History

Established in 1975.

Arthur M. Katz founded in Knockout Pest Control in 1975. It has grown to become the largest independent, locally owned company in the New York metropolitan area. Katz is recognized as an innovator in the field of pest management, his company, Knockout was one of the first companies to be chosen by Dow AgroSciences to offer the Sentricon Termite Colony Elimination System commercially in 1995, and is the forerunner in the use of the electronic Sentricon detection technology. These systems offer property owners protection from termite infestation utilizing an environmentally responsible solution. It was important to Katz to be able to provide property owners with «green» sound alternatives. He is past president of the New York State Pest Management Association and is a past board member of the National Pest Management Association. Knockout Pest Control supports the community we serve with an active philanthropic program. New York isn’t just our market; it is our home.

Arthur M. Katz has been an entrepreneur since 1975. He has successfully launched, purchased, and sold various businesses throughout his professional career. He has been a mentor helping business owners build better leadership skills, make better decisions and achieve better results.

Professional background

* Launched Knockout Pest Control, Inc in 1975. Through progressive marketing, acquisitions, networking and advertising grew the company in annual revenues, with an annual growth in past 5 years in double digits. Arthur continues as its President.

* Launched MSW Travel in 1991. Grew company each year as the rules in the travel industry changed every 6 months. Sold company in 2006 for 6 figures.

* Purchased lawn care franchise, underground irrigation, and architectural metal maintenance companies and sold each for 6 figures.

* Launched marketing cooperative BOSS.

* Former president of the BIN networking group, the oldest and largest on Long Island.
