Wow! I just ordered the breakfast plate with eggs, plantains, and beans. What a disaster. Beans were like water with bean flavor, I think they gave me one egg, and the plantains weren’t cooked correctly. I’ve never had a breakfast so bad. I will never order here again. If you would like good Salvadorean food go to carousel on victory and kester. Oh and this plate was 10 bucks! I hope the owner takes this review seriously.

Don Diego’s is a small family restaurant. They serve a variety of foods from Mexican to Salvadorean. One of my favorite dishes at Don Diego’s is the Shrimp Cocktail. They also have pretty good Pupusas and Burritos. The prices are good, they also offer karaōke to their guest. A great place to eat.

the green salsa is better than the red salsa as a Mexican American that knows a good salsa, they should improve on this. but their tacos with hand made tortillas make up for that. yum the lady that always takes my order is always very sweet and makes sure I leave with everything I need.

Horrible! The place is ugly inside and the people are not nice and don’t look happy to serve you. The food is yucky, like the sauce they use is out of the can. Prices are to high for food that is not good. I will not be going there ever again.

This place sux, the service is really bad and the one waitress they have, had the biggest attitude, was not friendly, never greeted us and when we sat down we asked if she could wipe the dirty table and she takes a dry napkin and wipes one corner of the table with two swipes. Wow! The manudo is not good… the shrimp cocktail was $ 11 and sooo not worth it! We had to walk up to the counter to get a refill on the basket of chips because the waitress never came back. It looks like people only go there to order buckets of beer and listen to juke box Spanish music… Don’t go here unless you want to be seriously disappointed!

This place was awful. I ordered a chicken and beef enchilada platter. Not only was the food bland, but there was a hair in it. I ordered an orange juice and it took them 10 minutes to get it to me and it was Tampico, and they charged me $ 3 for that! Ridiculous. Worst place I’ve been to in a long time. I don’t review many places. I only place reviews if I feel they are deservingly bad that I have to warn others.

I eat here every week for my lunch break. Their corn tortillas are really good. Thick and warm. Even though it is a seafood mexican restaurant, their asada is great. It has a charred, crispy texture.

I come to this place to eat great tasting food, no air conditioner needed or hot women to look at, good place to watch futbol matches and knock back some beers. Straight and to the point, i’ve had nearly everything in the menu and I haven’t been disappointed yet. I eat most of the healthy stuff, the seafood octopus is amazing

Ive been eating at this place for over a year, I work around the corner. I’ve gotten but ONE thing, ever: The chicken burrito. Which is amazing. I’ve probably eaten 40 of these things since last summer. But lately, they changed up the formula. I don’t know what they did, but now it’s literally like taking a sock, and dunking one end of it in a vat of pure grease, it is absolutely oozing with it. It never used to be like this, I really(sadly) cannot even eat them anymore. I just got one, and it had more grease than say an entire medium pizza from Pizza Hut or someplace. It was unbelievable, it got everywhere, it was literally running out of the bottom in a stream as I was holding it, I couldn’t finish it. If I had a hangover, this burrito would have eradicated it on contact. Goddamn shame, but I think I’m gonna have to cross this off the list of local lunch choices. Maybe their other food is terrific and it’s just this? I don’t know. Goddamn shame.

This place is like your old comfy pair of sneakers. Nothing fancy. Often times severely worn, and sometimes even a bit dirty. It’s a no thrills, no frills kind of place that always seems to hit the spot! I’ve been coming here for over a year now, and have developed a few favorites. One of them would have to be the special burrito(Wet). As I have mentioned, This is your run of the mill garden variety burrito. No exotic special ingredients. No special sauce. It’s not gourmet, but what it is, is a well made burrito. The burritos do have that american influence, but who’s top say that’s a bad thing?! Another favorite is their seafood plate. A mix of Octopus, Mussels, Shrimp, Crab and Scallops served with Spanish rice, beans and cheese. Simple yet crave worthy dish from Don Diego. The lady that works here si very friendly and let’s me get away with asking for extras or substitutions. I usually ask for pico de gallo instead of the house salsa with the complimentary chips, and she’s always very accommodating. Makes you feel right at home. Good mexican food for a good price, How I wish other things were this simple.

Headed back to my favorite hidden gem in the SF Valley ;-) This time, I ordered a shrimp burrito and it did not disappoint! It comes loaded with baby shrimp, lettuce, tomatoes, rice and beans. I opted not to include any cream. It was soo good and so flavorful ! Like a true Mexican Shrimp Burrito. I enjoyed every bite of it! The only thing I would of changed a bit would be the shrimp — would of been nice if they had been grilled! haha I’m docking one star because it does not have air conditioning :( We came on a hot day and they have fans, but we were still hot in there.
