the glasses, that somebody else there would verify Jackie’s claimed policy. Today I went to pick up the glasses and I asked about Jackie’s claimed policy. All of the ladies there confirmed for me that there was NO SUCH POLICY. I asked to see the manager and she confirmed there was no such 90 day policy. I was furious and lost my temper in the store. The manager — her name was Brooke — said she would make good on Jackie’s promise even though it was not their policy.
So I appreciate the manager’s promise to make things right, although I will have to put it to the test in the next 90 days. Needless to say I wrote down the names of everyone I spoke with to make sure I can cite names if, when I have to go there again, someone will hopefully believe me.

Iam a long time customer at Costco since 1984 when it was Price Club. I have been to the Eye Dr Before And had Requested Dr Khoury for my oldest son who needed an eye test for work. He went in did the test called me on the way out because they wouldn’t accept his check, they wanted cash, NO, I called they accepted the check. The I was told by son still in high school that they send him to the associate Dr, NOT what I request I specifically requested Dr Khoury, the reception said oh thats right someone wrote you in the wrong spot? Sure they did anyway I had to make a second appointment for my younger son I walked in there specifically had the girl request Dr Khoury wrote it on the card told here only Tuesday the day he’s in only him. Im the customer paying I can request whom Im comfortable with. Once again my son was sent to the other Dr. They obviously do it on purpose cause Dr Khoury wants to move his patients to the other Dr make more money while not honoring the commitment. Yes I called him I got some lame excuse about another mistake. Not thinking it was.

I saw Dr. Nancy Park here at the optometrist office at the Van Nuys Costco and I couldn’t be more pleased with her or the staff. The girls at the front desk were both friendly and efficient, despite it being late in the day and dealing with a jammed packed schedule. Dr. Park was able to see me nearly on time for my scheduled appointment for an updated contact lens prescription and she was quick, knowledgable and informative.
I was a cash paying patient (no vision coverage on my insurance plan) and the exam fees were reasonable, although you do have to pay slightly extra for «speciality lenses» (I have astigmatism in one eye). Wish that was noted when I inquired about prices over the phone. Despite that minor set back, I plan on continuing seeing Dr. Park for my basic prescription needs!

Arrived early for 3 o’clock appointment today waited about 15 min to get set up and do the test waited another 15 min for Dr Taranto which was just about 10 min consultation about my contacts great friendly staff. Dr Taranto is great will definitely becoming back to see him

Dr. Taranto was incredible. Went to him for contacts and glasses and it was quick and painless. Was very knowledgeabale and filled me in on all my options. Will keep coming back to him. Great place.

I am very acquainted with visiting the eye doctor yearly for contacts, but recently I developed an ulcer which was both painful and annoying. I saw Dr. Taranto for the first time after years at this office and he was awesome! His personality and medical judgment were so right on! He had me healed and laughing in no time… I will definitely only make appointments with Dr. Taranto from now on!

I was here to get my son his yearly contact lens exam. I have to say the doctor and his staff are very nice and friendly! I did a walk in because we weren’t planning to do it today and the wait was only about 3 min. The entire exam took about 7 minutes. I will definitely be back here for any future optometric needs.

The Doctor is amazing and will take the time to explaing everything. His crew is very helpful and friendly.
And, did you know that you can get the best hotdog around for $ 1.50 a few steps away.

I walked into the office on a Sunday morning with no appointment expecting a really long wait (about an hour or so). The young man who was sitting at the front desk kindly asked if I had an appointment. I replied with a no and asked how long the wait would be. He chuckled, smiled at me and replied: «No wait at all!»
That sentence was very, very pleasing to hear.
After filling out the office paperwork, he took me to the back of the office and ran the preliminary tests. I sat back down in thr front of the office, and a few minutes later I was called into the exam room by Dr. Taranto. He was extremely kind and very patient with all my questions (headaches, eyes feeling tired, poor vision while driving at night), and even about trying contacts for the first time.
Dr. Taranto fitted me with a pair of contacts, checked my vision, and escorted me out to a little table where another young receptionist trained me with wearing contacts. Both receptionists were extremely polite and patient during what seemed to be half-​an-​hour of training, and myself getting mad because I couldn’t get the lenses in. (I did though!)
The whole exam was totaled to $ 109. Not bad for a glasses and contacts prescription, a pair of contacts along with a little sample kit for contacts, three months of FREE followup care, as well as great customer service.
AND I got to get all my Costco shopping done!

I initially called the place for an appointment and they said I could just walk-​in. I didn’t have a Costco membership, they said that was okay too if I just need an exam. You need a Costco membership if you would like to buy glasses.
I showed up as a walk in on a Sunday afternoon. I wrote my name checked-​in, then grabbed a hot dog at the food court, finished it, then went back to the office and they were ready for me.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. I kept flinching at the thing that blew air into my eye and they were very patient with me. Their equipment to check the health of my eyes was way more advanced than some of the other optometrists I have been to.
After the preliminary exam, I waited about 2 minutes then the doctor immediately saw me for the main exam. He was very friendly and helpful. I explained I wanted to get my vision checked out since I was having very bad and frequent headaches. It turns out my last optometrist wrote me a bad prescription that overcorrected my vision slightly in one eye.
This place doesn’t take VSP, but for an exam for glasses and contacts, the bill came out to about $ 104 which was very well priced.
This is now my go to place for eye exams and hot dogs.
