AMBUSH Process Service

After paying for two service fees, I traveled out of state for a court case only to have the judge dismiss the case because the defendant was not properly served. Now I have to start from scratch and pay all court fees again. Asked for a refund and received a sarcastic/​rude response. Not professional. Not recommended.

I am amazed! We live behind guarded gates and our neighbor had no reason to open their door. I truly thought serving them for our small claims case was going to be impossible. I do not know how Scott was able to serve, but true to all the other reviews, with in 72hrs it was done. I sent him the papers via email and paid via paypal, I offered to give him the copies I had made at the court, he only needed the email and payment. 48 hours later I get an email stating both neighbors had been served, that my proof of service was in my mail and a copy was sent to the court, instructions on how to confirm that the court receives it, etc. Very impressed. The reason we didn’t go with the court sheriff is that they where 2 – 3 weeks behind and I didn’t want to chance it, especially after reading reviews about them loosing papers, etc. I am glad I chose Ambush! Will highly recommend their service to anyone needing to serve papers.

I needed to complete a process of service and went to Unilocal to get it done. I chose Ambush and it was completed in short order, with a receipt in the mail to me complete with instructions on how to follow up with the court. Thanks Ambush!

Based on the Unilocal reviews, I trusted Scott by trying my best not to bug him over the phone/​email. It was my first time using a process service so I didn’t know the timetable of the whole process. Scott handled everything in a timely manner and is definitely worth the cost. Hopefully I won’t have to use his services again but if I do, I’m not going to hesitate to use AMBUSH Process Service again.

Just wanted to leave a stellar review for Scott & his company Ambush Process services. I had to use the sheriff to serve court papers and had no luck… The sheriff told me to use a private process server and Scott had a lot of good reviews… He was very efficient and I could recommend to me more

I called a another company and was told it was $ 85 and they would make one attempt. I called Scott and he said it was $ 65 and they would make 4 attempts. Two days later the job was done. Dont waste your time using anyone else.

DON’T USE ANYONE ELSE! Scott is the man. After I tried another process server (who was rated pretty high on Unilocal) was unsuccessful, I called Scott at Ambush. It was served THE NEXT DAY!!! The person wasn’t even living at the residence I believe he was. Scott was able to track him down and DONE DEAL. I highly recommend Scott to any and all. THANKS SCOTT — WELL DONE!

Scott did the job efficiently and did not give up on his first try at the first address. He waited patiently in the lobby of the defendant’s work location and got the job DONE.
I would recommend him to anyone. He is good! And reasonable. And offered advice besides all of that.

I tried using USPS and then the Sheriff’s Office. Both failed. The Judge (Small Claims) said he would accept Substitute Service (but not publication in a legal journal). I called Scott on a Sunday and he talked with me about the specifics of my case as it relates to Service. He was very upfront that because of circumstances he wasn’t sure if Service would be possible. I was very surprised that in less than a week he had successfully served the other party and sent the documentation to the Court. I highly recommend AMBUSH if you are unfortunate enough to need their services. I was sceptical about all the 5 star reviews, but they are deserved.

So after FOUR attempts, the sheriff was unable to serve someone so I decided to give Ambush a try. Within a DAY it was done. Everything was filed properly with the court, and never once did I even have to speak to anyone! I really hate unnecessary phone calls, and I was able to send a couple of quick emails and check this part of a really annoying task off of my list. Thank you Ambush!

first, let me begin by providing a little context. i had hired another los angeles p. s. firm AND the los angeles sheriff’s department to serve a gentleman in canoga park, and neither of them claimed they could find this man. so, needless to say, i found scott and «ambush» after my court date had been set back twice.
so, having said all of that — i cannot say enough about how pleased i am with scott and his «ambush» service. from the very beginning, he was professional and pleasant and very easy to communicate with. during our first conversation, it became clear to me that he was a man who knew his business. and sure enough, only two days after i hired him, he successfully performed the process service on my defendant. a defendant who, by the way, TWO other firms had failed to locate. so, i am beyond impressed with scott and «ambush», and i will very happily hire him again anytime i ever need to serve someone in the los angeles area. his rate is very reasonable, he is extremely professional and courteous, and he very promptly notified me about the successful service.
i wish i would have hired him from the beginning, because i could have spared myself A LOT of headache and frustration. so, to anyone reading this — do yourself a huge favor and hire «ambush» for your process service needs. you will definitely be grateful that you did!

My story is short… why? Because from START to FINISH it only took ONE DAY! I loved the name Ambush, called the number on a Sunday, Scott answered the phone, told me how to get the stuff to him to be served in Burbank (I live in AZ).
The NEXT day he texted me that the parties had be served at 1:04pm!
TWO days later I get a proof of service in the mail!

Ambush worked very hard for what we paid them for today’s service. Scott told me it took 3 attempts and he didn’t charge me for anything but the flat fee.

it’s stressful for anybody to go through a litigation, although serving the papers can be problem if not done correctly i hired Scott to serve the summons to a girl who hit my car that was being really evasive after she changed her story to the insurance which resulted me taking her to small claims. I gave scott all the information I could provide to him and he served her in a week which I think was fast because of the special circumstances. Best process server in the S.F.V «thanks Scott»
P.s i got my judgment

Having to litigate is unpleasant enough, but having to make sure you serve the defendant properly can be even more nerve wracking. I’m glad I decided to look up process servers on Unilocal and found one that was near to me and the defendant. There’s a reason why AMBUSH is as highly rated as they are.
Pro’s:
Scott is prompt when returning calls and his demeanor on the phone is professional. He clearly explained what I needed to send/​bring to him and payment options and laid out what to expect.
Con’s:
Due to the one star review by ‘Mister P’ I got leery when Scott didn’t immediately respond and acknowledged that he received my email with the summons to appear in court. I sent the email on a Thursday morning and when I didn’t hear back at all that weekend I called him on Monday morning. It turns out Scott served the defendant on Saturday. I received a proof of service in the mail immediately afterwards with a letter explaining that a copy was also sent to the court.
Conclusion:
I hope to never have to file another small claims court lawsuit but if I have to serve another person I know who I’ll check with first.
