I had a problem with a big breaker (100 amp) feeding a subpanel on a Sunday morning. I called up Richard, and he sent his son Luke over to take a look. Luke was able to diagnose the issue quickly and get me back working within an hour.
Both Richard and Luke gave me a couple of options to get this issue resolved. They were very upfront about costs and such. I will be calling them again when I need anything done at my house.

It is extremely difficult to find a trustworthy electrician. Not only is Richard extremely trustworthy his work is second to none. We are remodeling a kitchen from the studs up. He helped us with best placement for the canned lights, put in a new sub panel, rewired the entire room. The wiring is impeccably clean. No sloppy work here. When the inspector saw it he was visibly surprised at the quality wiring. He had never seen anything like it. It is so clean. He signed off right away without further ado because he knew his work is high quality. I am grateful he did our electrical and would recommend him for any job big or small.

Richard is totally awesome. I called him with a number of electrical issues with the house I just moved into. Richard came right out and got them all resolved in an hour. Turned out to be issues I would never have diagnosed or fixed myself. Friendly, helpful. Told me what he was doing and why. Price was extremely reasonable considering how much he accomplished. And he even cleaned up after himself. Amazing. I highly recommend Richard for any electrical work you need done. Thanks, Richard!!!

Richard Craig has been our electrician for 8 and ½ years. He has helped us with numerous interior and exterior installations and projects here at our house and at my husband’s offices in San Rafael. Most recently he installed four ceiling fans in our house which required work with tall ladders and tricky spaces. He is creative, energetic, on time, persistent and has a fine eye. We have enjoyed working with him greatly. Everything always gets done exactly right. Also, a really great person. Thank you Rick.

Richard came to assess our issues. His pricing is more than fair. (Another guy in town, didn’t even come out… he said I know the houses in that area and it will need a box upgrade, and quoted us a pretty penny sight unseen). Richard gave us great advice. Our box was already upgraded in the 80’s but needed a bit more. He installed closet lights, kitchen lights and a fan and we still were way under budget. He is professional and brought an assistant who didn’t know who ABBA was, but we won’t blame him for being so young. I am looking to call him back for some security lights and other stuff. Nice to have this resource in VALLEJO!

Richard was very prompt in answering our phone call. In fact, out of six calls my mom made to electricians, Richard was the only one who answered (and not an answering machine, in which it’s two days later and none of them have called back yet). He came the next day and troubleshooted our electrical outlets in the house. My mom wanted to have some work done to the electrical outlets but he said that, although he could do it, it was not needed and even showed my mom the tests from all the outlets to give her a peace of mind. He found where the issue was and fixed it and now everything is good as new. Thanks for being so prompt in fixing the issue!

Richard installed an outdoor security light system for us here in Glen Cove. We were having some problems with the system because of defective units. Ric was great to work with and we are very happy with the finished work. He was prompt to our meeting to estimate the work. We communicated well through email and phone; Ric responded quickly. We were happy to take pictures and email them to him when he asked for them, because this helped him pick up the right materials. Ric ran a grounded circuit to our garage, installed a circuit breaker box, several 110V outlets, a 220V receptacle, a light switch and three LED lights. The work is clean and organized, and was done on time and on budget. I’m happy to recommend Ric Craig Electric to others.

Rick was fantastic. He was timely and understood exactly what I was trying to accomplish (Spa 220v hook up in the back of my yard). He took care of getting the city permits and inspections. I have a dog that I keep outside (where the work was being done) and Rick said no problem. He did great quality work and I have already referred him to my friends. For further needs I will hire him again.

Ric Craig does great work. He just finished the electrical work for a house remodel that I am working on. He gets it. He got it right away and cranked out his work with amazing dedication and follow-​through.
He does great work, and still thinks about how to save you money in the process.
I have seen him figure out weird electrical problems so fast that I still think about it years later.
And he makes me laugh too!

Rick and his assistant, Jason, have been great to work with for two bathroom remodels, one of which has required a LOT of rewiring. There were numerous ‘surprises’ that Rick faced with a positive, can-​do attitude. Rick has a lot of integrity and major problem solving skills. Overall competence and a pleasure to work with.

He is unique because he both has all the technical strengthens you want in the work as well as a great sense of where switches and lights should go in a house to be functional and look great All of the work was top notch and he is very anal in a good way to make things right. Highly recommended.
