I have 20 years experience! And have been teaching since 2008.

You will learn everything you need to know about djing and crowd control.

I will also help you find the equipment you’ll need to get you started.

All classes are 1 on 1 and your hour consist of hands on only. (conversations of explanation or questions do not count towards your hours.)

You will be learning on serato scratch live or Serato Dj and Turntables, or you can bring any device and program you are using. (I teach on all styles of equipment and genre of music)

You’ll learn how to time transitions with back spins and effects. How to time all music and when to transition in and out.

How to mix from spanish to english or english to spanish! From fast to slow and how to beat juggle and scratch.

I have been djing for 20 years and decided to start doing private lessons to help people interested in this art. These Past 8 yrs have been great and I have had students from all over SoCal.

Jay «Dj LyRiX» Rivas is One of the best Dj’s in the Industry. With his amazing resume and ability to mix any style of music, he has hit So-​Cal with the true abilities that is a Dj.

His background comes from following Dj Mike Daniel of Pure Gold Records and D.Y.P (Darlene Yvonne Productions) since 1997 Break Dancing for them. He was also influenced by world renowned Dj’s Such as Dj Icey Ice owner of Stacks Vinyl, Exclu​sive​Grooves​.com and Dj Virman of Power 106, Far East Movement and Rotations record pool. Being a part of their circle and record pools, Dj LyRiX advanced strong into the scene working in Orange County with fellow Dj’s Oscilate and AK1 as well as MC Nemesis covering all of Down Town Fullerton and Down Town Long Beach.
