White Vincent Optometrist

Eek, I’m not a fan of Dr. White’s receptionist. I’ve called multiple optometrist offices around the area, and found this receptionist to be the rudest of them all. Why go for an eye exam at a supposed good optometrist, when his first line of defense is a rude person?
First off, she had answered sloppily by fumbling with the phone. Then she proceeded to talk to me with conviction after I told her the reason I was calling. only to place me on hold right after. Twice. Sure, maybe the office phones could’ve been ringing off the hook at that moment — but customer service was not fit to brag about.
Dr. White, you have lost a potential good and loyal patient over one of your employees. For shame.

The entire staff is super friendly. Parking is immediately on your right when you turn in. Highly recommended!

Dr. White is amazing. Had my first appointment today and he fully deserves 5 stars. Courteous, professional, and knowledgable. Better than you could hope for.

I love love love Dr. White. Unlike other clinics that don’t even pay attention to their patients, his services are top-​notch from the second you come into his office. I’ve been his patient for a little over 5 years now, but I’ve never experienced any issues… until today.
It pains me to strike a star out, but I had to. For a while, he has never had a receptionist until maybe a year ago. I happened to call on a holiday to check if they were open, hoping to get an appointment to purchase glasses and contacts. Usually, clinics’ receptionists would be knowledgeable in terms of pricing/​rates, but this one just took my name (misspelled it even after asking for the spelling) and my number so she can ask Dr. White.
When she called back, she asked for my name spelling again because, apparently, I gave her the wrong spelling (but how in the world do you misspell your own name? Like seriously?) so she started arguing with me. I then told her that I just wanted to get contacts so she asked what time I could get there, which in turn I asked if she meant I could go there today. She replied, «you didn’t answer my question. What time can you get here?» For a lack of context, of course I asked her what day she means because for a holiday like today, I can get there anytime. Instead of letting me know politely that today is booked, she asked me with a snarky attitude why I didn’t call earlier and that she doesn’t understand why I’m saying today is a holiday when today is a normal work day for everyone else because she’s at work and her son is at school. Columbus day is a holiday for county employees, but I don’t understand why I had to explain work days off with her when she’s not my employer in the first place. I really just needed glasses and contacts. I told her that I can’t make it after work because they’ll be closed so she said, «then what do you want me to do? I don’t know what you’re telling me then!»
I seriously have never had any issues with Dr. White’s office until now. I felt I had nothing else going for me with this lady on the other line so I told her I’ll just go somewhere else, which is heartbreaking for me because you can never find another optometrist like Dr. White.
Point is, go for Dr. White because he will give you the BEST service for anything you need for your vision… Just make sure you speak with him, and avoid the receptionist at all costs if you don’t want a headache.

I am always pleased when I walk out of my optometrist’s office… which is why I choose to remain with Dr. White, regardless of the distance from my new home location. My eyesight thanks you, Dr. White. :)

If I could give Dr. White a 10 on here; I would! Where do I start sining the praises of this man?! First off, he is so knowledgeable… an excellent specialist. My daughter and husband have been going to him for years. He figured out their specail vision needs and a unique way to help them. He is honest. Period. Another office wanted $ 6,000 worth of therapy, but Dr. White helped my family with special glasses. He is EXTREMELY patient and kind. My daughter has thrown him some curve ball comments about what was going on with her vision. He patiently figures out what she is trying to tell him and solves the issue every time. He is so personable. I have never hugged and kissed a doctor before (asked persmission 1^st). But what Dr. White has done for my family, I was so overcome with graditute. I refer him to friends every chance I get. We drive from Simi Valley; he is definatley worth the trip. Selfishly, I hope he never retires. You will love this man!

I am not a patient of Dr. White’s since I already have an optometrist. However, I manage the medical affairs of a relative who needed an eye exam. I sent her to Dr. White. Dr. White called me to tell me what a pleasure it was to meet my relative and to discuss her eyesight with me.
Based on our phone call, he is one of the most pleasant and cheery guys you’ll ever meet. Also, his summary of my relative’s eyesight was very thorough but pitched for a layman to understand.

Finds things other optometrists do not find — for me it is that the vision in my left eye is different from the vision in my right eye. Also, he is very nice, his eye exam is more engaging than most and his prices are reasonable.

Have you ever seen so many 5 stars! he deserved every single one of them! Dr. White is very sweet and down to earth. He is very thorough and will not miss a thing. Great with grown ups and children.

Dr White is the most down to earth, nicest, most personable optometrist I’ve ever met… and with all those groupon deals, man have Ii met more than a handful! He accepts most health insurance coverage and gives patients the most insight/​explanation on your eyes. Hes so easy going it made the exam fly by. Definitely recommend this guy!

Dr. White is an outstanding optometrist. He is knowledgable, experienced and takes the time to provide quality care to each patient. He is never hurried, explains everything clearly and answers all my questions. He has the attitude of a small-​town doctor who takes very good care of his patients, almost like they’re family. He’s been in the business for a long time and his skills are tops.

It was my first time visiting Dr White yesterday and I was so pleased. His personality is awesome, incredibly intelligent and humble. I really appreciated the time he spent discussing and explaining all the questions I had. Was so happy with my visit that I even made an appointment for my dad. I would definitely recommend Dr White to others.

My husband and I have been going to him for years, he really feels like family and treats all his patients with such kindness and respect. I would recommend him to anyone.

He fits you in to his busy schedule. He takes the time to explain and diagnose his patients in a truly effective and highly knowledgeable way.

Dr. White is great! He accepts almost all insurances, has great patient care skills and does an amazing job running the office by himself. Most importantly, he fits you in his busy schedule almost immediately. Would definitely recommend him to anyone who needs a new optometrist.

Saw Dr White yesterday about sight issues I’ve been having. I was so impressed with how much time he took and how well he explained everything to me. It’s a pleasure to find a doctor like him. I highly recommend him.

Dr. White answers his own phone in a friendly manner and fits you in immediately. He has a very calming manner and was very efficient and thorough with my eye dilemma. He spent alot of time with me; explaining the issue in a very caring and professional way. I am very glad to have found him and intent to return for my annual checkup. He’s a gem!

I came to Dr. White through my work insurance, and he turned out to be a terrific find! Dr. White is thorough and always takes his time with his patients. Just as amazing is the fact he remembered my name (and my wife’s) right off the bat, as opposed to some doctors whom you visit for years and still treat you like it’s the first visit every time. I’e gotten three pairs of glasses with him, and all have turned out great. Highly recommended!

I came here through my membership with goldenwest dental vision. Vincent White is a very nice guy. His rates are good, and he did a great job. I came there with a metal splinter in my right eye which was bleeding. He was able to remove it! The only problem I had was the mis-​communication about the cost for the initial visit. My vision was blurry for obvious reasons, so initially before the removal he quoted for just an exam cost. But upon leaving, I didn’t pay attention to what I was actually charged on my credit card. Which more than the exam cost. Still a good price but should have been verbally noted so that I would have been surprised when I saw my billing statement.
Anyhow, I still highly recommend this optometrist. Mis-​communication happens, but he is still a great optometrist and deserves my praise.
