Best meat balls that you’ve ever tasted HINT: Get the M.B. parm Hero… Chixx parm is delish, Nummy Chicken Marsalla, I like the«Marinara» sauce. I like the spaghetti w/garlic and olive oil. Nice sized portions, you won’t go hungry. I «Pick up» because, I no longer live in Valley Stream :(I’ve been coming back to «DaVinci’s» for years, it’s a «TASTEOFHOME», and worth the 20 minute trip. I bought my own insulated pizza box for the trip home(about $ 14 on Amazon). If you like to eat a lot of pizza and I-talian food(like I do), it’s worth the investment for«HOT» food.

First off, even though I have given this pizza parlour a rating, on a scale of 1 – 10, a 3, my review is based more on customer service. On a really cold late night this past January,(wind chill made it feel like zero degrees), not wanting to go to far for food, I called Da Vinci’s and placed an order. I asked how long it would take to complete the order, and was told 10 minutes. I said that was fine, but because I was not exactly dressed warmly for the weather, I told him that I would be waiting in my car until the order was ready. He hung up. 10 minutes later I called to ask if I could pick up my order. The person on the other end yelled at me saying«what is it, you think you’re too good to come inside and pick up your order? Where are you… oh, I see. Is that you parked in the front in the Lexus? I see you… oh, I understand now… Miss Big Shot!». With that he proceeded to hang up the phone. I was shocked. I kid you not… that was the exact conversation. When I went in to pick up my order there were two guys present. I told them who I was and asked who I spoke to on the phone. The second person who I later found out was the owner said«it was me. You spoke to me on the phone». I looked at him quizzically and asked«are you ok? You seem a little rattled». He snarled at me seeming exasperated and said«I’m fine, your order will be ready in a minute». He then said«everybody else can come in for their order but not you, Miss goody-too shoes». I really was pretty stunned, and probably should have walked out at that moment. Unfortunately I followed the foolishness. I said to him«I’m not sure what your problem is, but you really need to get over it. Your behavior right now is very uncalled for». He began to take my order out of the oven and started to place it in a bag. He then did something that was unbelievable. As he opened the bag, he then changed his mind mid-way and said«you know what… forget it. I’m not serving you, get out of my store». I stood stunned for a moment. I watched him as he threw the order in the garbage. «GETOUT!!!» He yelled loudly. A little afraid that he might be loosing his marbles at this point I headed to the door. He yelled again«GETOUT«. As I left I heard him mumble the«N-Word». Now listen. Fact. I’m 50+ years old, but have somehow managed to dodge ever having been called that word in my life. Here I was, at a little rinky-dink pizza shop on Merrick Road in Valley Stream, and being called the«N-Word» by some miserable low life, pizza man. Wow. Now, I know there may be some people that will doubt what I’ve stated, and that is ok. However, I know most reasonable people will think twice, as to why someone would take time to write this if it were not true. Believe me, it is true. I am a very busy person but have taken the time out to write this review because I think people should know the type of person that owns this establishment. How I was treated that cold night in January, was uncalled for and really not at all deserving of people patronizing his establishment… especially if they have other choices.

I used to love this place, so close to home and it’s pretty good pizza however one morning I walked in there a little after 10am and I saw the biggest roach ever in the glass box where they keep the beef patties and the pizza rolls!

Foods ok, order here alot, but will never order delivery again. I once ordered and the guy came to my door told me a different price than i was told on the phone. I saw him with two receipts in his hand, bottom one had my total on it, but he kept trying to hide it under one that was $ 3 more than what my total was… I had to call for the correct price. I dismissed this as a mistake but i had a bad feeling… Same thing happened next time… And the next… Delivery guys are always adding more to the bill. never again.

Haven’t been to this spot since high school and I don’t know what made me remember or look to see if they still exist. Hands down one of the better cheese slices in Valley Stream. They even put sesame seeds on the edge of their crust. So if your looking for a decent slice I recommend them.

I’ve been coming to this Pizzeria for the past 5+ years. Best pizza in the area and they even ask if you would like a sesame seed crust. Pasta dishes are also Delish! My favorite is the Penne ala Vodka with grilled chicken.

I have been coming here for a long time. The food here is very good. The staff is very friendly and the owner is hands on with operations as well as guest hospitality. Delivery is quick and correct, catering and large orders are well planned and always good to come in and eat.

If you want a real nyc thin slice pizza go here. This place has perfected the art of the thin slice. I get mine with extra cheese and if I’m adventurous I’ll throw in pepperoni.

The people that recommended this place to me do not live anywhere near it. so obviously i wondered why they would make the drive just for pizza. Well now that I have tried it for myself last week… Let me tell you… THISPIZZAISAMAZING. There is not a question in my mind as to why my friend would make a drive for this delicious pizza. The sesame seeds on the crust, the way it is cooked just to perfection… WOW. The service is just as wonderful as the food and I can’t wait to go back for dinner tomorrow night and try a specialty slice!

Today I drove 40 minutes out of my way to get a pie from Da Vinci’s…that should say enough. Truly one of my favorite pizzerias on the island. The calzones and heroes are good, but its a classic thin crust pizza that keeps me coming back. And like a few others have said, they’re still putting sesame seeds on the crust which is delicious. Don’t miss this one if you’re passing through the area.

I’ve come here several times omw home from work for a quick, late lunch. Two slices and a can of soda goes for $ 5. The pizza is nothing spectacular, but is sufficient for a quick cheap meal.

Awesome pizza with a sesame seed crust. Add some fresh garlic. Always a great experience when ordering food from Da Vinci’s. Try some pasta dishes.

Nice :) The baked ziti and garlic bread were delicious. I will definitely order from Da Vinci’s again. I didn’t give it 5 stars because I was annoyed that the delivery guy didn’t call me when he was outside as I had requested. He ended up pounding on the door and disturbing the people upstairs. Hopefully, next time he will call.

I’ve been ordering pizza here for years and I must say they have my absolute favorite pizza. I’ve tried pizza from a lot of places around LI and a few places in the city but the sesame-crusted pizza with fresh garlic on top is amazing. I definitely recommend anyone who visits to take home a pie.

Da Vinci’s has come a LOOONGGGG way. Tried it the other day for the first time in years and was blown away by how good it actually was. When I was a kid, a HUGE man owned the place and this was our pizzeria. Then he sold the store and the quality of the food went into the crapper. Gangs and large groups of hoodlums were always hanging out in and around the premises making it an undesirable place not only to get pizza, but even just to walk past, to be quite honest. My dad decided to grab a pie from there for shits and giggles the other day and was pleasantly surprised to find one of the old owners was back. The owner said he’s made efforts to clean up the place and fired the people responsible for the constant loitering. The pie was amazing. Sesame seed crust, oh how I’ve missed you…
