Established in 1991.

Expert Plumbing & Rooter, Inc. is a family owned and operated company plumbing company that does plumbing repairs and installs. We have been doing plumbing for over 22 years already.

We started off only servicing the Van Nuys area, but over the years, we have expanded to service a larger community which include: Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley and even Santa Clarita. We also do plumbing services in San Fernando Valley which includes: Van Nuys, Encino, Tarzana, Sherman Oaks, Reseda, Northridge, Woodland Hills, West Hills, and Chatsworth.

My name is Levon and I am the Manager here at Expert Plumbing & Rooter, Inc. I have been with the company for 7 years and am here to answer any plumbing and/​or rooter issues you might have. I moved to Los Angeles because I was given this great opportunity to work at this magnificent plumbing company. I will listen to you about your plumbing problems and make sure a plumber is on his way to help out ASAP. So very happy my husband contacted this company to fix our kitchen sink/​garbage disposal clog. They were prompt and did the job fast. Not to mention their prices are the best in the area.
Levon was extremely helpful and informative with all of our questions and concerns regarding the issue and also rates.

These guys are great. They were very accommodating to my schedule and extremely friendly. I called them because we were having problems with gas in our house. They came out for a free inspection and discovered that everything was okay; the emergency shut-​off valve had been switched off for some reason. They were patient and explained everything in a clear, concise way.
We’ll definitely be using them again in the future.

Beware of their emergency service prices.
I appreciated the fact that they came out on Memorial Day, but charging $ 495 to replace a ice maker valve seems very expensive to me, I understand the $ 120 service call fee, but $ 375 to replace a valve is excessive, they said that it was because they needed to drain the system, but that is a very simple operation, I feel like they take advantage of emergency situations.
I have no complaints as far as the work done, the guys were efficient and professional, the just overcharged me.
I believe that the $ 120 service call fee should be more than enough, there was no need to overcharge.

Every trusting service. Affordable pricing. I got a few other quotes one was outrageous but they came in about the middle and they used quality parts. This company is fully equipped with all the tools needed to repair my main sewer and replace a section in the yard. I looked up the tools they were using and found out that it is the best on the market. Now i know why he was confident in explaining my issue to me. Will recommend to my sister cuz she is also having plumbing issues

Sometimes there are truly good people in the world and Levon, Tony & Rick are such people. They came to my rescue today. Having just had back surgery and an emergency hospital stay this weekend, the last thing I needed was a major plumbing emergency. But today the main line blocked up due to roots and the age of the pipe. Levon came out within 30 minutes of my call and quoted me a very reasonable price and helped me with financing. He knew that not having a working shower would be the worst kind of hardship for me and he and Tony made sure that I would be OK by making it happen for me. It was a lot of hard work and I think more than they expected, but they honored the price and did not leave until everything was done even though it was well after regular hours before they were done. They also left everything clean and tidy. Tony even inspected and serviced both of the toilets for me at no extra charge. Don’t wast time or get stressed calling any other plumbing company — call Levon, Tony & Rick at Expert Plumbing & Rooter. They are my go-​to plumbing company now…

I called Levon at Expert Plumbing late afternoon on a Friday and he was at my house a few hours later. He arrived as scheduled and wasted no time to unclog both my bathroom sink and bath tub. He quoted me $ 85 to snake the sink and the same for the tub. He worked on my bathroom for an hour but my sink was so messed up that he said he would need to come back and prepare a «clean-​out». I explained to Levon that we live in a one bathroom hut and we needed access to our shower ASAP! Even though Levon’s schedule was slammed the following day he promised us that he would return the next day and prepare the clean out. I have had other plumbers try and fix the same sink but were unsuccessful. I would be stuck with a clogged sink and still have to pay. Levon did not do that to me. Before he left on Friday he had a very reasonable, affordable plan.
The next day (on Saturday), Levon, Tony, and Rick arrived as promised and immediately started their work. Within 1.5 hours they were able to unclog both my sink and shower. As a team they work fast, they are professional, and very knowledgeable. All the Unilocal reviews are true. I trust Expert Plumbing and will most def call them again. I highly recommend their expert services. I am a very satisfied customer! Very fair prices too!

Just before Passover our sink overflowed from a backup in out condo. It was 10PM and it was horrific. Guests coming for the holiday and a sink overflowing. One call to Expert Plumbing– who we found on the internet and in less than an hour a plumber arrived and took care of the problem in very little time. Efficient, kind, helpful and most important– responsive to the emergency. Thank you to Levon for sending Peter and saving the holiday for us!

I interviewed over 7 plumbers in and around my area and Levon and Experp Plumbing are the best. They are professional, affordable, punctual, and take time to explain everything to you, step by step. I have had two appointments with both Tony and Levon with Rick and was extremely satisfied on both occasions. I even called past 8:00 pm on a weeknight and Levon picked up right away and answered all of my questions even thought it was after main business hours. I’ve a very discerning customer and i’ve already referred them to two of my friends and family. They are a family owned business and conduct business the way it’s supposed to be done. Had an issue with my water heater and was out of hot water for two days. Found Expert Plumbing & Rooter on Unilocal,called them up and received a quote quickly. Levon, a service technician, was prompt and diagnosed my pilot light and concluded that the thermocouple be replaced. These guys provided excellent service at a reasonable rate and repaired my water heater in under an hour! Will be returning for future services needed.

Had a problem with the drainage, wrote a message to the company and got a very fast explanatory return message that undressed all my questions and concerns.
The owner was very patient gave me time to decide and when I needed the service was on time and very professional.
Everything was as he said it would be, charge exactly what he estimated.
Fixed the issue and gave me 2 year warranty on his job as promised.
Very recommended, very professional and did a great job. All my pipes are as good as new.

With only one bathroom in my house, a backed up main sewer would be bad enough to deal with. Top that with having a houseguest and a late Saturday afternoon, it could have been a nightmare. I started calling local people to come and snake as I’ve had to do in the past due to major tree roots and old main line. I certainly didn’t want to call the last company who had ripped me off. After speaking to a few different people, I decided on Expert as they were friendly and helpful on the phone and said they could be out to my house in a couple hours.
Levon showed up on time and was very polite and professional as the last reviewer also noted. He was honest, showed me where the problem was (wasn’t a surprise because I already knew) and he offered several options to ultimately fix it. And while I was only prepared to do the snake fix at the moment, I will most likely call them to do the bigger job based on Levon’s work and ethics. He even offered to come back and snake again if it backed up in the next week or so at no cost!
It’s nice to know there are still good people out there that don’t try to take advantage.
I highly recommend Levon and Expert Plumbing.

Fantastic services! We had the leaking and hot water problems so we searched on Unilocal and thanks god we found them. Within 45 minutes after we made a phone call, Levon and his crew shown up and diagnosed all the problems super fast!!! Wow, talk about 24 hr. Emergency Response Team! I found their number through Unilocal and I called them earlier this evening at 6:30pm due to a water heater problem. Levun arrived at 7:34pm, half hour ahead of schedule.
Levun was polite, knowledgeable and prompt. He even showed us how to resolve the issue ourselves in case we run into the same problem again. Granted, it was what we were doing all along but the difference is, he made it work. He was out the door within 10 minutes.
I’m happy the other 3 companies I called prior to calling Expert Plumbing: 1) was unavailable until tomorrow, 2) put me on hold for 10 minutes and 3) went straight to voicemail. Thanks to their shortcomings, I found my go-​to for plumbing services.

The plumber seemed really confident in his work. I only had a shower arm replaced but it was something I knew I couldn’t do on my own. Everyone at Expert Plumbing were very nice and professional from the person answering the phones to the plumber. The job only took a few minutes. However I would trust them with a more extensive plumbing job.
I would highly recommend calling this company for any of your plumbing needs.

Levon and 2 of his crew came to replace our pipes. And once again, did an excellent job in less than 4 hours when I was anticipating a couple of days work! All new pipes through bathroom and kitchen at a very reasonable price. Levon also takes the time to explain in detail the work that needed to be done before and after the job is finished. I recommend these guys to every homeowner I know!

Today i had to look for a plumber to get my tankless installed so i shopped around craigslist which was a total crapper (no pun intended *har har*)
My sis told me that these guys do a good job and not to go to craigslist cuz they just suck. You get what you pay for i guess. So these dudes hooked it up because i told them my sister referred me.

This is the second time our company uses this business and we could not be happier with the work that is done. After three failed attempts at reaching our building’s manager, I gave up and asked if we could just call our own plumber to which I was given the go-​ahead. I called them yesterday at 4pm and they were able to schedule a visit with us for this morning.
We had them out to take a look at our staff toilet because it was filling up, but not cutting the water when it reached the appropriate level. Thankfully, the issue turned out to be just the handle. We will be keeping their number in our directory so that any future plumbing issues can be addressed by them. Thank you again!

If I could give more stars, I would. I’m not a huge Unilocaler, but when I come across a company that I feel everyone needs to use, I want you to know about it.
I woke up this morning and tried to shower, only to find we had no hot water. We immediately found Expert Plumbing via Unilocal and cold called them after reading some reviews.
They spoke perfect english, were knowledgable and friendly on the phone and got a guy to my house to look at it in just 4 hours. Levon was so courteous, knowledgable, answered my questions quickly and with confidence, fixed the hot water heater in 10 minutes, and even took the time to give me a quote on some other items like tub replacement.
We have our plumbing company now! I have a google doc with all my household needed vendors and this company is going to be the only one under Plumbing.
Use them! You won’t regret it!

TONY IS THE MAN!
we found Expert Plumbing & Rooter during the inspection process for our current home but Tony’s skills and work ethic are what has kept him as our permanent plumber.
The previous owner of our home was a paranoid hot mess who decided to do all of the plumbing/​electrical/​structural work on his own (because you know, as a part time chimney sweep and chef he was totally qualified to do that.
When it came to our attention that our sprinklers were flooding the neighborhood –because the former owner paved over part of the yard but didn’t cap off the sprinklers– Tony was at our home within minutes of our frantic phone call and didn’t even charge us. Granted, all he did was shut off the knob but David and I are idiots when it comes to stuff like that and were more than happy to pay him just for coming out and then some.
Fast forward a few weeks and in the 20 minutes i was gone to pickup the kiddo from school, one of my kitchen sinks leaked enough to create a small lake. Long story short, Tony fixed yet another mistake in this lovely but ill-​constructed home.
He is currently fixing two more issues (our prep sink and small guest room bathroom toilet). Not only is he punctual, professional and honest, he’s just an all around great person and plumber.
So call Tony for any of your plumbing needs! But if you don’t call him, definitely don’t call the guy who we bought this house from!
