Marcel is the best and we highly recommend him! I got married and moved to the OC with my husband but my dad had other plans. He wanted us to move back to Valencia to be closer to my parents and family. :-p And I was not having it! We had another real estate agent show us some houses in the area. The houses were ok and the real estate agent was just ok. She did her job well but kind of hard to talk to her. It felt just business-​like. We didn’t like anything that day and that was it.
My dad somehow convinced my husband it was better to move back here so I was now outnumbered! They were both looking online on redfin. I think one of them found a house that they liked and so my dad, with no experience on redfin, assumed you just call the real estate agent whose name and picture are on the same page as the house and set up an appt to see the house with that agent instead of your own. And that agent was Marcel! We ended up picking a few houses to see and we met up with him. Right away you could tell he was a fun and talkative real estate agent but definitely serious about his job, knows what he is doing, and very good at it!
Even though I wasn’t too thrilled about moving back (Santa Clarita is a good place to live but after living here forever, I just wanted a break!;), Marcel made it fun to look at houses! And he worked so hard for us. We went through tons and tons and tons and literally tons of houses. Some that were ok, some houses were nice, and some we loved but just couldn’t outnumber other buyers! Believe me, my husband and I almost wanted to give up and take a break because everyone was out there scooping up homes! But Marcel did a great job in working with us burned out and tired folks! :-p
Eventually we found a house we liked (me mainly the kitchen;), we put an offer and ours was accepted! We were excited it finally happened and were relieved. Marcel recommended an excellent inspector, Marc, and we had the house inspected. And thank goodness we did because the house was a complete disaster and both Marcel and Marc, as an agent, inspector, and friends told us not to go through with it. We didn’t thankfully but definitely slowed down the process. Finding a house can be overwhelming sometimes but when you have a GREAT real estate agent, it definitely helps!
After a few more looks, a strange thing happened. I, the one who didn’t want to move back, found a house that looked very nice. But we weren’t able to look at it because we were heading out on vacation. We showed my dad and Marcel, who got my dad in to see it first before the other potential buyers. We got ahold of my dad before we got to the airport and he excitedly exclaimed he loved the house and had a great feeling we’d love it too! We also talked to Marcel on the phone, who answered our questions honestly and let us know about the certain features, look, and size of the different rooms (and of course the kitchen!). After all, he definitely knew what we were looking for all this time! With that kind of assurance by both Marcel and my dad, we put down an offer! We went on our vacation, came back, and waited with patience. And luck was on our side because the sellers chose us! And we didn’t even look at the house yet!
We made another appointment with Marc, the inspector, and came that day with Marcel and my dad to look at «our» house! Marcel showed us around, we saw the view and loved it, and after we saw everything, it felt like home. The feeling we didn’t get at any other house we looked at… even the other house we almost got. The house passed the inspection, and after all the paperwork, it was ours!:)
Marcel stood by us through the whole journey and always with a smile on his face! He was always very thorough in everything he did. Easy to get ahold of when we needed him, easy to make an appointment with to see the houses, easy to talk to, felt like a true friend, and made the whole process enjoyable! Trust me when I say that when you start looking for a home, without a second thought, go with Marcel. You will NOT be disappointed!!! He’s the best! Thank you Marcel for everything! :)
