Smart & Final

I’m a huge fan of this Smart & Final store. The produce is always fresh, the store brand items are just as good (and sometimes better) than name brands, the prices are competitive to other nearby stores, you can buy in bulk if you want/​need to, the meat is never brown (eww) and the employees are always friendly.
My favorite part of the store is where you can bag up various snacks, sweets, nuts, coffee, beans, etc. You can rack up some big savings by self bagging some of these items (coffee and nuts among my favorite).
I seriously like that I can purchase some food items in «small bulk». By that I mean, I can get stuff like canned corn in an eight pack, instead of a single can like a grocery store, or a case like at a Costco/Sam’s club. There’s plenty of «right size» items for my household here.
We grill… A LOT… at my place. They’ve always got good looking cuts of steak, fish and ribs which are perfect for grilling. I’m a seafood lover, and LOVE that, from time to time, they’ll have shark steaks or king crab legs out for sale, among other non-​traditional seafood items (Pacu fish, scallops, etc.).
Now please trust me, I’m not being paid by Smart & Final or anything, but compare their «First Street» brand ANYTHING to your favorite national brand and tell me it doesn’t almost taste the same or better (for less cost). From milk and cheese, ketchup and mustard, burgers and dogs, seriously, my family loves First Street brand. (OK, since I’m being honest here, the ONLY First Street product we didn’t like better was their waffle cone ice cream which were soggy). But still, if saving money is your goal, it’s a safe bet.
They’ve even got a decent selection of wine, alcohol and even beer.

I’ve been to this smart and final a couple of times and each time has been pleasant. The staff is very friendly and greats me with great respect. I wish I would have caught the name of the young man who helped me yesterday when I went to go buy popcorn. The store is clean, well stocked and wide lanes (which I can’t say the same of the one in Rancho Cucamonga on Baseline).

This place is WONDERFUL! I have made it my go to grocery store and more.
We always come to S &F first, then we go to Stater Bros. 90% of the time everything is at S&F.
Plus, the staff is wonderful. You can’t lose

The manager at this store is very rude and has no business being a manager.
He is very disrespectful. He was yelling on the intercom for a employee that had not showed up. Very very unprofessional
Manger. I will not shop in this store again. He needs to learn how to treat people with respect. Its so sad this stores customer service is not just not good.

Yes, I know the meat was on sale. Yes, I know it was stew meat. Yes, I know there should be marbling and fat. But really? Look at the fat, membrane, bone, and tough tissue (all indigestible even if stewed for days). If I wanted to be my own butcher, I would go back to shopping at Stater’s. Even on sale I spent $ 12.00!

I would give this place 3 stars just for NEVER having that already-​cooked chicken (at any time of the day I go in) but since the bitch with the short black Curley hair at the registrar tonight (Wednesday 7:45pm ⁹⁄₂₃) was SO RUDE, fuck it, I left my stuff on the conv belt and walked out. She started aggressively pushing my stuff down the belt to the back because I wasnt ready (maybe I put it on to soon) but DAMN! I put extra stuff on the belt before I walked out on purpose! I’m a nice young 23 yr old girl, I didn’t deserve that. She put a bad taste in my mouth for this S&F location.

The level of service i just received by cashier on checkout lane #5 Roxanne was incredible, i accidentally ripped a bag of nuts that went all over the floor without hesitation she grabbed a broom and swept it up and checked me out all in a timely manner

This store is clean and stocked well. The associates are friendly and the young Mexican girl manager is super cool, hence the fourth star

This smart and final is nice but I excepted better prices. Service is ok. It’s clean and nice. Prices are a little high. Won’t shop here without coupons.

Love the new Smart & Final Extra that just opened here in Upland. Fresh Produce, clean and nice set up! Like that I can get in and out without the loong lines. Unlike Staterbros across the street. Will continue to come back!

So nice to have this little gem come to our neighborhood. Customer service is amazing and they have almost everything you need!

I am officially in love with this place. I will probably never shop anywhere else. I loved the positive attitude of the employees, the efficiency of the checkers, and the great prices. Great job guys, you killed it!

My review on the store that’s awesome it’s got everything I need in it and one place so I really don’t have to go from one store to another and it’s in a great location sad to see Albertsons go but Thanks that they put the store in its place they could have put something stupid but they built a smart and final smart and finally this place rocks I can’t believe they even carry dry ice great for camping trips.

Recently opened, this now occupies the old Albertson’s store. The building has undergone a nice facelift and the inside is everything you would expect from a top grocery store. Unlike the store in Rancho Cucamonga, it is spacious and as a result, has a larger assortment of items. I think the look and feel of the place is more like a regular grocery store, rather than a club store, which is a good thing. The entire staff is extremely friendly and make you feel like a welcome guest.
