Super mal servicio y mala organizacion. Pesimo servicio. Sale mejor ir a otro lado a comprar las roscas.

NOTE: This Bakery La Mejor location is not closed. So far it’s been open every day I’ve gone, which have been random days of the week. Whenever I go, there’s usually a customer or two ahead of me ordering lots of items. You know this place is good when people of the same or similar ethnicities as the store patronize it… like you’d figure a Chinese place is good when there are hella Chinese people there. Customers seem to order the cookies, muffins, conchas, and what not by the boxes. And here I am ordering only one item whenever I go. This place sells cake, cookies, conchas, muffins, rolls, croissants(cream cheese and I cannot remember what else), empanadas(custard, pineapple, or apple), cream horns/rolls, etc. They have a great number of different goodies. I like the custard empanadas for the thick custard-pudding filling and the thick, firm but kinda chewy(not crunchy) crust. The bread pudding is hella good but I haven’t been getting it because it makes me feel heavy and it leaves oily stains wherever it lays; it’s got comfort food status. There are slight variations in the items they sell daily. Bring cash.

I have been to this bakery a few times and the patries are good. But… the ladies that work there have no kind of customer service skills. Never a hello, never a thank you. Now I’m convinced it was my last time there. Never any prices on bread until you are going to pay. ATM machine doesnt always work and there’s no sign or anything. So ask if it works if you have no cash, before you ask for your bread…

It used to be better long time ago. I think they changed of management. Before when there were two other bakers, that I don’t see around any more. I went recently a few times, and the trays were empty. Bread is not bad, but is not like it used to be.

Best Mexican bread in the bay area. The«conchas» are always soft and sweet. Tres leches cakes are actually moist and not saggy !

I would give this place zero stars if I had the option to rate it 0. I ordered a birthday cake a week before the event. The store owner(a young lady) had forgotten about the order when I showed up to get the cake. She forgot that I wanted an American football team and she placed turtle ninjas instead. I ordered a «tres leches» pastel but it tasted horrible. No one at the party ate it. I ended it up throwing the cake at the garbage. Owner is very irresponsible. Needless to say, I haven’t there since.

I found this place on Unilocal and was excited to buy some fresh pastries from early morning but was very disappointed when they said it’s from yesterday. Ended up buying nothing. Don’t wait while you sell stuff from yesterday otherwise you lose your customers!

A Mexican bakery where everything is about $ 0.60 — $ 1.25, pretty awesome. I was buying for coworkers and asked for ‘one of each of everything,’ and ended up with a box of 15 pastries for $ 11. Pretty awesome pricing. Some were hit or miss, others were great. Great: Mexican bread pudding(I got 2) Pumpkin Bread Custard Bread Yellow sugar turtle shaped roll Apple turnover Didn’t care for: Sweet churro Scone Def worth going to and buying in bulk.

Living in tge Bay Area is great as far as finding any kind of ethnic food. I love mexican bread and am really picky when it comes to my favorite, conchas de chocolate. Its sad to say that any decent mexican bakeries near me have closed. Thank God for La Mejor Mexican Bakery in Union City. I’ll be going there from now on! Their pastries are really yummy!!!

Anyone who gives it 2 or even 3 stars are truly out of their minds and don’t know the best. This bakery has been around since I was little and I don’t care what you say their bread is by far better than Mi Pueblo and Chavez COMBINED! their bread is always baked freshed daily and I become sad because sometimes they run out of my favorite(Los cuernos and sometimes the cuernos de azucar) and they tell me that it’ll be ready in about an hour. I really don’t care cuz I literally live 3 minutes away I don’t mind the drive or walk. I’m usually a person who absolutely HATES tres leches cakes but whenever it was a birthday in my family and we had to get tres leches I always preferred this one from this bakery. Was also my number one pregnancy craving lol. My favorite bakery also because their bread is comparable to the legit ones from Mexico. I’ve tried a bunch of pan dulce from Chavez, Mi Pueblo, Mexico Super to little hole in the wall spots all around nothing compares to this place.

This place is freaking fantastic, made on site daily through out the day. I’ve gone on two occasions and both times the bread was so fresh it was still warm. Good variety of breads. But here’s a tip: I don’t recommend you going early morning it seems most bread is churned out in the afternoon which is annoying to wait that long, many of us want our pan dulce accompanied with our morning coffee, tea or hot chocolate.

My family loves this place and so do I!!! I usually just ask for the macaroon while my family likes the variety. This was my first ever Mexican bakery and I have been to several others now and this is one of the better ones I’ve been to.

I bought three buns from here but didn’t eat them all in one day. However, even though I kept my buns for like two days, they still taste good(be sure put it in the oven for few minutes before you eat it). The only thing that I concerned is way too greasy to me. For example, the first few bites were taste good, but then I could only feel butter or whatever oil they use in the bun in my mouth. Buns were not with too much flavor tho, but it is not a big deal to me.

Bakery La Mejor has all their pastries behind the counter or on shelves. no self service here,. no prices posted either big buns sold for 1.25, apple turnover(.85) smaller cross buns(1.15) –buns didn’t taste that fresh, more than day old. –buns pricier than oaktown 2.5 stars, crumbs: –service slow since only one person on duty

I love this place!!! I have been coming here for years, my uncle used to bring me here when I was a lot younger and I never stopped coming here for their wonderful desserts. Their prices are cheap and seems to have remained that way over the years. The place is a little small so sometimes the line is out the door but it’s no problem because they are that good. Everyone here is very friendly.

This place is awesome. I have tried almost all the items here. Been visiting this place from last two years and not even once their bread was stale. Not very pricey and the staff is friendly. Cup cakes and chocolate bread are my favorites. You need to have cash unless you spend more than 10 $.

I love their teleras(that’s the bread used to make Mexican tortas), it’s always fresh and oh so fluffy. Their Mexican bread is very tasty, prices are reasonable, they’re friendly and they accept Credit cards now. I wouldn’t come here for their churros. Highly recommend their Teleras and the other Mexican bread, it is yummy yummy for my tummy tummy!

I love this panaderia! I don’t go there as often but it’s not because I don’t like the sweet bread but because I’m staying away from the carbs! lol The lady attendants here are super sweet and nice. Very talkative and working hard all the time. You gotta come here early to get the good stuff because it sells out fast. Their puerquitos rock! They are not dry and lame like at Mi Pueblo. Love it, love it, love it. Keep up the good work.
