WestCoast Pool Service and Repair

This was my second time calling David at West Coast Pool Service. Last year he painted our pool, cleaned our tiles & installed new colored lights. He did an amazing job and was done when promised.
Today he installed a new vacuum for my pool. My old vacuum hadn’t worked in a long time and David came through as promised.
David is always a phone call away and is courteous & professional. I would recommend his service to anyone & everyone.

In December (2015) I needed to replace my filter and wanted to see about changing my pump to a variable speed pump in order to save on my electric bill. David came out and recommended a filter and variable speed pump and gave me a reasonable estimate. We set up the date to install and David arrived on time. Filter and pump were installed and have been working great. Will definitely use David for future pool repairs.

David and West Coast Pool has been servicing my pool for over a year now and I’ve had nothing but excellent service with him. David does a great job keeping the pool sparking clear for my kids and family to swim in it! David also just replaced my light fixture which was at a very reasonable price. In fact, he had to pay more for the light fixture versus what he quoted me and he was going to eat the cost and not charge me. Because of his excellent service I split the difference with him so he wouldn’t lose much on the repair. I would highly recommend him to anyone out there looking for pool service and repair! He is honest and gets the job done! Great job David and West Coast keep up the excellent work!

Dave is the nicest guy I’ve never met. I was able to have a quote performed while out of town on business. Dave invited me to his home to take a look at his backyard to show me the quality of his work. In three days, Dave’s amazing team turned my unsightly pool into the pool we thought we would never have. For the price we paid, the customer service we received and for the overall work performed we are truly grateful and highly recommend to others. We plan on using Dave and his team on a near future project.

David was great… Had some issues with my pool and patio deck… He came up with a great flagstone style design. Affordable price and a great attitude. I will definitely use David for any future projects or repairs I will need on my pool.

I had a pool emergency. I called David at WestCoast Pool Service and scheduled an appointment. My pump would not create flow. David came out and got my pump running at NO CHARGE. My pump still had a problem and he came over the following week. He took his time and made the proper diagnosis. He ordered the parts and installed them on his rest day.(GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE) He stayed until I was satisfied with the operation of the pump.

I was loosing water out of my pool at an alarming rate. About 1−2″ in 2 – 3 days. I researched companies on Unilocal and found West Coast Pool Repairs and saw their glaring 5 Star rating. I Read the reviews and I noted almost 100 before and after photos. All very impressive.
I called and talked with David. He came out and gave me an estimate to test ALL my lines. He guaranteed me he would find the leak. Unfortunately he did not find a leak… he found three. I also had very bad scale around the waterline of the pool and the spill area of the spa (see before and after pictures posted a few weeks ago). I also had broken bricks around the skimmer.
I realized that these repairs would be expensive as concrete for all three leaks would have to be removed, then replaced. All repairs were made on the leaks, the cleaning of the tile, bricks and oh did I mention the coping also had to be replaced. Timelines were relatively reasonable and work was completed within those timelines.
Good work — reasonable pricing. No leaks since the pool has been filled. Thank you Dave.

After an appointment to look at the current pool equipment, they never got back to me with an estimate. I emailed, got a response of, «Oh yeah, I’ll get back to you…». Second email, asking for the estimate, same «oh yeah, I’ll get back to you… Nothing more ever came of it. Weird at best, very unprofessional more likely.

David is sincere, professional and friendly. I am happy with his job done and will call him again when I need service.

We had WestCoast completely resurface our pool and they were fantastic. We bough the house and didn’t realize the damage it had so we needed it done fairly quickly, and they also advised how we could set things up to be better and also provided a new energy-​efficient fuel pump to get us money back and lower electricity bills. David was professional, patient and his team was efficient. They arrived on time and did great work. It was a pleasure and our pool looks great ready for some summer BBQ pool parties!

I am a big user of Unilocal when I am looking for help. My pool pump failed and I needed it fixed and thought I would have a difficult time finding someone reliable right at Christmas time. I read the reviews here on Unilocal and it seemed overwhelming the positive response towards WestCoast Pool Service. I did not hesitate to call David and try his service. I expected a delay because of the time of year but he was there on the day he said he would at the time he said he would. I am big on punctuality!
It only took David five minutes to diagnose the problem and was pleased that he was honest enough to tell me that I did not need a whole new pump at $ 1600. He would replace the drive assembly at half the price and would give me a three year warranty on parts and service. He was able to work around us being gone over the holiday season and did our communicating over the phone so I did have to have his utmost trust.
He pointed out that the last person to replace the pump never programmed it at all and just let it run as is. My pump runs at night when I am asleep so I never noticed anything different about the new pump from the old pump. David programmed it for me and gave me simple instructions over the phone so I could go home and tinker with the settings. He even offered to come back out when he is in the area if I did not get how the programming works.
I will definitely keep his card in my card file, use them again at anytime and definitely recommend them for anyone’s pool repairs or service.

From the first phone call through the completion of the project, David and his crew were AWESOME! David is a professional and personable guy and I could tell immediately that he cares about the work he does and the customers he works with. We had a pool remodel done and he worked with us through every step, called to check in regularly and got the job completed on time. We are extremely happy with the way it all turned out and have even decided we will continue to have WestCoast continue to service the pool regularly for us. I know there are a lot of pool services and contractors out there, some which may be less expensive, some which may be more, but I can tell you that you will be happy if you choose David and his team! Found and went with this company completely based on Unilocal and the reviews I read. I called and even though I try and do my own pool maintenance David was more than willing to give advise and help any way possible. I tried contacting Hayward and after multiple attempts without any success David said he would take care it which he did. Overall very pleased with the communication and quick service this company provides.

I am a pool service company in orange county and am giving this company a 5 star review because I can tell that he is honest and cares for his customers the same way I do. In this industry it can be rare. Keep up the good work it is nice to see other companies that still have that good old fashion hard work ethic.

If you’re looking for a pool company for service, remodel etc. you can stop your looking now! This company is A++++ and I highly recommend it. I have had houses where we started a new pool owned properties that had old pools in need of service and repair and historically pool companies are highly sketchy! West Coast Pool Service and Repair stands head and shoulders above the rest!
David is highly ethical and has the customer’s best interest as his first priority!

David is the man! He gave me a tutorial, cleaning and some solid advice on me as a rookie pool owner on trying to maintain my own pool. He was very knowledgeable with my pentair easy touch system and sold me a creepy crawly to help out with my maintenance. I have since called him for advice and he is so helpful giving free troubleshooting advice, what a good business owner. I will definitely use him if I decide to pay for service or upgrade my pump. Its a competitive world out there and when you find someone that provides such amazing service and says what they say they are going to do… And do it with a smile and class It should be noted… I am just now in the process of remodeling a home and have had to move into it to get the job done… Unfortunately that takes me away from my eight year old daughter who I miss terribly… My pool heater in this house was a disaster and it was time to purchase a new one… I called several businesses in the area and didn’t feel comfortable with what I was hearing… most didn’t have the time to do the job… After my first call to David we arranged to meet that day… He was here within a few hours and had said that he could do the job… I told him about trying to get this done asap so I could have the pool for my little one… You could tell his day was already booked and busy BUT he said that he would have it done THAT afternoon so I could have a place for my daughter to swim while I work… Heart and Soul … David is the real deal ! Fair price and a heart of gold… A+ service…

David and his team did a great job on our 30+ year old pool. He was able to work out a great package for us to fit in our budget without trying to push any extra work. He repeatedly came out to make sure everything was going well and made sure that we were completely happy before he accepted payment.
There’s not much more I can say that hasn’t already been said in the other reviews so far. I would definitely recommend him to my friends and my real estate clients.
