Specialties

We specialize in the Olympic Sport of Taekwondo for all ages. We offer much more than self-​defense. Our classes will develop life skills such as Discipline, Respect, Focus, Confidence, Practical street self defense, Fitness, Weight Control and much more. We have been in Vallejo for 30 years and we are equipped with over 12,000 sq. feet of the State of the Art Facility. Adult Ultimate Gym is currently under construction. Come visit the Home of two time Martial Art Hall of Fame inductee, Grandmaster William Kim!

Established in 1980.

Grandmaster William Kim started teaching in Vallejo, Ca in 1980 and have since helped thousands of students to lead a more constructive life through Taewkondo training.

Business Owner

Grandmaster William Kim started Taekwondo at the age of 6 in Korea. He has earned many titles in both forms and sparring, including AAU National Bantam weight Champion, Pan American Champion, Voted Instructor of Year many times and recently inducted into the Taekwondo Hall of Fame.

The instructors are great, their instruction topnotch. We enrolled our then 6 year old so he will learn the value of discipline and for him to learn self defense. He is now 7, joining and winning in tournaments, he has learned not just the value of discipline but goal-​setting and hard work to achieve his goals. We also enrolled our 4 year old to train him to follow directions. He is doing precisely that and so much more. Both our kids enjoy their time at WMK. They rarely miss class, they’ve met wonderful friends and they enjoy attending their classes. We would highly recommend this place.

My son started Taekwondo at the age of 4, this year @ the age of 8 he will be a Black Belt. We are so fortunate to have Hall of Famer Grand Master Kim’s William Kim Taekwondo Center in our Vallejo community. He brings along with his Master Instructors, so much knowledge and experience.

All of the instructors are amazing. They truly care about their students and are very patient with them and specially the smaller children. William Kim’s studio has brought our grandson Sean out of his shell and he loves going there. We love this place! From William Kim himself all the way down to the instructors and Mrs. Kim they make you feel welcome and part of their family.

I love this place! Not only is the instruction first class and the staff enthusiastic, but they do a great job of involving parents and creating a community atmosphere. And they work with kids of all ages.
And if you like competitions they are very active within the larger Tae Kwon Do community, even offering training trips to Korea.
I’ve been involved with martial arts for many years, and have yet to see a better school. More importantly, my kid (age 9) loves it!

Brought my 8 yr old here a year ago for a physical activity and to learn something new. We are really happy here — the instructors are adults — not teenagers or college kids — and they are terrific! The staff is wonderful — and the kids really enjoy themselves in class. My daughter is gaining a lot of self confidence and strength and she just loves going to their tournaments and winning medals and trophies (ok, everyone wins — but she still loves it!). Great place — check them out!
