The first Birrieria Lupita to have ever been opened was approximately 20+ years. With its success, a second restaurant, Birrieria Lupita #2, was open June 06, 2008. Both restaurants are family owned and have been operating every day since then.

I went for the birria, after I went and seen the menu I could not pass on the Chilaqueles with over easy eggs and flank steak. They meal was just right. The Chilaqueles were not soggy not to spicy. The steak beans and eggs made a perfect marriage.

My first visit here, I came in with family and saw everything clean. Service was great and nothing went wrong with our orders. However, I came to write about the carne asada. The carne asada from here is VERY chewy. I took about 3 minutes (I timed myself after i realized how chewy it was.) per piece of beef I ate from it. This was because the beef was very overcooked (some parts charred) and it had many elastic fibers in it. I usually eat carne asada at hispanic restaurants, and I believe this beef should have been prepared medium-​well along with less elasticity.

Riciiisssiiimmaaaa la comida! Stumbled out of upon this place by chance and gave it a try because I was hungry. Man am I glad I did. Service is super friendly. Ordered a burrito to go, made tons of modifications on it, they are reasonable with their price and charge me for not having meat, and all that with a smile. When I got home and tried the food, the first bite… on my gosh I was in heaven ha ha, seriously, best burrito ever, and so big that I can finish it tomorrow :-)

First of all, I’m married to a Mexican — born and raised — so when we go to a Mexican restaurant, the bar is already pretty high (Hey Ernie’s in Toluca Lake — hang it up already).
Lupita’s salsa — wow. Just the right amount of spicy! Not too much to give me hiccups, not to little to make it seem like Pace. It was the first sign we knew we’d love this place.
Best handmade tortillas we’ve had in a while.
Birria could’ve been better. It was too fatty and dry. But the consume was good.
Chile relleno was nothing to write on Unilocal about but it was adequate.
Chorizo tacos were good but again, we’ve had better.
Service was great, employees are friendly. We’ll be back to try some more. I’m curious to try their chilaquiles for breakfast!

Love the food i got the birra with rice and beans very delicious and the tortillas are hand made which are awesome too my bf got the camarones al mojo de ajo very good also we were definitely satisfied. The restaurant is like a hole in the wall but very clean, service was also great. Definately coming back!

Just got back from having lunch with the coworkers at this place.
They have a pretty large selection of Authentic Mexican food. «A» on the window. Not too much to see from the outside, nice n clean inside. Walk up and order type of place. We ordered, Chicharron plate, Birria Plate, Menudo and Pozole. All for of us were not dissapointed! Prices are about $ 10/​person with drink. Best restaurant-​bought pozole I’ve had in quite a while. Tortillas are hand made, waitress came by a few times to make sure we were doing good. Recommended =)
Ohh, just make sure to order ahead if your’re on a time constraint because it does take a bit.

The food is delicious! The place is pretty clean and since I’m a bit of a clean-​a-​phob this place is pretty decent and I don’t have to worry so much of washing my hands before I leave. The customer service is great! And I have to confess the waiter is pretty hot ;D lol. I really like the burritos there. It actually looks like they took their time in making it. Another «bueno, bonito, y barato»

My roomie and I go here because it’s convenient, and the food has never disappointed us. Service is fine, but these folks need to learn something about atmosphere (a loud door annunciator should be in the back, and the lighting is garish). Prices are nominal.
