I am updating this rating due to the decline in quality. Unfortunately this location now seems to be another stingy store. Last night we ordered a large order to go. When we got the order home it was so bad I wanted to take it back. All the portions were a joke not to mention the order was incorrect. I only leave two stars because one employee who works there is really nice. Beware you may want to find a better location. If something else comes of this I will update my review.

Typical Ice cream joint. Visited since Wife had a craving. The ice cream was fresh but I think they skimped us on the scoop. The scoop was a lot smaller than I expect for a 3 dollar ice cream. I would tell the management to also take a look at service. They guys behind the counter were not attentive.

I’ve grown up to this Ice cream parlor and they have never failed to put a smile on my face. They recently created such an amazing cake for my 21st birthday. It was absolutely beautiful and delicious!

extra star because ice cream and this place has been here since I was a kid. you could always depend on it being there on those hot ass days in the valley or if you didn’t want any of that new froyo/shaved ice/snow stuff that pop up and disappear so quickly. its testament to the fact that ice cream will never die lol

Classic old school Ice Cream. All the flavors you need are here. What’s wrong with Ice Cream-Nothing. With Global Warming, this will be everyone’s Go To. I’m not a scientist but I believe in Mint Chip.

I’ve been coming to this Baskin Robins since I was a child. It’s a great location the parking lot is big & spacious. The employees are always nice. There’s a lot of ice cream flavors to choose from and their chocolate sundaes are the best. Their milk shakes are pretty yummy too!

this place was filthy! i mean damn it was dirty. The ice cream was whatevers. I had the red velvet and it tasted like mild red bean. not very sweet which was a plus. Considering the lack of options in this area for ice cream/desserts(and i do not want to drive down to ventura bl), it was br or mcdonalds $ 1.00 cone. Needless to say McD’s 100 penny cone tastes much more artificially lab-based food flavor than BR’s articially lab based, machine made«hand» crafted ice cream.

Just witnessed the girl scooping the ice cream cut herself. blood goes into the OREO and Chocolate ice cream bins, and she tries to wipe it off with a dirty rag in the ice cream. i informed them that its now contaminated and they refused to remove it. next people that go in there are in for a surprise they are unaware of. Serious heath hazard!!! don’t order the OREO or Chocolate ice cream, you will get a special treat of that girls Blood.

The owner was extremely aggressive toward me, a customer, because I parked in a spot next to the shop(which is in a mini-mall with several other businesses and no clearly designated parking zones). He actually parked his car behind mine to block me from leaving while saying a tow truck was on the way and that I had parked there for«five hours». Mind you, there were several other empty spots in front of the store. I was terrified by his behavior and have never encountered this in any other business.

Dumb, shortsighted owner – recommend avoiding! There aren’t too many places I would go well out of my way to avoid, but this is one. I hope you will too. I came in one night with my wife and daughter. I had a coupon for a sundae. The value of the coupon was something like 50 cents. The employees made the ice cream and then when I presented the coupon said that it was not valid. It was for another nearby location. I pointed out that the point of coupons was to bring in business, which had worked and the store was certainly not going to lose money on the sale. We had ordered ice cream for each of us. They said the owner was very strict. I further pointed out that since they had already made all our ice cream they would lose far more than 50 cents by refusing the coupon. They were nice and polite, but they refused. The next morning I went and asked to see the owner. I spoke to him, explained what happened and showed him the coupon. I pointed out all the same information and he still refused. He claimed that the nearby Baskin Robbins store’s price was higher for the sundae. This shocked me. No business owner in his right mind would refuse a 50 cent coupon when a calm, rational customer came in the next morning, yet he did. I wrote this in 2012 but never posted it. Here is my update: My wife insisted on ordering her cakes from here despite my boycott of the place. They have always been nothing but helpful, polite and nice. I have decided to call a truce because my wife made a last minute change or cancellation that they didn’t charger her for, so we’re more than even. I don’t even know if it’s the same owner anymore, but I just can’t get over how silly it was for the OWNER, not some random employee, to refuse a 50 cent coupon that the customer bothered to come in to request be honored the next day. The 1-star rating stands unless the owner ever decides to respond, but I think everyone should still take their business there if they wish. In every other respect it’s a well run business.

This baskin Robbins is my childhood ice cream shop, came here everyday as a child. Tonight my tia and I came in 10 min before closing. We were in there until closing. A little girl and her brother were standing outside and Karen one of the employees decided to let them in even tho they were closed. I thought that was the nicest thing ever! Great customer service girl! 5 stars to my childhood baskin Robbins!

The last time I was there I got the mango and strawberry smoothie and it was the bomb!!! I fell in love at that moment when I tasted it! I recommend everyone to go and get that delicious smoothie:))

Nothing wrong with this place but nothing spectacular. No rude treatment, reasonable time, reasonable prices but very few seats. There’s about four tables. The biggest table seats around four(unless if you steal seats, of course) and the other tables seat two. I come here once a while.

My wife, daughter & I went to this location yesterday after picking her up from school. First, I love BR ice cream. It is my favorite since childhood, Second, I have been to this location before a number of times because of the proximity to the school and the fact that it is becoming more difficult to find BR locations. The place was clean, the service friendly and the ice cream although a bit pricey was very good. I then looked up the reviews and was completely offended by the other reviewer calling this place«Ghetto» and comparing the experience like going to «Little Mexico.» This a a good BR location in Van Nuys. Duh, there might be some Latinos there like me in VANNUYS. I was actually the only Latino on this particular visit in the store. I think«Samantha T.» should re-evaluate her racist comments that offend Latinos. I would go back to this BR location anytime. There was a mixture of people just like all of Los Angeles. That is what makes LA so great and diverse!

There really isn’t much to say. I was in and out of there in about 2 mins. I picked up some Ice Cream cake and there were no other customers. There were 3 employees at the time. It seemed like a clean location.

GHETTO! Let’s start off with location. If I wanted to be in Little Mexico I’d drive to San Diego. This place is so ghetto. The location is not exactly desirable. Now onto the ice cream. We ordered two separate flavors and both were melted. I know it was a hot day but your ice cream should be by definition COLD at least. I’ll go to any other spot but this one.
