Loved the very rude cashier that made the trip as much fun as a root canal. Avoid at all costs.

Staff quality is very varied so hard to say what I’ll get but the store’s new refurbishment is very helpful, laying items out sensibly & consistently with other refurbished area siblings. The location between GSP, Rt 22& Rt 82 is so very convenient. The parking lot’s sized right & the adjacent BabiesRUs is helpful. Store cleansiness is good, staff frequency is high, inventory is mid-level(not bad given they’re not the largest plot size) & the knowledge level is so-so. They however rarely pick up the phone, disabling queries without a store visit.

This Toys R Us is pretty big and it was relatively empty the Sunday I went. The bathrooms were pretty clean surprisingly. Also, the merchandise seemed as neat as they could be as it is a toy store. Sometimes the clientele can be pretty crappy(saw a whole family grab a cart full of toys to price check, monopolized the price check machine, then proceeded to leave the cart full of toys in the aisle for the employees to clean up). Jerks. They had a pretty large selection and i had fun seeing what was new here. Prices are a bit high but sometimes it’s better than waiting for a product to ship via online orders.

You have got to be kidding me. I would rather travel an extra 20 mins to the next Babies R Us just to avoid going into this location. The employees are horrible. I can only speak for the last 3 times I I went, and for those 3DIFFERENT cashiers, but the service is terrible. I tend to shop later at night, as my work schedule is a bit hectic, so it is NEVER busy when I shop. I would be more understanding if maybe it was peek hours, everyone was busy, and they were dealing with difficult customers, but this is never the case. It is usually slow, and I ALWAYS seem to get a rude, undertrained, uninterested employee that looks miserable. If i am lucky enough not to get an attitude from my cashier I hand them my rewards card to scan, most seem like they can not be bothered. It seems as though they will hire ANYONE to work there. I am extremely easy to please, and I am a very pleasant and passive customer, as i’ve worked in customer service my entire life to date. The woman managing was very nice, however, in front of the other customer and I, in the only open lane, she repremands her employee for seeming lazy.(Which he was, and didnt speak above the sound of my thoughts, and mumbled as if the receipt were going to come out of his mouth.) I needed to go down an aisle for baby bottles. There were 2 employees blocking the enterance to the aisle. Rather then disturb their play time I went completely around and picked up what I needed to, and went back around, as to not interrupt the 2 employees who could have killed me with their looks. This is my 1st time EVER writing a review, good or bad. This location is frustating, and the employees, on top of being sloppy, are completely rude. It took 3 times for me to finally write a review. I like to give a place the benifit of a doubt, and chalk up a bad experience to one or 2 bad eggs. This store need to clean out shop, and hire newly trained employees, with a better attitude, and the ability to understand basic registers. I’m giving this store 1 star because I have no choice if i want to post this review.

I used to go to this Toys R Us on practically a bi-weekly basis but I don’t drive this way much nowadays so I haven’t been to this branch in about a year. When I had the chance to visit again recently I was pleasantly surprised to find this branch of Toys R Us(or TRU as many collectors call it) had been renovated some time in the last year. Fitting in with their new, brighter format with aisles that make more sense than the old«zig zag» layout, I found myself able to navigate this branch instantly even though I hadn’t been in it for so long. The store was clean and organized when I went(on a Thursday evening). The staff was very willing to help out and I was approached twice asking if I needed assistance as I wandered around. The aisle layout is very similar to the one in Iselin/Woodbridge where girl’s toys then boy’s toys are on the right, with a big section in the middle and left side for babies and larger items like bicycles. Towards the back is the electronics section which has been opened up quite a bit. Overall it’s an easy to navigate store that seems to be kept very organized. From the collector perspective there was nothing remarkable. They had nothing I was looking for and the section I frequent(the action figures) looked like it had been picked thoroughly clean by other collectors(you notice this when only certain action figures/toys are missing from an assortment). Still, I’d come back for the pleasant shopping experience and the hope that they’d have something new!

Been going here for years. Just recently made the store a combo of Babies R Us and Toys R Us which seems like a recent trend. The whole store had a makeover so I have to relearn the sections. Place is packed especially during the holidays. Service is good regardless.
