Danny’s Fresh Meat Produce

I’m not really sure why there are so many 5-​star reviews on this place — I definitely wouldn’t call it ‘as good as it gets’ (to use Unilocal description of a 5 star rating). It’s a very small place — the front part of the store is a small produce section (with actually a decent selection for the size of the store) and the back is the meat counter, which was pretty un-​impressive. They have some unique items that you probably couldn’t find at a regular grocery store, but overall the selection was very small — not what I would expect from a place that describes itself as a meat shop. The prices were a little high but not outrageous. I could see the appeal from a convenience standpoint if you lived in the neighborhood, but I wouldn’t go out of your way to come here — not to mention the parking is a nightmare. I can also see coming here if you’re looking for something a little more exotic or like to support small businesses. In my opinion there are some better options in the area so I don’t plan on returning to Danny’s.

This is the only place I buy meat from. Anytime somebody tries it for the first time, they always ask where the meat is from. There is no substitute for Dannys. I know people who drive from Burbank just to buy meat from Dannys. Try it once and you’ll see what I’m talking about. My favorite is the filet mignon BBQ meat.

We got lamb chops from this market today and they are amazing! They have supreme quality lamb! Their in-​person and over the phone customer service is great too. I totally appreciate that because it is not common from some of the smaller mom and pops markets. We paid $ 50 for 16 lamb chops… Not sure if that is considered average price or expensive but we will definitely go back to try their other meat also.

I found Danny’s on Unilocal while looking for a butcher shop to provide a roast for a large family gathering on Easter. 5 stars is not enough to describe the service and quality of the meat I received from Danny’s. I called several times and spoke to Eddie, not sure if he is the owner or just an excellent employee, but he was so kind and patient, made excellent recommendations, and really took the time to talk to me — nobody does this anymore! When I picked up the roast it was all ready to go and he had taken extra steps to ensure it tasted delicious — even taking the time to tell me how long to roast it and check for doneness. This was a pot roast that tasted like a prime rib! It was amazingly delicious and so tender, if Danny’s wasn’t 30 miles from my house I would buy all my meat there. I’ll be back for sure though, this is the kind of business that I feel lucky to have found. Thanks Unilocal… sometimes the reviews are spot on and this one was! Thank you Eddie :)

Service is great product never fails, You can tell every meat and produce is hand selected and prepared with great knowledge and skill. Love this place!!!

Been coming to Danny’s for a few months. I will never buy meat in a regular supermarket again, I am forever spoiled by the quality and customer service here.
What I get: fresh ground beef and tender perfect filet.
Why I come back: I have never had anything less than high quality meat and I can taste the difference in everything I’ve made with it vs. the crap I used to buy at the supermarket.
Convenience: Yeah, it’s another stop from where I’m buying my other groceries. But I can call them up, speak to a lovely person on the phone, tell them what I want, how much of it I want, and have it ready for me at the time I specify.
Parking: Yes, because of Salsa and Beer, the parking situation is a living nightmare that you will relive again and again in sleeping and waking terrors. But you can usually find something, even if you have to double park in front of the banquet hall. Phone in your order ahead of time for a quick, easy, in and out experience.
Oh, they don’t sell bacon. Someone is apparently really mad about that. I’ll never understand that – it’s not like it’s called Danny’s Bacon Mart. They didn’t promise bacon and they don’t have it. That’s… fine. They have many different delicious varieties of meat and I am looking forward to trying more in the future!

Love the filet Kebob meat, so tender and perfectly marinated. I also get the white chicken Kebob meat from here, it’s marinated in some orange yogurt sauce and spices, I don’t know what it is that they use but it’s amazing!!!
Prices are very fair as well.

My friend brought filet kabobs up to mammoth. They were a hit! Super tender, extremely yummy, and super fresh. Im hooked!

Our neighbor recommended Danny’s and I am grateful he did! I purchased 2 beautiful filet roasts and fresh ground beef! I used the ground beef for a bolognese sauce that was excellent! The crème de la crème however was the filet that I salt crusted and roasted, absolutely superb! I’m saving the other one for New Years eve!
Needless to say, I won’t be shopping anywhere else for meat! Personable service, best quality and unbelievable prices too!

I’ve been coming here for maybe half a year now, and have been going more often lately. They have the best quality ribeye I’ve ever had! Lots of times the marbling is jawdropping but even when it isn’t the taste is still incredibly worth it every time! I just grill them on charcoal with kosher salt, fresh cracked pepper, rosemary/​thyme but this time the butcher suggested I try the marinade, and I’m anxious to throw these steaks on the grill! Really great guys here. The quality of the meat speaks for itself.

Very good quality meats and veggies. They marinate and season their meats as well. Try the rack of lamb, filet, and chicken. They get busy so call ahead and they will have your order ready when you get there.

A butcher shop without any bacon. Hmmm. Makes you wonder.
This place is a far cry from the butcher shop you’re probably imagining. It’s only two cold cases, at the back of an overpriced veggie market
But it’s probably good in a pinch. Unless of course you want bacon.

My go to spot in the valley for grill ready and marinated meat. The filet mignon is excellent. Small place but great with meat and very consistent.

I always get the beef fillet, chicken, and lamb meat from here. They have some of the freshest, best marinated, well seasoned meats available. They’re beef filet in particular is delicious and my personal favorite.

i really dont know what to write only because there are not enough stars for them!!! this is the best meat store period! nothing else comes close or compares to them.
been a fan of theirs for the past 3 to 4 yrs and have never ever had an issue with their meat. it is always fresh and gourmet. you pay for what you get and i would not have it any other way.
i especially order «jackies roast» which is a particular kind of cut that eddie will cut for me.

Just want to say. You want quality meat please go and give them a try… Their service is so great. You can tell it’s run by a family who truly cares about their clients and their business. So much attention is given to make sure you are getting what you need. QUALITY MEAT… THAT’S ALL WE ASK FOR. AND HERE IS WHERE YOU KNOW YOUR GETTING IT.

When planning an extravagant dinner for New Years Eve, I decided to make a whole beef tenderloin. I figured I would be better off finding a butcher than going to a grocery store, and I do not regret it! This place is great, the quality of the meat for the price cannot be beat. It was delicious, and much cheaper than I expected.
This place has a «homey» feel, Gary, I believe it was, introduced himself to us after trimming the tenderloin, and said he would be seeing us again — yes you will!!! If you’re looking for a quality butcher in the area, look no further.
