this place used to be my favorite sushi spot. i have been going here for 4 years now. service has been declining recently. sense when do the waiters argue with customers? orders are getting missed or misread. on 02÷24÷16 my girlfriend called to make a reservation for 03÷04÷16 @7pm. i call on 03÷03÷16 to check on the reservation. the lady that answered the phone said they do not take reservations for friday. i asked for her to check on the reservation. she said how are we supposed to know if we are going to be busy or not? she said its first come first serve. i told her i will be there tomorrow with 10 people. i ended up hanging up on her. guess i have to find a new sushi spot.

The absolute best sushi!!! The AYCE is excellent and you can choose any roll they have on their extensive menu. My favorite roll is the Diablo and give the avocado bombs a try. The chefs are really nice and the serve waiters are very attentive.

I love this place, it’s kinda small but the food is very good but the parking sucks so if you go with a big Group try and carpool.

One of my fav spots to eat AYCE sushi with a pretty varietal selection. This place gets packed especially on Friday and Saturday nights. Some of my fav’s are the avocado bombs, Victoria Secret Roll, the Cherry Blossom, Orange Blossom… I haven’t been disappointed yet with my roll selections. Service is alright. They get really busy so sometimes some things take a while; like getting on the wait list almost to which you’re ready to sign yourself in; not sure if they were short staffed or if they’re usually a bit disorganized and then when you’re ready to get & pay the check. It’s as if they have one gatekeeper. Lol Regardless, if you have some patience, I recommend this place for some unique, exclusive, delicious rolls included with the AYCE sushi menu

I’ve been coming here for years because the sushi is my favorite, the oh honey roll is a must have if your looking for a great roll! The sushi is the best I’ve had in the Inland empire however the service is the worst I’ve ever had, with that being said the quality of the rolls keeps me coming back. 4 stars is based off the rolls alone.

AYCE sushi means huge variety of tasty rolls. I seriously wonder if anyone has ever made it all five rounds. Since they do not put a limit on the number of rolls you can order at any time, you can order a ton the first go around. There were three of us eating and we basically went ham. I think by the end we tried 9 different rolls and got individual pieces of sushi plus 4 dishes of green mussels(they are seriously good). Although I don’t remember all the rolls we got, I did like the VIP Salmon and the Spiderman. I didn’t like the one we got with strawberries. It had a weird taste combination. The spicy tuna was very good, so everything we ordered with that ended up being a favorite. Honestly, with pages and pages of specialty rolls, you’ll find something for everyone. I was afraid the sushi would be subpar since the restaurant might bank on the all you can eat factor, but I was pleasantly surprised. I thought the rolls were as good as restaurants that don’t offer AYCE. I was afraid it would take a long time to get the rolls. However, they come out very fast. As other reviewers have noted, service here can be slow, but once the sushi chefs get your sheet, they churn out the rolls lickity split. It can get pretty busy. We got here at 6 p.m. on a Saturday night and got the last table. However, I noticed tables turn over decently fast, so there were never a ton of people waiting at the same time. I would definitely come here with a large group and all do AYCE. What is nice is if someone in your group doesn’t want to do it, they don’t have to. My husband ordered the chicken terriyaki and was perfectly happy not gorging himself on sushi. However, I wouldn’t do the AYCE by yourself. The rolls are normal sized rolls so you would probably eat yourself out on only a couple. Trying the different types is part of the allure.

Seriously the sushi is OKAY. But don’t bother coming here. Service is so bad! We waited over an hour, after being told it would only be 20 minutes and they clearly couldn’t keep track of waiting guests. They tried to call us over but we know that another couple was there longer and pointed it out. They had been missed because their name was on the wrong page of their scribbled book. To make matters worse, they strongly defended their own stupidity with patronizing statements. Once we were finally seated it took forever to get drinks and food. Finally we took our AYCE sheet to the sushi bar ourselves. They forgot half of what we had on the sheet and at least 3x they came by and tried to give us rolls we didn’t order. They are way too disorganized to be running this place. And the guy up front playing host was exceptionally incompetent and rude(bad combo). Many of my family are in the restaurant business and that host would have been fired for sure. We won’t be back here. Sushi was good but not nearly good enough to make it worth all that!

This place is seriously great! All you can eat for a very reasonable price and the menu selection is huge. The bomb Bay is one of my favorites along with the avocado bombs. Yummmm. The service is always great. This is the only place where I will eat sushi. Always so fresh and flavorful && Always a great time.

Horrible service, rude waiters. Food was marginal at best. The iced tea was good, thats a plus. Been there many times before but, never going back. I suggest Satsuma or Sho. Bye Felisha.(If I could rate 0 stars I would!)

Let me tell you how today went, let’s just say it was the worst ever !!! They’re service was horrible we got here at 4pm put out name on the list they told us 15 min we waited literally 50 min before we even got seated ! They seated other people before us who got here after us, even if they’re party’s were smaller they should be organized and make sure they make it to where they give the customer service the right way. Now finally after a hour of basically waiting we sit down and start to order the first round comes out and let me tell you we waited literally another 30 min for the remainder of the first round to come. I’m done typing just know I won’t return ever again here !

Went here for lunch for the first time today. I ordered the all you can eat lunch. The selection for the all you can eat menu was huge and a ton of variety. There were no pictures in the menu, so some of the rolls I ordered were different from what I was expecting(not a bad thing though). I tried to venture out to rolls that I’ve never had before and was pleasantly surprised. Everything I ordered was delicious and fresh. They had a lot of some kind of sweet sauce on most of the rolls. It was a little too sweet for my taste, but was happy after removing some of the sauce. My son has an allergy to nuts and seeds, including sesame seeds. The waitress and chef was diligent in making sure there were no sesame seeds on anything we ordered. My kids(2 and 4) had their standard sushi restaurant lunch of a bowl of white rice and a heap of crab meat filling. They cleaned their plates. And the cost was reasonable(unlike other sushi places we’ve been to). My 2 year old loved the rainbow roll. Service was good. The food came out quickly after we ordered, but the waitress took a while to take our order/refill drinks. The manager was our waitress and she was very friendly and accommodating to the kids. My favorite was the avocado bomb… A whole avocado, filled with spicy tuna, cream cheese, sauce, and deep fried. Yum! I will definitely return again! And soon :)

I’ve been a frequent visitor of Takumi. As a college student, I’ve been to my fair share of AYCE sushi joints. I found that the usual case with sushi establishments like these, quality is traded in for quantity. Takumi destroyed all of my misgivings as soon as I took my first bite. The first thing to note is the quality. The quality of the fish itself always tastes super fresh. One thing that I love the most about the way they make their rolls is the choice to use light sauces vs. heavy mayos. Almost every other sushi shop I’ve gone to always use these heavy mayo-based sauces that I think just brings the roll down. Takumi makes it a point to make their rolls taste and feel fresh. One prime example of this and my favorite roll to order is the Pink Dragon. The use of lemon slices on top of the roll brings a freshness to a sushi roll that I haven’t experienced from any other shop yet. Other notable favorites that I haven’t experienced elsewhere are the VIP tuna and salmon. I’ve honestly never had a bad experience here yet. The staff is always friendly and timely, and when we get our favorite spot on the bar, our sushi chef always makes sure we’re fed and have tried everything we want to. They’re music choice is always on point as well. I find myself asking the staff all the time what they’re playing. Criticisms: atmosphere? I think they could use some more windows to bring in more natural light to make the room feel not so closed off. Just my personal preference. Overall: highly recommend. Fresh. Make sure to try the Pink Dragon and the VIP salmon and tuna.

I never had any interest in AYCE Sushi until I started coming here. I come with classmates at least once a week and we always do AYCE. Their menu is pretty extensive, so there are always new rolls to try. The Strawberry Lemonade Roll, Oh Honey Roll, Victoria Secret Roll, and Spicy Tuna Roll are must haves. Service is usually prompt and they do their best to accommodate large groups. The only complaints I have come from my last 2 visits. Our server, an older lady, had a pretty snappy attitude and seemed outright annoyed by us simply placing our orders. It took 30 minutes for them to get our bill split and paid for. We got really nervous because they held on to our cards during that time and seemed to be upset with us when we questioned why it took so long. They also took it upon themselves to add the tip to everybody’s bill. Didn’t worry about them adding the tip on their own too much because we all generally tip more than what they added. Hope they read these reviews and make changes to go back to how they used to be.

The sushi is good. For $ 23AYCE I feel as though there should be better service, I waited 20 minutes to just order a drink, never did get a refill either. Waited another 20 minutes to just have someone pick up our paper with our orders. Disappointed to say the least.

I’m not a big fan of this place. It’s a bit pricier than other AYCE sushi in the area and the service isn’t good at all. Don’t expect your drinks refilled either. My sister however, loves this place so I go with her when we’re together. The rolls tastes fine but they’re loosely rolled so it falls apart easily and the rolls are super small. I’ve been here many times, not bad but if I’m not with family I go somewhere else.

Me and my boyfriend come here often, we love it. Always had good service and a good time. We always get the same guy who busses our table and is so understanding and nice. 5 stars for him. However, the people who run it ruined it. Tonight we had terrible service. They were rude, disrespectful and acting like we were wasting their time. When it was time to leave they kept our check/card for over 20 minutes and when we politely asked if they were done with it she rudely told us to sit down and when she’s ready she’ll take it to us.(She continued to stand there and do nothing) When it was time to leave my boyfriend quickly signed and we got up to leave(we were in a rush) she came out to us and said(rude as h*ll again) «who had this you forgot to tip» my boyfriend apologized and went to give a tip and she started ranting on about«how can you not leave a tip on a bill that’s just ridiculous» so I told him don’t leave anything for her. After that she started speaking a different language and continued to belittle us. After she made her way in we walked in and gave the guy cash for being the only person there that actually did his job correctly. Their food is amazing. But definitely needs a change of attitude.

Every time I get sushi it’s from here. I love how many options they have. I wish I had a picture of the menu cuz then you’d understand. They have a crazy selection. My favorite is the upland roll and the Asahi roll. The presentation is always good. Same sushi chefs since I started this place about 4 years ago. Sometimes it gets busy but the waiters do their best to keep a handle on it. Try to be patient cuz the waiters are really nice guys. My faves are Asahi and upland roll. I want sushi now dammit.

My favorite spot for sushi in Upland. I’m from LA but travel here for school and I could’t be happier with this spot. Small place but the wait is not long. It does get busy evening time. The servers are great and the sushi gets to your table fast. They have a great selection of items I’ve never tried before. The Victoria Secret is by far my favorite roll. A very unique one is the strawberry lemonade, it has a very fresh taste. I recently tired the takumi roll and it’s also one of my favorites. And don’t forget to order Wonton popper!!!
