I grew up watching my grandmother create the most wonderful items on her sewing machine so it was only natural that I wanted to follow into her footsteps. While raising my children I started to sew from home, first for us, then for friends, and before you knew it word had gotten around. What started as a hobby blossomed into a nice business.

We had an odd tear in one of our couch cushions. They were able to repair the tear without even seeing where it was torn, and at an extremely reasonable price. At that time we talked about bringing down a recliner that had a few tears. While Janet repaired the tears she discovered one of the boards on the frame were broken and didn’t have a brace. She repaired that and also went ahead and added a braced to the other side. She did such a beautiful job. Both ladies are very friendly, and show you what was done. Also the store is beautiful.

We have pillows and runners made at Pieced on Earth, and we love them just as much now as when we first brought them home. I bought my second runner there just this last weekend. We sat down with Janet and told her what fabrics we like and what kind of a design we had in mind. She delivered gorgeous quality pillows. It is very nice to have décor that is personal and that supports local artistry.
