I would say this is one of the nicer Stater Bros. that I’ve been to. This is super clean and friendly staff. Case in point, the one off Mountain and Foothill I would stay away from. It’s the complete opposite. However, I would make the extra drive to come to thin particular location. The only negative is its location within the shopping center. It’s right next to a liquor store and at times you will pass some people loitering that you won’t necessarily want to. Also, park in the back. If you are anywhere near the front, good luck getting out in a timely manner. To avoid this, you can actually drive around the back of this place, not too many people know about that.

I don’t like the various«charities» that are encouraged to camp out in front of the entrance. The wax paper society or whoever they were created a time wasting distraction today. They are irritating. The parking lot and the store entrance are already crowded and difficult enough to navigate, these people make it worse & I don’t need the harassment. News flash to management: These people are BOTHERING your customers, a lot of people won’t say anything because it’s not politically correct, what they will do is shop elsewhere next time. I will go where I can shop unfettered. Why do these people assume that we all have extra time, money & want to talk to them, I don’t!

Lazy worker at meat department. My daughter asked me to go with her to buy meat because the last time she went the guy at meat dept made a face when she asked for 6 lbs of meat. Really??? So here I go thinking maybe he was having a bad day. Today Saturday Dec 26, 20158pm we get to the meat department, different guy. My daughter asked for 10 lbs of meat. COULDNOTBELIEVE this guy rolled is eyes muttered something under his breath. I asked him if he was having a bad day. He totally ignored me SO! I asked two more times. Louder each time. He finally said«it’s been slow» He should be grateful he has a job Oh another thing he was handled the meat with his bare hands. Didn’t wash his hands, no gloves Ugh!!! He used a piece of plastic but on several pieces used his bare hands. Um refused those. Feel bad for the next customer

I have been coming to the market for a while now and there is a female cashier that is always very rude ! Her name is Nicole G. She is also very snippy with her coworkers(snatching stuff out of their hands). I could understand we all have a bad day and the struggles of working in retail(working with the public) however she is consistently MOODY! it’s been well over 6 months that I have noticed her poor attitude towards myself and others … BEWARE !

Can only say nice things about the staff and store! A wonderful place to shop everything is were it should be and the store is clean and up to date with anything you’d need from a grocery store! The parking lot can get crowded but it’s mostly because of the other businesses in the shopping centre. It’s an exemplary example of the American grocery store.

In this day and age where shoppers can instantly Unilocal you as I am sittingin the parking lot(after spending $ 200 inside this store) — it amazes me to STILL get rude service by store management. Management should remember that they are the example… they set the tone. Yeah, Yeah so what happened… I asked for cash back. The cashier didn’t have $ 120 so she asked the manager(brown vest — is that the manager?) who answered the phone as she called him from 2 stations over and he huffed, rolled his eyes, and slammed the phone down giving her the approval to take it from another checker next to her… the checker that was checking me out profusely apologized to him over the phone — leaving me to stand there with a stream of other customers watching this interaction — feeling like crap. OK so no one can make you feel like crap — I let them — but nevertheless — I was steamed. Hey Stater Bros! if you don’t want to give cash back then take it off the menu of options when we check out.

I will drive all the way across town to go to this Stater Bros. and we only buy meat from them. The butcher dept. is awesome– and will do special requests with a smile and good conversation. They are the ones that advised me that it is a better deal and waaay better quality and taste to get a chuck roast and have them grind it up than get ground beef. Ground beef is scraps of meat and is often approx. $ 5.89 a lb while chuck roast I get it for as low as $ 3.99– and it IS superior quality. Often have good deals on steaks– t bone and ribeye– excellent quality steaks. I comparison shop and Stater Bros more often than not has consistently good deals and sales. This store in particular is very clean, well stocked, good customer service, and the carts are gathered frequently(not all over the parking lot). The store is a little old school(reminds me of when I was a kid) but I like that :) Aisles are a little narrow but most customers are friendly too– nice crop of people that frequent this store. Overall I have never had a bad experience at the Staters on 16th and Mountain– hope I got the right address. Think some of the negative reviews might be for the one on foothill and mountain. I don’t buy paper products here(paper towels, plates, toilet paper) those are never a good deal. Better to go to Costco or Target.

Lisa from the deli is the best. I went in one Friday afternoon and she went out her way to make sure I was satisfied. She was very helpful. I think she should train all the workers to be as awesome as she is.

Rude ignorant inconsiderate employees. They were never taught to say excuse me. Typical millennials. Terrible low grade produce section. Thank goodness a warehouse type grocery store opened up on mountain and foothill. Good-by Stater bros. A painted pig is still a pig…

Apparently according to their staff their time is more precious than yours. I was in line today and an employee got in line behind me. Another lane was opened and the lady went first because her time is limited. Yeah well so is mine.

So if you’re living in San Bernardino, I’ll give you a little tip with how I’ve noticed Stater Brothers are. The ones North of the 10 Freeway are better than the ones South of it, the ones furthest North of the 10 are better than the ones closer to it, the ones closest to the 210 are better than the others, and the ones North of the 210 are the best. Visit each Stater Brothers, starting from one North of the 210 all the down to the 60 and tell me I’m wrong. Anyway, this Stater Brothers is really nice, neat and clean. I’ve noticed my produce stays fresh a little longer(and sometimes, I have to take the fruit home and let it ripen a few days before it’s ready). Ditto with the seafood and meat departments. The seafood I buy here rarely has that«fish» smell coming off it(like two or more day old seafood does). The meat I buy here rarely turns brown until a few days after it has been sitting in my fridge, which means no need to only buy what I need to cook that day/next few days. Their craft beer selection isn’t as great as some of the other Stater Brothers, but, that makes sense since there is a liquor store next door that sells a good selection of that. The parking lot here is a death trap though. On two separate occasions, I almost got hit as a pedestrian walking in/out of the store!

Every single time we’ve been there and couldn’t find something on the shelf, they lazy employees all say the same thing. «If it’s not on the shelf, we don’t have it.» Lies! The other Stater Bros. will always go in the back to look for you! Though, I like this meat counter better. So, meat is the only thing I shop here for when buying steaks.

really?! with all the good reviews you’d think this store would actually have something to offer but like most other stater bros markets they are crammed and the selection is limited. the one good thing I can say about this place is that they have 10 cookies for a $ 1.00 and the cookies are soft and de-LISH so go there for cookies alone, if at all.

This market is literally walking distance from my house. I usually don’t shop here often for I am a costco shopper but when I need something at the last minute, I come by to pick up a few things. Every once in awhile I will come here for their chicken tenders and potato wedges. It’s so good and what makes it better is their pricing! 1 pound of chicken tenders and 1 pound of potato wedges is like $ 7! That’s a lot of food, trust me. There were times when they had those big bags of cheetos on sale where if you get 4 or more bags it’s $ 1.25. I bought like 10 bags at a time literally. All the staffs are friendly here too.

I pass another Stater Bros that is closer to me to go to this one. I am amazed at the difference — not to be snobby or racist but there IS a different socioeconomic mix at this one in North Upland rather than the one on Mountain/Foothill which even going into the parking lot reminds me of something more urban and dirty. The North Upland store is cleaner, no people in the parking lot asking you for your extra change, the employees all look you in the eyes with a smile and truly helpful. Even the kids bagging are just miles better at customer service…

This store is literally less than a mile away from our house. We go there for the decent prices but mostly the convenience. The aisles are small, hard to get thru sometimes with other people around. The staff isn’t super friendly, just kind of … there. I’ve never had a BAD experience there until yesterday however. Tuesday night at 7pm, we went to the back meat counter and ordered 1 pound of chicken breast(3 chicken breast). It was a steal at 1.99/pound, at least we thought. Yesterday(Wednesday) around 10am, I got the chicken out of the fridge, unwrapped it and it was GREEN! I was disgusted. I immediately called to speak to a manager. A female manager came on, wasn’t sympathetic at all, never apologized and only said«you can come in and get a refund or get new chicken.» I rushed over there, walked the chicken and the receipt back to the meat counter, and told the man the problem. He didn’t sound surprised at all and asked me if I wanted new chicken or a refund. My best guess is this happens more then we realize. Since I had already started lunch, I decided to get more chicken. He gave me a quick«I’m sorry about that» and I left. I was very disappointed in their lack of sympathy. I wasn’t expecting free chicken or anything major. A sincere apology would have sufficed. My family will continue to shop there but we must be more cautious of the meat now.

I’m new to the area. actually live about a two minutes away. The meat department is friendly and helpful, thank you, but the clerks are snobby and NOT friendly. I contest all the other comments on how friendly this store is. Not true. Ps. I come from a background of management for 5 star establishments, either part of or working with the team. No eye contact; mumbling their responses to MYGREETINGS; Half glance to customers, etc. WEAK! This is a direct reflection of upper management and the lack, there of. Vons. Pavilions continues to receive my long receipts, while the milk run goes to Staters. Thank you for reading. Happy Holidays!

The deli/meat section of the store is nice. The steaks and sea foods are pretty good. It really no different from the Albertson’s that is closer to my house and has a wider selection. I go here because it is a lot less busy and the staff is friendlier. The prices are decent and the store is kept clean. I stop in usually if i have to get something real quick and they always have what I want.

So cheap– so wonderful. I picked up some goodies while visiting my parents. Nice selection of meats(Steaky is yummy) and the produce is fresh. No wilted compost here! Soy milk was chhhhhhhheeeeeeap.(Prices and location) I have to say– I’m no Chef– but I made a pretty decent meal. :) SURF&TURF!
