Ken just left our home and I’m happy to say that he did a great job. We had controller issues with our automatic sprinklers in the front and back yards. It’s a fairly elaborate system and the previous homeowner said she was unable to get the front sprinklers to work and she said there were programming issues with the system in the back. Ken was on time and he was familiar with Hunter (the backyard system) and DIG (the front yard system). He got everything working and I was surprised that it was so reasonable. I was especially impressed that he took the time to show me what to do if I had problems in the future. Great job — great guy!

Ken repaired a leak, replaced and repaired a valve for me a few weeks ago. He is a busy guy and it makes sense because he is great at what he does. It took a couple weeks for him to come out but well worth the wait.

Top notch. Highly recommend. The irrigation system that came with my house was weird & didn’t work right. The panel was a pain to program & there were features I couldn’t get to work. After breaking a few spray heads, I found Ken on Unilocal.He was easy to schedule & communicate with using text. When he came by he initially tried to show me how to use my current panel, and gave me a good history of what type it was and where it came from. Then he found some of the areas that just didn’t work properly. He was able to install a new panel at a reasonable price which was easier to use and he replaced all of my broken heads, as well as do something completely off the book with regard to the sprinkler system. I had a hose that travels to a garden box which broke off. It was not actually connected to the sprinkler system but he still took care of it by fixing the hose and putting an ankle joint so I could thread a soaker hose and use the connection. Totally awesome and a great guy.

Very easy-​going guy that takes pride in his work and honors his commitments. Ken does sprinklers ONLY, no landscaping, but the sprinkler work he does, in my opinion, surpasses that of any landscaper. My front and backyard sprinkler systems had fallen into disrepair (numerous broken sprinkler heads, leaky irrigation hoses, a timer that wouldn’t work correctly) and the job was too big to do myself. I called Ken, he came to my home, and spent about an hour listening to exactly what I wanted done. He told me the work would take two full days, and he showed up on both days, worked from morning til night, and did all the work himself. He did the work about two months ago, and since then the sprinklers and timer work perfectly, and my lawns have come back to life. Ken is a true rarity these days: a lawn care professional that listens well, honors his commitments, and takes pride in his work. His five star rating is well-​deserved.

Great guy and very affordable service. I found Ken to be low key and easy going — no slick sales pitch with him. He just did the work that was needed and didn’t try to up sell. I felt he charged a really fair price for the work. Would definitely use him again.

Ken Smith did a fantastic job with my irrigation system. I inherited a system from the previous owner of my house, and my water bill was through the roof! Ken was able to quickly repair damaged or broken heads, find drip lines that were not properly placed, and «tune up» my system for a more efficient use of our water.
Ken is also very friendly, patient, and explains what he is doing. I wouldn’t hesitate to call on him again!

Great job, very inexpensive! Very prompt response via email and kept me in the loop with all of the info that I needed. Repaired the sprinkler without me even being home. Gave me plenty of information on maintenance and how to adjust. Highly recommend!

I called Ken after another fellow came over. looked briefly at my suddenly non-​functional sprinkler valve, and said he’d run new wires for $ 250. It just didn’t sound right. I emailed Ken, who responded almost immediately. He asked what brand of valve was malfunctioning (the first guy barely looked at it), its size and color. When he arrived, he was ready to go. Replaced the valve and upgraded another for the same amount of money. Plus, someone had cemented the faulty valve in place, and Ken had to dig it all out and replumb the main line. He started at 5 in the afternoon (arrived ON TIME) and finished at about 8 at night, and made sure everything was AOK before he left. So: straight shooting, knowledgable and worth every penny. Call him.

Ken Smith is a legit guy. He was quick to figure out the cause of the leak for one of my sprinkler valves and his quote was very reasonable to fix it! I would have to say that if you ever wanted to know anything about sprinklers or sprinkler systems, you would get a 10 – 15 minute dissertation as well as the advantages and disadvantages on all of them.
Seriously, one could see that he knows his sh#t and that he has a «passion» about his job. What ticks him off the most are contractors who incorrectly install irrigation systems. He will keep you aware about potential trouble spots for your system or will validate if your system is fine. He’s also very professional because he called me to let me know that he was running late for our appointment. How many independent service people do that? I would call him again if the situation arises.

After searching for someone to fix a major leak in my aging and amateurly installed irrigation system and hearing lots of horror stories, I was pretty leery. But Ken quickly diagnosed the problem, quoted a very fair price, and completed it when he said he would. He is very knowledgeable and was able to explain the mysteries of my irrigation system to me, which had been installed by the previous homeowner over 10 years ago — and not very well, either. He noted and solved several problems that I had not even been aware of. When the resulting vast improvement in water flow resulted in another failure down the line a week or so later, he found the problem (a too-​short pipe installed by the prior owner with the wrong fixative) and repaired it at a reasonable price. I worried that the entire yard would eventually have to be dug up to fix everything the prior owner had done wrong, but he explained the worst-​case scenario, which was not that bad, and predicted it wouldn’t happen. It hasn’t. And he answers his e-​mail!
