This is my second time here, I brought my son in for his yearly eye check up. They do great with him he’s only 6 and has trouble focusing but they were so understanding! The entire staff if friendly even on Saturday. People aren’t usually happen they have to work on Saturdays but these girls were awesome!!! Can’t wait to return to pick up my sons glasses.

Our family (three of us) went together. We had different eye vision issues, and the optometrist was very patient and professional. Excellent experience.

I do not recommend this place. they WILL SCAM you. I came here multiple times to get my eyeglasses. First, they strongly and repeatedly suggested me to get the «progressive» due to my eye condition that the doctor diagnosed me with and that glasses will cost me $ 500… I took their «professional» advice. They called me after 2 weeks to get my glasses pickup. I went feeling excited about a new glasses and to see what’s this «highly recommended progressive» glasses is all about… i came in, i signed in and waited for half an hour (they were only 1 pt in the office),… so finally the stuff came to talk to me and have me try the glasses first. as soon as I tried the glasses on, I knew it wasn’t for me. it was still blurry as f” and everything wasn’t right but the staffs and the doctor INSISTED me to get use to it for 1 week … this went on for 3 visits, they fix the glasses and still they cannot get my right prescription …
SO I went back to my old eye doc about an hour away and I told them the whole story… they doctor in rainbow opt MISSED DIAGNOSED my eye condition and I DIDN’T EVEN NEED PROGRESSIVE glasses… I just needed a simple reading and driving glasses … what a SCAM

As always the entire staff at Rainbow Optometry are amazing! We are tough on glasses. Twice my family has needed to repair frames, and instead they replaced them., $ 25! Very pleased with the service and relaxed atmosphere.

Warning! I brought my daughter to this place for 3 years the dr had her prescription at a high +4.00. She failed the eye test at school and when I go down to see why they tell me its because she needs some special $ 500 lenses… really! So I ask for a referral to an opthamologist and it takes 15 minutes of me arguing with her before she agrees. We get in at the childrens eye institute and find out her prescription should be a +2.25 the optometrist was correcting her for lazy eye when her eyes are completely straight. Imho this place is out to get your money and they are dangerously diagnosing wrong i know someone else who took her kids there and after my experience she went to a different optometrist and both her kids had wrong prescriptions too!!! Do not come here!

I DO NOT recommend ANYONE to go here. No. Nope. Nada. If I could give NO STARS I would.
I’ve been coming here for my annual eye exam for about 4 years and each and every time my family goes [we all have glasses] we are always left waiting for more than an hour after our scheduled times.
Finally I’m fed up.
The way this place works is that when you check in you are told to wait for the nurse to do a preliminary check. This is about a 20 – 30 minute wait.
Then after the preliminary exam, you’re sent to the waiting room to wait for your time with the optometrist. This is another 40 – 60 minute wait, even when there are only a few people in front of you.
FINALLY you’re called into the optometrist’s office and literally it takes at most 20 minutes to finish.
So based on all that time, really the appointment should only take 20 to 30 min max. If you’re buying glasses there then I guess about 1 hr to 1.5 hr max. But the waiting time outweighs the actual appointment time. If you know you’re going to go overtime because you overbooked your patients, CALL US AND TELL US THAT OUR APPOINTMENT TIME HAS O BE PUSHED BACK SO WE DON’T HAVE TO WAIT ALL THAT TIME. WE HAVE PLACES TO BE.
Also the staff and doctor is always trying to push products onto you. They’re constantly offering services that are not covered by your insurance an it gets frustrating turning them down as they keep pushing.
Overall, I am not happy with the four years of service I’ve been here. I’m only still here because of my insurance but I’ll not be coming back for my next eye exam. I’m rather change my insurance to avoid this place!

Great place. Awesome staff that takes the time to explain everything to you. The only thing is that the wait is unbearable.

The doctor and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I have been in many healthcare facilities an am a healthcare provider myself and can say that this is a well run office with a very competent and knowledgeable staff. I’ll be recommending it to my patients!

Let me just tell you this is the best optometrist, I’ve ever been to. She is extremely helpful kind, patient and will go out of her way to educate you about your eye. I will never go anywhere else.

Dr. Yuan was very friendly and very informative. I felt like I had a better understanding of the health of my eyes after my appointment. She didn’t push a bunch of products that she thought I needed and I felt like she cared about my health and seemed to enjoy her job!
Her staff was just as friendly, confirmed my appointment, called me promptly when my glasses came in, and made sure I was comfortable with the fit of my new specks.
I will be back next year for my annual check up and totally look forward to working with dr. Yuan and her staff again!
They have a great selection of products and services, good prices, fast appointments, and good payment options as well as financing if u need it!

The only thing that this place has going against it is the thoroughness of the doctor causes a little more waiting. But I’d gladly wait my turn, even a little longer, to get the kind of one on one care I (and obviously others) received here.
The staff greeted me, helped me with my paperwork, and then I played the waiting game. Was taken back for some initial testing and back to the waiting room. I had cell reception in the office so I played Candy Crush and messed around on Facebook. My appointment was for noon and I was seen by 12:45. Actually not too bad.
And when I expressed my concern about running late to another appointment Dr. Yuan made sure I was on my way out the door by 1:15, which was when I said I needed to leave.
The exam went beautifully. I came in for information about contact lense fittings and ask for help with the headaches and a sandy feeling in my eyes I’ve had for years. I’ve asked more than one doctor about it, I’ve been prescribed allergy meds and given new glasses, nothing worked, but I thought «One more couldn’t hurt.»
I finally feel like someone listened. Not only did she say my glasses are way too strong! But that I have dry eyes and quite possibly rough eyelids from it causing the sandy feeling. Hallelujah! Someone listened and had answers! She said the allergy meds are actually drying out my eyes. Gave me an rx for eye drops and a coupon for a different type. I’ll be taking the drops for 7 – 10 days and coming back for my contact fitting. I’m very much looking forward to my next appointment.

I recently had an eye exam at Rainbow and was very impressed with how thorough the Dr. was. I had been experiencing eye dryness and discomfort. She was able to prescribe some drops as well as give me my options for the reading glasses prescribed. I was very happy with my overall visit as well as the selections of eyewear! I would highly recommend this office!

I came in today with my dad because he was experiencing a sudden increase in floaters and flashes, clear signs that there may be a retinal tear or PVD. The optometrist was very nice and welcoming but then she wasn’t able to help him at all. Instead of focusing on his chief complaint, she suggested new computer glasses. Way to push products when we don’t need them!
I had been calling around different offices all day because I was looking for one who could take a fundus photo and who was also Mandarin speaking. My dad even got off work early so that he could make it to his appointment. The optometrist didn’t want to dilate him for BIO exam because she complained of a neck strain. She didn’t even put him behind the slit lamp! There was no ocular health exam at all! She should have told us this when I made the appointment with the chief complaint of flashes and floaters. It was a waste of time and we could have used that time to go to a different optometrist who could take care of our needs.
When we go to a different optometrist tomorrow and something serious is found, this optometrist can be in serious trouble…

I would like to preface this review by saying that my vision is problematic to say the least. I have undergone several surgeries that resulted in a significant loss of vision in my left eye. I have seen several optometrists throughout the last couple years and for the most part have accepted the fact that I would need to wear coke bottle glasses in order to achieve substandard level of vision. When I say coke bottle glasses, that is exactly what I mean. With ²⁰⁄₂₀₀ vision corrected, my level of self confidence had dropped dramatically.
Rainbow Optometry is located near my home and work and in all honesty, I love rainbows so I decided to schedule an appointment and keep my fingers crossed. Dr. Jessica Yuan is hands down the most professional, talented, and caring optometrist I have ever received treatment from. After she obtained my lengthy medical history and listened to my vision woes, she spent time examining my eyes, testing my vision, and thoroughly explaining my all of options.
Dr. Yuan has a gift of being an excellent listener and was receptive to all of my questions and concerns. I felt like she genuinely wanted me to see at my fullest capacity without compromising my self confidence. Dr. Yuan was able to find my exact prescription and I am a proud contact lens wearer today. I am seeing more clearly and with better focusing ability then I have since undergoing surgery. I attribute this to extensive time that Dr. Yuan spent understanding my unique condition and trying various solutions until we found one that worked perfectly.
It is wonderful when you find a doctor who refuses to give up you as a patient. Some doctors are so quick to refer patients with complex issues to someone else and even though this probably sounds so leader of the geek-​squad, every morning that I pop in my contacts and can see the dust on my bathroom shelves, the dirt in the corner crevices of the floors, and the thin film of mildew that needs to be scrubbed from my tub, and am truly grateful for Dr. Yuan and all of the staff at Rainbow Optometry.
