Bad place to stay at. I expected more since they were previously purchased by red lion. At first glance it appears ok until you go to the back where the rooms are. Lots of people outside like they actually live there in the hotel. The smell of marijuana was very strong. The room was really cheap looking, bedspreads have cigarette burns in them. The wall in the bathroom was rotted out. The smoke detector was not installed it was laying next to the tv. The worst part of my stay was when I was laying there on the bed and it felt like a fly landed on me I swiped my head and a cockroach jumped off my head! Yeah this hotel really sucks and should be shutdown. I do not recommend anyone stay there EVER!

With the prices so low, I knew I wasn’t going to get anything spectacular. If I had known what was yet to come, I NEVER would have booked a room.
I made a list of things that went wrong during my stay.
1. No remote control for the TV. Had to go pick one up from the office.
2. Room phone didn’t work. So I had to use my cell phone to call the office.
3. Alarm clock didn’t work.
4. Hair dryer didn’t work.
5. Iron was too dirty and rusted to iron with it.
6. AC cover was broken and by the last day of my stay it started smoking.
7. Ice machine didn’t work.
8. Burn hole in blankets.
9. DIRTY all over the floor, walls, and ceiling.
10. Looked like someone was getting evicted from living there.
STEER CLEAR OF THIS DUMP!

Checked into this hotel knowing it may be a little crappy and a little rundown. When we got to our suite I immediately felt unsafe to even be there with my kids. We were staying amongst people who clearly live there. There was a man that was peering through a suspiciously «evicted» room. The room did not have a window that closed nor did it have a screen. Not safe for anyone particularly with small children!
Brenda was pretty awesome and refunded all of our money… no questions asked when we checked out.
I felt like I rolled up on Training Day!

One of the worst places I stayed. 1. Pubic hair in the tub. 2. Fingernail found on floor. 3. Blood spattering found on wall (like a crime scene on CSI) 4. Sketchy individuals outside of rooms at all hours of the night. Felt like I needed a body condom to avoid any DNA contamination that the police may need later. Room was rundown and trashed.

No stars no stars I knew the owners at one time they would never lets this place fall like it has, I came here to leave a bad review, but you can see hundreds have beat me to it, 71 bucks a night, no microwave no water from showerhead, not even a shower curtain, complaints at the front desk with Alex fell on deaf ears. Do yourselves a favor motel 6 has this place beat.
To top it off the breakfast ran out of food! I will pay you not to sty here. Ok just went to the jacuzzi doesn’t work, filled with dirt and debris, pool is cold and also dirty. please people I beg you to save your money. Interne doesn’t work, pool and Jacuzzi dirty and filthy, druggies hanging out. Your a black mark on the city of Upland !

Upon entering room 139 on 4/​20, my husband & I witnessed multiple bugs under the pillows as well as crawling at the bottom of the bed and on the edges surrounding the bed. As well, the bedspread was worn and disgustingly soiled and torn in several places! The upholstered chairs in the room were so disgusting with stains a guest could not fathom sitting on them!
I contacted the front desk notifying them of the problem; even spoke to a maintenance man who was apologetic on behalf of the property.
Upon seeing room 119, we were surprised and apalled as the room was an exact repeat of the condition of the first room; a soiled bed infested with bugs in the bedding and under the corners of the box spring and hovering around the edges.
I requested a refund to relocate to another hotel and was informed because the reservations were made via a 3^rd party on the Internet, (and yes, the photos did not replicate the hotel condition), refunds were not possible. However, they would move us to a third room at the front of the building where «conditions of the rooms were typically better!!!»
We were escorted to the room where indeed it looked acceptable, however, due to the experience neither my husband or myself could imagine staying. Not being one to write online reviews or to elaborate on the negative, to this day I experience nightmares with imaginations of itching and thoughts of bugs in our hair and body and of course, a letter of apology
This property should be turned into the health department immediately and closed to the public. With Red Lion Hotels recent purchase of Guest House Hotels & Suites, as a frequent traveler, I recommend a thorough decision making process before flagging the property with new signage. Without it, Red Lion is subjecting great tarnish to its image and reputation! As they say, «it only takes one bad apple to spoil the bunch» and Red Lion has just inherited an extremely rotten piece of fruit!

Do NOT go here… we booked for a sporting tournament and yeah, rates were great, but after you get past the front lobby area (which was clean, neat and dare I say «promising») and interacting with the truly pleasant/​accommodating staff, you then get to the rooms which were at very best worn… some rooms had ants, another’s door jamb was repaired after being kicked in at one time or another, walls/​ceilings kinda stained, smelled of smoke/​animals and ???, but we said, «well, ok, its just one night.» So we dropped off our baggage and went to our last game @ 4:00 then to dinner and got back @ 9:15 to find the party in full swing. Evidently the rooms are so reasonable it is far cheaper/​easier to party there, you don’t mess up your house/​apt and you don’t have to clean up. One of our group was the middle room out of 5; the others were partying with «contracted talents» and the general conversation involved whether the contractors were going to earn their fees. Some in the group went to the pool, but having a hard time discerning what, exactly, was on the bottom, decided not to get wet.

This place was run down and horrible. The only thing that separated the shower from the rest of the bathroom was a curtain so every time you shower the water flooded the entire bathroom. The shower was also held up by duct tape. There were pen marks all over the walls, courtesy of a previous child guest, that they never repainted. The service was terrible. I asked for a toothbrush and the guy said «It’d be easier for me if you just walk here to come get it.» It’s not my fault you is morbidly obese brah. There were blood stains on the covers and mold on the walls. The coffee maker didn’t even work. No microwave in the rooms as in the pictures. I only gave this place one star because the Upland area is safe and close to lots of stores.

Just don’t !!! See the pics and read the reviews. It really is as bad as everyone is saying. I made the mistake and spent hours locked in my room with a chopper overhead and cruisers because of police activity… no one allowed in or out !!
The old TV did not work at all. Nasty stains everywhere. They don’t keep reservations in the system and you get locked out of your room at least once a day.
This place should be shut down. It is a drug dealer haven. NON-​STOP criminal activity and crackheads all around.
Do yourself a favor and just drive 3 miles south and you will find many other decent motels for less !! These guys charge $ 10 more than a Days Inn or Travelodge !

This hotel is disgusting! Booked it & when we pulled into the parking it was a scene from a drug lord movie! Cholos using a fake key trying to get into a room. Guys walking around with back packs… at 6pm on a Saturday and a couple yelling while their kids were crying. Went back to the front desk to get my money back because it was me a my friend we felt uncomfortable. The front desk clerk looked offended when I told him what was going on. Didn’t get a refund but that place was so shady & bad i didnt care. Do Not stay here!!!

Well today is Valentines day so we knew we needed to make a reservation if we wanted 1 king bed, well when we got here we were told that it’s first come first serve… wtf?! What’s the point of reserving a room?! We also were told the rooms were non smoking but it reeks of cigarettes. The bed linens are stained very badly as well. Don’t ever stay here!

Reserved a room a week in advance. When the day came to check in for the room they didn’t have the correct room I reserved which was just a one bed… They only had two bed available. Also asked for a room down stairs… Nope only up stairs. What’s the point in reserving a room and paying 75.00+ for a room if you don’t get it. Wish I could give this place no stars. Today is Valentine’s Day and this place is just sad. Also check in is at 3pm I waited in the lobby its 2:44pm right now so they took me early even though I was in the lobby at 11:00am to check in. If I reserved a room week in advance and waited all day to check in and I was the only person in the lobby where are all the one bed rooms? Who took them? How?

Giving this place a 3 because I’ve stayed here for what’s going to be 5 nights. And the first 2 nights all they had available was a smoking room. Normally I wouldn’t stay in one. But this is all they had. HORRIBLE. The pillows and sheets all had at least one blood stain. The bathroom shower was half way broken and the smell of the place was more than just cigarettes. So on the 3^rd night we switched rooms to a non smoking. If the give the place for the non smoking room a 4. Everything about it was different in a great way.

I wish I could rate it no stars! It doesn’t even deserve the one star! No hot water! Run down! A bunch of crack heads living in the hotel!!! You have to pay for a bucket of ice! Never been to a place you have to pay for ice!!! Put sign up for maid service and never got. I had to hunt for towels!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!

Sitting on the bed my wife noticed a bed-​bug crawling across the foot of the bed, need I say more! We got our money back and have not been back since, never will be.
Also, lots of drug-​dealing going on and lots of illegals staying at the place… how can I tell you say? Well, don’t take my word for it, go see for yourself!

I am currently staying at the hotel now. I got stuck with it because of the other hotels booked up. Reasons to dislike the hotel :
1.) nothing is updated. Run down
2.) nothing on t.v. The one channel that is good has discoloration problems
3.) have to pay per night for fridge and microwave. IT IS DISGUSTING. No one has washed the outside of it.
4.) musty smell
5.) floor is moldy and OLD
Thank god I’m here for only 2 days.
This place is good for super short term stays and last resort.

If you can afford to pay over $ 60, even if it’s only for a few hours, DO IT! Very disappointed.. .Ants in the first room we were given, as well as the second room we were given. Management said the hotel was totally booked and he came up to spray the room. Smoke detector and bathroom vent hanging from the ceiling. He also said it’s that time of the year etc. .no one else was complaining and I’m probably dealing with this problem at home! ! NOT!!! I’m so done!

The hotel is a bit run down and I had to switch rooms to one that wasn’t so run down and had an actual working fridge. Then come shower time the knob is loose and you’re able unscrew it from the wall as well as the curtain rod hanging on by 1 screw. Will not be staying here again.
To top it off the woman at the front desk just didn’t care to hear my issues this morning, she wrote them on a pad to show she was «actively listening» but I doubt anything will get addressed.

Horrible… I think crackheads actually LIVE in this place’ I’d rather take the 45min drive back home after the club than stay here! Gotta sleep with one eye open

Very disappointed. Pool was cold as well as the «hot» tub. Reported it and nothing was done. Escorts visiting other rooms, continental breakfast was horrible and I could go on and on but I won’t. Don’t stay here.
