4HomeBoundHounds was created to care for family pets that wait patiently for their owners to return home. As much as we would like to take our family pets with us everywhere, it’s not always practical or safe for that to occur. We want to improve your family pets’ quality of life — and yours — by taking care of your furry friends when you’re out.

We are proud to serve our home community of the Santa Clarita Valley and adjacent communities, including: Valencia, Saugus, Newhall, Canyon Country, Stevenson Ranch and Castaic.

Meet the Business Owner

Heather D.

Business Owner

Heather D was born in Santa Monica, CA and raised in Southern California on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. After graduating from high school in 1978, she joined the U.S. Air Force where she was trained as an Aircraft Maintenance Specialist and Assistant Crew Chief on KC-135a’s. This training gave Heather her first management experience at a young age, shouldering a high degree of responsibility working on military aircraft, where time schedules and attention to detail are critical. She was stationed in the San Joaquin Valley at Castle Air force base and lived in Northern California until 1993.

From 1993 through 2010, Ms. Donohue traveled throughout the United States, living in several states including Virginia, Rhode Island and Texas. Driven by a desire to help people, she pursued a career in behavioral science. She earned her AA in Liberal Arts in Hampton Roads, VA, then continued her education in Texas, earning her BA and MA in Psychology from Hardin-​Simmons University.
