Don’t make the same mistake I did. Somehow, I stupidly thought this was a Nation’s Giant Burger location. It was evident as soon as I walked into the place that it was not. I should have turned around and walked out — but I was hungry. I take responsibility for the mistake. Having said this, I ordered a burger and fries. As I could have anticipated, the burger was overcooked and the fries were marginal. What struck me about this place was the general uncleanliness of the place and the seemingly rude behavior of the man behind the counter taking orders. He was the only person working at the time. He was grumpy and could not communicate(in English anyway). The ketchup and mustard squeeze bottles were filthy and looked like they haven’t been washed since the 70’s. I observed 1 gentleman order a hamburger to go. When is order was done, he asked for more packages of ketchup, the gentleman taking orders literally refused to give him any more ketchup packets… I had know idea there was a global shortage of ketchup… Anyway, bottom line, this place is a tired worn out excuse of a burger joint. You won’t miss anything by avoiding this place. Drive a little further and find a «Nations» Giant Burger.

Waited for 32 minutes and still no burger. Had to get my money back and go hungry for lunch and was late getting back to work. Slowest service EVER!

Bad expirence I ordered a burger and fries and the burger was decent at best but what got me was the fact I payed nearly $ 4 for some curly fries and there was very few fries and total and they weren’t even good fries. Also the people serving were rude to me and the cashier couldn’t speak very good English and didn’t know how to use the cash register. Would not recommend for eating especially since the prices are high(which I usually don’t mind as long as the food is pretty good) and the customer service was bad

I had the mushroom/swiss here and it is easily the best burger of all the places that I’ve eaten at around Union City. The fries were pretty good to nice and thick and they didn’t kill it with salt. Phone your order in or be prepared to wait. I swear I was there for 20 minutes and there was only 2 other customers in the place. On the plus side, both my burger and fries were made to order right there so the freshness factor was totally awesome.

I wanted to give it 2 stars but will give 3 to be generous. I do like to support locally owned and ran establishments. I have driven by for years but never stopped in. Finally came in for lunch today. It is nicer looking inside than how it looks outside. Thankfully. I ordered a «Giant» cheeseburger with only mustard and mayo. A small side fry. A can of Coke. My bill came to $ 7.60 which is respectable. There were several people ahead of me so I had to wait for over 20 minutes for my food. But I can appreciate there was only 1 cook and one young male cashier. Thankfully there was lots of clean seating. My problems are this. My «Giant» cheeseburger was not even close. I go to Fuddruckers so I know what a real 1⁄3 lb burger looks like. In fact you could barely see the burger for the bun. And my cheeseburger was lacking the main ingredient, CHEESE. I looked at my reciept again and yes, I asked for and paid for cheese. I did not realize this until a few hungry bites in. Beyond that, the fries were great and the bun was toasted which I always love. The burger meat tasted good. The place was clean and the cashier was pleasant. So I simply took off a star for no cheese and a star for a grossly overstated 1⁄3 lb patty. They had other things as well and if I am ever back in that area, I might try a Cheesesteak sandwich or some fish and chips. I just hope they remember the cheese in cheesesteak :)

Simple fried Burger done right. Wife gets the mushroom & swiss & I usually get the Bacon Cheeseburger. I love it when simple things are done right. If I’m in need of a crazy burger i’ll go to red robin or Counter. I’ll go here over the fast-food places at fairway plaza.

Life Without Kim My wife and I had lunch here yesterday. It was my dumb decision. I used to love this place, but things have changed. Our total was $ 29.82. This was too much for what we received. In fact, we were overcharged(I just realized this now). We weren’t given a receipt, and so this is somewhat of a guess, but we were overcharged about $ 1.45(it looks like we were charged for 2 Regular drinks instead of 1). The cashier truly sucked(the man used to work primarily as a cook– still, he’s been here for years, and so there’s no excuse). He was slow, and we had to repeat things to him(I honestly wonder if he’s hard of hearing). He also only gave us 1 cup at first(maybe he thought that my wife and I were going to share a Large drink– girls have cooties, and so that wasn’t going to happen). There’s a new cook. She’s friendly(with some training, maybe she would make a better cashier), but she struggled too. She and the man looked over order slips as if they were studying for an exam(I do give them props for communicating well with each other). They both looked lost at times. It was like the blind leading the blind. «Please Show Love To Our Hamburger Lady Kim»: 2 other women work here. I believe that Kim is the main cashier(if so, she’s friendly and competent). I was thanked when I put some change into the white box(some money is being collected for Kim– I’m guessing that her health is poor). A woman came in with her young son(the woman asked about Kim, but we couldn’t hear the response). The cashier struggled to take their order too. The woman had to repeat it 2 or 3 times. She was also almost charged for 3 cheeseburgers(my wife wondered how the cashier heard 3). There were only a few other customers around, but we had to wait over 10 minutes for our food. It was cold inside. My nips got hard. 1 Free Refill: I forgot about this. Otherwise, I would have ordered a Regular drink, not a Large(I got a partial refill right before we left). There’s now a large Coke bottle by the fountain machine. It’s for recycling. For some reason, there are now 3 plants on the ground(they should be hanging from the ceiling). Curly Fries(Small– $ 1.80): 8.25÷10. Our fries were«stuck together,» and some of them were a tad overcooked. In general, though, they were quite good(I just added some salt to mine). We were also given a solid serving. Chili Dog($ 4.55): 8⁄10. My wife was pleased. She finished off her chili dog in just a few minutes. She received a good amount of chili con carne and onions(you’re not given any cheese– my wife was fine with this, but did find it to be strange). Bacon Burger($ 5.25; $ 5.60 with cheese– the price might actually be higher now): 8⁄10. My wife complained about her burger(it was messy). Toppings kept falling to the floor. There was also«a little too much mustard.» Finally, my wife wasn’t given much cheese. My patty was tasty, but I’ve had better ones here in the past. In addition, they seem smaller now. I received a solid amount of bacon, and my slices were meaty and good. I was also pleased with my cheese. My bun was kind of fragile(like my ego), but otherwise fine. Hot Links($ 4.95): 8⁄10. My sandwich was pretty good, but not great. My bun was cold, and my sandwich should have been cut in half. My hot link was mildly hot and not too greasy, but it tasted a bit old. «They should give bigger napkins.» My wife, as usual, is right(yes, I’m hoping to get laid). As I mentioned last time, the napkins here are small and cheap. A small fly briefly bugged us(Mr. Miyagi suddenly appeared with some chopsticks). The parking lot is small and old(some lines are very faint). I left feeling almost as bitter as a girl jilted on prom night. I support local businesses, but this place has gone downhill in recent years.

Decent food just expensive in my opinion for what you get. Ordered a cheeseburger, pastrami burger, one order of fries and one drink. $ 16.

Should changes the name to burgers. I ordered a bacon burger with fries. Both of them was plain, no salt added to my burger and my fries. Really no salt on the fries, that’s the main thing that make the fries taste good. I guess that will be my first and last. With that 9 dollars I rather go to fuddrucker.

This Giant Burger is in a tiny strip mall next to Domino’s. After years of driving by without a second thought, I finally made a stop to pick up a burger. It is pretty bare bones and set up like an old diner. There was a nice older lady who took my order and made the burger. Looks like to family owned and operate. The burger was decent. There was only 1 other customer during what I would consider to be peak dinner time. I wish them more business and good luck.

They grill the burgers right in front of you and cook everything to order including the fries! … Right next to my apartment, love going there for a quick lunch or dinner! Try the chili cheese fries!!!

For a low-key Union City ma & pop burger shop, this place isn’t so bad. I mean, compared to those real hoppin’ burger joints with tons of reviews, you can’t really compare them. I give this place 4 stars because the food is good, the owners are nice and they are also trying to get by with the business they have and they’ve been around for a long time. I may sound biased, but I strongly support small family businesses.

Meh… The food isn’t spectacular and they certainly don’t make up for it in service. They wouldn’t give me a cup for water; told me I could buy a bottle. They also wouldn’t allow us to pay the difference for a bottled soda after buying a fountain soda; we had to pay for both. It’s anyone’s guess how they’ve managed to stay open for so long…

Got the cheeseburger, fries, and onion rings(ya, that’s how I roll!). The cheeseburger was delish. The fries were steak fries. Delish! The onion rings were kind of like the Burger King onion rings, except bigger. It was just ok. Don’t be fooled by the empty lot. This place serves great food!

I’ve been coming here for years, and it makes my heart happy. I used to get private tutoring at Kumon(which used to be in the strip of businesses behind this one), and afterwards I’d often grab dinner here. Their burgers are tasty, the fries are awesome(I especially like, personally, that they don’t salt them for you), and the milkshakes thick. Oh, and the onion rings are amazing too. Can’t really ask for a whole lot more from a burger place!

Uhm. I don’t like the location of this place. It’s sort of in the middle of no where… lol which gives me the creepers. It’s usually really empty inside… so the atmosphere is sort of… creeper too lol. Like if I wanted to go kickit at a burger place and eat there, I would want a lively atmosphere not a dead one. The burgers are huge and yummy. Def worth the try, maybe get take out? Yeah, my rating is mainly because I find the place to be at a weird location… which makes the atmosphere creepy. But the food is definitely worth trying!

I come here for lunch sometimes and love the food. I generally get either a chili burger or a bacon burger and the chili cheese fries. I’ve never left disappointed and I’ve always been happy with the quality of the food.

I came by to order pizza next door, but I remembered the fries and couldn’t resist!(No, I didn’t bring the pizza in.) The fries again were crispy and soft in the middle just like I remembered. I also ordered prawns and chips… which prawns fried in batter… yum! I tried to come back Sunday evening, but they had just closed. I really wanted those fries.

Cheap food! A must try if you’re around the general area! It was pretty quiet when I came here on a weekday afternoon. But I came here for the food not to see foodies like myself. I ordered a cheese burger and I can say you can compare this place to a «gourmet» burger joint because I cannot taste the difference. We(my boyfriend and I) ordered 2 cheese burgers, fries, curly fries, a soda and a milkshake and it was about $ 17! CHEAP! For the price and the order size it was worth it! Everything came out fresh and tasty!
