Soaring Eagles Taekwondo Academy specializes in providing quality martial arts instruction and training, and to assist in the positive development of every student in three key areas: physical, mental, and spiritual. Physically, through consistent effort, exercise, and hard work. Mentally, by fostering mastery of self and belief in one’s potential; Spiritually, by faith in the Creator and in His Son Jesus Christ.
We are a family based martial art center with something for everyone here. Our classes ages start as young as 3 years old with our Little Eagles program. Next is our Beginner Children’s class ages 7 – 12. For adults we have Beginner Teen/Adult ages 13 and up and we also have our women’s cardio kickboxing class known as DefCon. Our motto here is «the family that kicks together, sticks together».
History
Established in 1995.
Master Wayne Jones (5th dan black belt) and his wife Master Adrienne Jones (4th dan black belt) started Soaring Eagles with the premise of teaching their daughters and their friends daughters self-defense. From those humble beginnings we have moved from GVRD to our own main school in Vallejo CA with a second school in Pinole CA. Master Jones and his wife have both been practicing Taekwondo for more than 20 years.

Business Owner
Master Jones has been studying taekwondo for more than 20 years. He started Soaring Eagles because he wanted to make sure his daughters knew how to defend themselves and he figured he would be the best teacher. He was right. Now his entire family is made of black belts and the school has grown from humble beginnings at Vallejo’s GVRD, to now having two locations one in Vallejo and one in Pinole. He is a retired Homeland Security Senior Agent in Charge and has background in Apkido and unarmed combat.
