About Us

The Greek Pie Factory is a family run business with over 20 years of culinary experience. Valley Stream has long been a host for international inspired culinary options. Using recipes dating back to ancient times, which have developed over the years. The filo pies are traditional favorites in the mountainous regions of Europe. Our goal is to produce our signature «savory and sweet pies». The pies are made in Valley Stream and can be distributed frozen to high quality stores or offered freshly baked in our establishment. All our products have no artificial ingredients which gives our customers the highest quality food possible.

The savory pies are delicious– light, flaky, soft with just enough crisp. I usually get spinach & feta which is their best IMO. A warm pie with a Greek salad is just the perfect lunch.
Other things I’ve tried — the chicken soup which has rice, carrots, celery and soft pieces of chicken. Very fulfilling on a chilly day. If you order soup or salad it comes with either pita or the long bread they make fresh which is seriously the best bread I’ve had.
Lemon chicken platter comes with two pieces of chicken or boneless cubes if you ask with a little salad and lemon potatoes which I love. They also make small personal pizzas, about 4 slices, I’ve tried the plain cheese and the buttery fluffy golden crust makes it my favorite.
Everything is homemade and fresh and the owners are an old couple that are really sweet.

Dropped by yesterday after a hard day of acupuncture and related therapies. Too weak to make dinner I stopped by. I have been wanting to support this business since they opened 8 months ago. Just a few blocks from where I live is this hidden gem of a place. Mimmi (hopefully I spelled that correctly) was just as welcoming as she could be. We chatted long after my order was ready. The pies are so fresh and flaky. The cookies not too sweet but full of delicious flavor. The salad was so fresh and yummy. Love this place and you should too. Let’s support local businesses especially when they put so much love and expertise into their dishes! Great place.

many diners offer spinach pie in their menus (called also «spanakopita», «burek» and «banitsa» across the Balkans) but here it was crafty prepared, fresh and tasty! it is evident that that the bakery has been run for many years as these pastries require certain skills to prepare the right way. they are quite healthy too considering the ingredients in spinach and feta cheese — calcium and iron.

Love this place. Every single pie they make is delicious. Had the spinach and feta pie today, as well as a dessert custard pie. They never disappoint. Pies are super flaky and perfectly cooked. The prices can’t be beat either, they could charge twice as much and I’d still pay

I stopped into this place after passing it a few times, as it is located across the street from my doctor. I got the avcolemono soup (greek chicken lemon soup) which was delicious and well needed for my cold! I also got two pies, one mushroom and one cheese. They were light and flakey and stuffed with savory goodness. For dessert I brought home baklava. It was the best baklava I ever had. It was not thick and heavy but light, flakey and just the right amount of sweet. The owner was super friendly and I can not wait to come back and make others try this delicious gem. Cash only.

Valley stream has been waiting for this place. Their baklava is outrageous. So tasty and sweet without being clawing to your taste buds. The owners are so sweet. We will be back to check out every inch of the menu this winter. So glad to have them so close.
