In 1991 after several years of working as an automotive technician, I decided that I wanted to try to make a difference in the auto repair industry in Tyler and I opened Mike’s Automotive. I based my business off two things that I knew would satisfy my customers; Honesty and Quality auto repair. As word spread about me and my business my customer base grew quickly. I am blessed that my business is still growing and some of my first customers are still part of the «Mike’s Automotive family» today.

We rely on Mike’s Automotive for all of our repairs. In one case we left my wife’s Avalon with them for two days while they searched for an occasional engine «stuttering» she was experiencing. This was the worst type of problem to diagnose since it couldn’t be reliably repeated. With our encouragement, they drove the vehicle multiple times and in different traffic conditions trying to repeat the problem. After two days they decided it must be the quality of gas we were getting from our regular station, water perhaps, and didn’t charge a penny for all of the time they spent. We switched stations and the problem was solved.
