Chase Bank

We have been long time Chase customers and are usually very happy. The service at this location is severely lacking. We came in to open a second savings account and had a few questions, the banker helping us just kept repeating herself when we would ask questions and talked to us like we were stupid. I don’t need you to repeat yourself and speak louder, I need you to answer my follow up questions with accurate information.
Won’t be visiting this location again.

Not the greatest area. Parking is in competition with market next door.
I just came to use the atm, which is located inside the entry way to the bank itself. There was a homeless man sitting right at the front door with his young child sitting in a suitcase begging for money. Smh.
Seems security would be a little stricter so customers didn’t feel they needed to watch their backs while withdrawing money.
Did not go inside the actual bank. But next time I’ll choose a different location to take money out of my account.

CHASE Bank. 7108 Sepulveda Blvd, Van Nuys, CA. April 1^st, 2016. And yet AGAIN, ANOTHER piss-​poor service event at THIS BRANCH. My wife depositing 9 residual checks. ALL in my name. The ATM takes 7 of them, kicks back the remaining 3, which my wife now has to bring INSIDE to the rocket scientists they refer to as ‘tellers.’ What’s today’s issue? This brain surgeon CANNOT deposit MY OWN CHECKS in my own account because I, PERSONALLY, am not standing there. This account is in BOTH our names. The checks are made out to ME. I SIGNED them. But the tellers at this branch… the apparent «standard procedure» at this branch… is to keep the line, and the depositor, waiting even though the account info is RIGHT THERE ON THE COMPUTER SCREEN, while she… in some ethereal, mystical fashion… has to determine that the name ON THE ACCOUNT (mine)…which is DISPLAYED ON HER COMPUTER SCREEN… matches the NAME ON THE CHECKS (mine)…which matches the SIGNATURE ON THE CHECKS (mine). GROSS overkill. How long does it TAKE… having ALL the data MATCH perfectly… with NO discrepancies whatsoever… how long does it TAKE to just deposit the G*damn checks into my own account!!!

I hate to say it, because overall I’ve enjoyed banking with chase, but nearly every experience I’ve had at this location has been miserable.
The day I went to open my account I waited for around an hour to see a banker. Even though the room is full of cubicles for bankers there is usually only one or two working. Every time I’ve been back since, the waiting area for people waiting to see a banker is always packed.
I do like the larger atm’s inside! They’re accessible during business hours and can provide much larger amounts for withdrawal than the regular machines out front. The last time I went in though the large atm’s were only giving out 5’s and 1’s. Since I needed to take out nearly $ 1,000 that wasn’t gonna work for me. I had to get in line for a teller, which brings me to the single worst aspect of this location.
There is ONLY EVER two tellers. Every single time I have gone in there is a huge line. Anywhere from close to 10 – 20 people depending on the day. The transactions seem slow on top of it.
I will say, every employee I’ve interacted with has been friendly and helpful. It’s just a struggle to get to the point where you can even speak with anyone!

Norma is great! She’s very helpful and will go out of her way to help with anything. Best manager I’ve dealt with and very attentive with customer satisfaction! If I could I’d give her 10 stars!

I was at this location recently and immediately noticed how understaffed they were. However I waited in line and when I had the chance to speak with a teller, she spoke to me in a hostile and unwelcoming manner. This was the last time that I go to this branch. I noticed with other customers in front of me, received friendly treatment but when it was my turn, the clerk directed herself in an unfriendly tone that really made me feel un welcomed. Perhaps she acted on her prejudices or biases but this is very unprofessional, unethical, unacceptable and such people do not deserve to have such position if they lack such people skills. I do not recommend going to this branch. Poor service and lack of staff on times I’ve been there.

Zero stars if I could.
Partially for being drastically understaffed and wait times ridiculous, but mostly for the rudeness, and lack of common sense. If there’s a giant line of people, you shouldn’t go on your break, you underworked woman child.
I walked in to a giant line. I understand that the banks want to move to a 21 century modern computer like banking, but there is still customer service to be had. All the chairs in the front were taken up by people waiting to speak with bankers. There may have been 1 banker working the desks.
I have never seen a manager speak to human beings with such lack of concern or care for their job. This is a check, as long as they do the bare minimum of their menial day to day tasks, they could care less about actually helping.
It’s really sad to see this generation in charge of businesses. They have been desensitized of any sort of humility, reality, and most of all, humanity.
This location should really consider shutting down or firing all the staff and replacing them.

10 yrs banking with this company! Tried to get help on phone nothing!
Only 1 teller and 1 banker there is a waiting list the young lady at door told me to try another Chase! Awesome!

I used to love to bank here. They replaced the tellers with spiffy little atms. Lines are longer. Really bad move Chase.

Alex Chacon was great and got us setup in my new business account quickly and was really friendly.
He answered all of my questions patiently and was knowledgeable about our type of llc.

I really like this location. At first I didn’t want to come here because its in such a busy location. The tellers her are really nice and they have you in and out of there quickly.

avoid this branch! they have the worst management ever! There not friendly, they need to get nice ppl to work there.

This is by far the WORST bank I’ve ever experienced in my life! The branch manager Natalie Kusonruksa is extremely rude, prejudice, unprofessional, and obnoxious! My husband has went in that branch for weeks and this time she said his I. d was expired and it CLEARLY stated it wasn’t and she refused to cash his check. Corporate has been contacted! Head to another branch it’s worth it!

Great Bank. Very friendly. They always greet me by name. Have gotten a couple of services for free from them. …Annnd they let me use the employee restroom when I locked my keys in the car one time.

I swear, This branch has the friendliest tellers. Been Coming here for over a year now, and I’ve never had a bad experience. (Unlike the one just down the street who wouldn’t take a deposit just because there’s no «space» in between the company name. Ugh!!) Took it here the next day, and not even a bat of an eyelash.
Anyways.
They open early
Place is impeccably clean
There’s free coffee and water (I don’t know what the coffee is like tho’)
The employees here are ALWAYS friendly and ALWAYS smiling.
How can I not trust them with my money. Just watch out for the Chia pet that grows her hair freakishly fast. :p

This place is open on Saturday!!! Wow. It’s fast. People knew what they were doing and I left with a smile. Can’t do it much better than that.

ATMs, lots of tellers, lots of bankers. They’re more about volume; not a lot of customer interaction and/​or recognition. But it’s a national bank, not much of a community bank. But a Chase is a Chase. Get in, get out, go on with life.
