REAL REVIEW… FROM SOMEONE WHO ACTUALLY BOUGHT A CAR HERE, LOL…
So here’s the rub on this place– All these AMAZING reviews are from family and friends. It took me a while to figure it out, but now I see a real trend. Have you noticed all the awesome, 5-​star reviews? From people with 1 or 2 reviews? And 2 Unilocal friends? Did you notice that there’s a perfect photo of the car they «bought» with the review? Same camera? SAME BACKGROUND? ROFL… Nice job.
Check a few out– You’ll see, as before, that most of these «reviewers» are FRIENDS WITH EACH OTHER! With brand new accounts. Yeah, exactly. That should tell you something right off the bat about the level of integrity here. These guys are the epitome of the typical low-​class, SF Valley, vaguely ethnic junker lot. Think of the Kurt Russell movie «Used Cars», but run by Boris Badinov. Moose and squirrel must die… Check.
So here’s a REAL Unilocaler, writing again about an actual purchase– A wholly miserable experience at this circus of bad value. An ill-​advised purchase, that, in the end, cost me THOUSANDS in repairs. Beware, beware, beware. I have nothing to gain from these crooks, since I’ve long since sold the piece of crap Mercedes that they sold me… But I wanted to make it clear to the potential shopper that this is a BAD car lot. Even as used car lots go. The heap they sold me? I ended up at Mercedes Benz of San Diego, where they showed me, in detail, how the whole right side of the car was fixed and repainted, and concealed. ENTIRE RIGHT SIDE. Bondo. This junker also needed 2 engine mounts ($ 1200), the transmission mount ($ 500) and the brakes ($ 2000) the week after I bought the car. And 4 months later? ABS /​Electric Brake Module. $ 1500. Yeah, exactly. I was thankfully able to punt the car to the lovely people at CarMax, but I still have to ask this one question. Who in the heck sells a car like that, with a clear conscience? Oh… I know. CALI MOTORS!
Check out Armen’s hilarious remark below… He states that «I knew about the paint». Tell you what, Professor– How about you post a signed condition statement, that shows you disclosed massive body and paint work. You can’t. Because YOU LIED… You never told me that the whole side of the car was bondo-​ed and repainted. Check out the condition statement I uploaded as a photo. Clean– No accidents! The scary thing was that the CarFax and AutoCheck paperwork were fine on this MB, obviously a non-​reported accident. Shady! Not a recommended dealer; REAL integrity problems here, and in a nasty neighborhood too. RUN from this ghetto iron lot!

I own a classic 1984 Toyota Tercel I drove 500 miles down to the L.A. area back in December 2014. Unfortunately, it’s falling apart bit by bit and was looking around for something better last week while on a merchandising job. Preferably a van or larger SUV that I can use. Sadly, quotes from certain dealers were very low and private sellers were a little better but I needed (and still need) something before the car’s transmission gives out. Calimotors was like other places except I was given a great treatment to peruse the vehicles there and to take my time. If I had questions, I could ask Armen, Anton, or Eugene. And I had a lot of questions on several possibilities.
Although I was treated fairly and with respect, while taking a break from merchandising work nearby last week, would I go back to make a deal? Honestly, I’m not sure, but next week I’m heading back to Van Nuys for a focus group and I still have the business card I was given… and my old car won’t last another year…
I think it’s time for a change in 2016. Calimotors may be getting a new customer. Stay tuned.

Being a woman in search of a car is no walk in the park — men jerk you around a lot, am I right ladies? But not here. The manager, Eugene, is like the greatest person ever. He treated us not only with respect but like family. I was so impressed!
I will be back for sure — I love this place!

This has been my best experience yet for purchasing a car. All of the staff were friendly and not too pushy and desperate like most car salesman I’ve come in contact with in the past. The wide selection of cars and good prices is what caught my attention.
After they let me test drive 3 different cars (yes 3!) and I made my decision, processing the paperwork and making my payment didn’t take too long at all. I expected this to be an all day process which is why I showed up right at 10am when they opened. But I was driving in my new car before lunch was finished! I would definitely recommend calimotors to my friends and fam.

Very good selection and I also liked their approach to clients. I was pleased to see that all the managers and car dealers are working hard for every single customer. I am going to buy a car from them only. I’ve spoke to a lot of different car dealers but Calimotors really got my attention and also prices are fair and cars are in very good condition. Right now I am trying to choose between three cars and my car dealer is being really helpful in this dilemma. I will tell about my experience of actually buying a car from them as soon as I purchase one! But so far Calimotors is the best option for me!

After searching for a car and the right place in LA and Valley my brother and I found Calimotors Dealer. We looked at prices online and one thing that really caught our attention is their internet prices don’t have all the incentives discounts, incentive discounts you might not even qualify. It’s just their asking price. The price for the car we liked was fair so we went to check it out.
We went on a Saturday. We were able to walk around before an actual salesperson came out and I loved that. Once we looked around Eugene came out and he greeted us. From his first approach I had a really good feeling about everything.
We told him what car we were looking for, he brought it out for us to look at it. He was very knowledgeable about the car and the specs, which was awesome.
Paperwork process took 20 minutes or even less. Just all in all a good dealership! Ask Eugene if you go there, he’s the man!

I finally bought my first hybrid car here at Calimotors. It’s a 2010 Toyota Prius but well maintained and clean. Runs great and quiet. The only downside is that you have to put gas in it. I’m driving at 70 mph in the freeway right now while I write this review. And I hope its not my last. The staff here is great and friendly and helpful. Prices are reasonable and within market value. Eugene’s the man. He helped me obtain financing in affordable terms. They still have some Priuses left. Grab them while you still can.

50% what they say — lie, they are friendly till you want to buy a car, but actually they don’t know anything about cars that they sell, you must to check everything before buying.
I have trusted them and now I must pay about 1k to fix major problems, because I can’t drive although they have promised me 2 years driving without any hassles.

I bought 2007 Toyota Prius from this guys and couldn’t express how well the car has been treated and how clean it was! All fluids (including oil) have been changed and it literally runs like new. Paperwork process doesn’t take long (especially if you discuss all the details beforehand) and the registration arrived within the first week since the day of purchase. Good job, guys! Armen, Anton and Eugene is a great team.

I normally don’t do these reviews, but Chris H is right!!! Don’t buy a car from Calimotors. The are lying crooks. Said the car (2009 Mini): 1. didn’t leak; 2. wasn’t a «Fleet» car; 3. was a California car; and 4. wasn’t in any accidents. They even showed a car fax report. WHAT A JOKE. Got the car home (4 miles), the head gasket was leaking, check engine light came on (fuel system is shot); headlight almost fell out (they forgot to tighten down the nuts) and the spare tire was missing (even though it was shown in the advertisement pictures); car was purchased by CaliMotors at an auto auction and was previously a fleet car back on the East Coast. car had been in an accident (hood and front end has been repainted BADLY and hood doesn’t line up (paint drip marks underneath the hood). «CaliMotors Collision Repair, Inc.» (yes, actual corporation name), fixed it (without reporting it to car fax). I went back to return the car, but they were ALL «at lunch» at the same time. (More than likely, they ran away when they saw me drive in). I wrote them a letter in which they responded by saying YOU SHOULD HAVE HAD THE CAR CHECKED OUT BY A MECHANIC. It is going to cost about $ 5000.00 to fix everything that the lied about. I am filing a law suit for FRAUD. Do yourself a favor DON’T BUY a car from these CROOKS, you will be sorry.

So, this was my first time purchasing a car and I had no idea what I was doing. I did a little bit of searching around in my area for reliable car dealers but I kept getting mixed reviews. Finally I decided to stop in at Calimotors, and I am very happy that I made that decision.
The staff there at Calimotors are great, they were very patient and helped answer any questions that I had. (I had a lot since I had never purchased a car before.) They let me take it for a test drive and made sure that I was comfortable while driving. They made the purchasing process very fast and easy. It was simple and there was no pressure. I felt very comfortable looking at their selection of cars, and throughout the entire process.
The car has been running smoothly and I haven’t had any problems since purchasing. I will gladly come back to Calimotors when I am ready to purchase my second car! Thanks Calimotors!

What else can I say, Calimotors is AWESOME!
They helped us get a pre-​owned VW Passat, they were not pushy, presented our options and availability. Price is the car made absolute sense (it was lower than KBB retail value). Carfax was also provided for free.
Guys at the dealership were very clear on what is available as far as warranty and broke down all the numbers for us. Eugene took care of all the paperwork and the phone call to the insurance company. We got our policy on the spot!
We couldn’t believe we got out of there in 2 hours with our new VW Passat. Buying a vehicle though them as easy as 1 2 3.

I was looking for the used car and I decided to get an Audi A4. I got the 2009 year model from this dealer and I have no regrets. I would say I’m very glad.
First of all the car was so clean, even though it’s a used car, the condition was like new. It was in perfect shape both mechanical and interior/​exterior. I’m very glad again.
Before coming to the dealership I called several dealers and Calimotors was on the top with their service provided on the phone. I got answers to all questions I had. When I got to their place, they showed me the vehicle as well as they provided me with all detailed records of the car history and after I test-​drove it I felt I want to get this car and I got it. Since i paid cash the paperwork took less than 20 minutes. Pretty fast for buying a car!
Now it’s been a month I’m driving my Audi and I’m really happy with my car. Thanks to Calimotors team for excellent car and great customer service
