I’ve been coming here for years and your neighborhood or go to place in case you have a last minute need for basic Filipino cooking needs/ingredients. They sell cooked dishes too at reasonable prices –‘point-point’ style. I’m more of a fan of their pancit which they always give at very generous amount. Not so much with other dishes especially chicken as I had diarrhea episodes a few times before; either related to undercooked meat or contamination due to unsanitary food exposure.

3-J’s is a small full service compact grocery store complete with a take out counter for scoop to go orders. not sure why a tray of uncovered fried fish(bangus?) was siting on top of the shelve. buys: «lucky me» pancit canton,(citrus/sweet & sour) & chicken noodle dry noodle: 3⁄1 –trying out how phillipine ramen tastes like take outs: –3 J has all the necessities one needs in a grocery. didn’t check the pricing. –not everything was priced. –fast, friendly checkout.

The food is ok, but the people are extremely unhelpful. We ordered lumpia & pancit for a party & it wasn’t even ready when I came in to pick it up. The fans are so loud they can’t hear you. I tried waving my pick-up ticket to get someone’s attention. Three people just stared at me & just kept doing whatever they were doing.

Don’t be fooled by the small and unassuming store front. Although 3-J’s is a small Filipino grocery store with a wee-little take-out cafeteria their cooked food tastes amazing and is C H E A P. We, and most other people in the store at lunch time, were there for the cooked food, not the groceries, and this review is strictly about the food. I am grateful to my wife’s Filipino colleagues and hairstylist who all steered us to this culinary gem. They serve the typical«silogs»(various breakfast meat with rice and fried egg) for breakfast and then serve traditional Filipino dishes for lunch. Prices for a heaping mound of rice and one or two heaping servings of your choice of entrée range from $ 3.99 to $ 6.99. For our lunch we sampled several of the entrees including: — Roast pig(lechon) — Adobo and Laing(stewed taro leaves) — Pansit(stir fried vermicelli noodles) They all tasted authentic, were cooked just right and with fresh ingredients. Don’t speak Tagalog and don’t know what to order? Neither do I. Their dishes are clearly displayed behind glass so just pick what looks good to you! As long as the staff are not getting slammed by a lunch horde they will gladly tell you about each of the dishes. As I write this I am getting hungry and will be going there tomorrow morning for their breakfast! ;o)

We were like kids in a candy store… Filipino style. Just because we forgot to order some cooked rice in another store to have with our lunch. Craziness as we walked out with maybe another half dozen hot dishes and some sweet treats. Plenty of choices of hot food to go, great prices, traditional Filipino foods. Tiny store, nice people who run it.

My main spot to order Shanghai lumpias. They also have an a la carte menu and lots of different filipino dishes. Granny comes here all the time. When we have lots of calamansi or lemons. they do buy them from us.(cha-ching) Peeps here are really nice. Been knowing them for a while. It’s nice to see the younger generation come help out on the weekends. Thought that was cool. Parking lot is usually PACKED on the weekends, b/c of Golden City Buffet. OMG. but most of the time you’re in and out. Service charge for using the plastic(a.k.a. credit/debit card) which they didn’t have before. Guess times are tough for everyone.

I live near here and it is a great market for veggies and other items that you won’t find at Food 4 less. Generally we don’t eat Filipino food from restaurants because our home cooking is better(haha) but their hot food is good, great for days when we’re too lazy to cook :) They make goat kaldereta on Saturday and it is SOOO good, as is the dinuguan.

My ma-in-law turned me on to this small Filipino store. They have your traditional Asian produce, assorted fresh fish, meat section, imported foods, snacks and frozen goods. Not to mention live Blue Crabs! You can grab to-go Filipino cooked food, from Chicken Adobo to Crispy Pata. The Balut(Asian delicacy) here was awesome! Cooked perfectly and ready to eat yummy…
