The Bowladium has something for everyone! Family atmosphere in the bowling center with cosmic bowling at night and music. Winter and summer leagues always going. Adult time in the bar with karaōke on Thursday’s and Saturday’s. Big screen TV’s in the bar for football season and other sports, a jukebox and pool table for added recreation. Also Louisiana Fried Chicken so you’ll never go hungry.

Fun place for family and kids on the lanes and adult time in The Back Alley for cocktails, karaōke, pool, and music on jukebox! Homie and easy to be at!

Overall this place is grimy for my taste, but I can see how people would like it for a dive bar hangout spot. There really isn’t much to do in 29 Palms, so this place becomes a hangout for people who want to drink and bowl.
If you really just want to bowl in a nice family atmosphere go to the Marine Corps base instead. The base bowling ally is so much better, updated, fun, clean and sanitary. None of those things are true about the Bowladium.
If my daughter gets invited to another birthday party here I“ll probably pass…

Super fun time — it’s dated, but the lanes are electronically monitored. The lanes are also in super good shape and the staff was pretty awesome. I have been to some really high-​class lanes in Los Angeles, but this one is the best. No parking hassles, very laid back atmosphere, and there’s also a chicken joint and a bar connected.
And to those people who left Bowladium a negative review based on your experience a the bar — remember that you are leaving reviews for the WRONG business. The bowling alley is one business, and the Back Alley Bar is another. Sheesh.

Ok 1.5 stars. I ask for a lemon drop shot. The bartender made a shit of just vodak rimmed with sugar and lemon wedge. So I went back to get a real lemon drop and he charged me again. You screwed up I should get the second one for free just saying…

Are you deep in the desert? Wanna drink beer, eat Louisiana style fried chicken, watch football and bowl? Well crouch into your best tumbleweed position and roll on into bowladium. Friendly service wether you are a local or a tourist wanting to quench your parched sun drenched throat. Bowling is cheaper before six. Order a pizza and eat it at the bar with an order of fried okra and you will be blissed out of you mind.

Only downside was that there were no light bowling balls.
Quaint, fun place to be in Twenty-​Nine Palms. It’s not fancy or new, but it’s cheap and the bowling is good (cosmic bowling comes on late at night). Same ubiquitous bowling animations on old TVs. Nice adjacent bar. Seems to be a place for the locals.

Love it here! this is the best place in town to watch sports especially football. Greenbay and or vikings games are always intense and everyone in the bar is hyped up. the bowling alley part is great even though I’m not a big bowler it is always fun and is great for kids and families. the staff here is great! Thursday night is a must for drinking!!!

Held our wedding reception here recently. Extremely nice and thoughtful people. The manager actually decorated the bar area for us! Super fun times and great atmosphere. Even the babies liked it!

So, even though this is a military town– it was really hard for us to find a spot for me to watch the Elite 8 tourny. We popped into a few places up from the motel that listed cocktails on the outside signs and were greeted with empty spots, fuzzy tvs, people who had less teeth than newborn babies (ok. that was mean. i take it back). We stumbled upon the Bowladium…
it’s small.
it’s dark.
it serves really decent food from the nextdoor italian joint.
it’s got tvs.
it’s got great beer.
and the chick behind the bar (i want to say her name is trish) was a sweetheart.
my team lost. i wanted to cry. fortunately, after several beers, a large pizza, wings, and more beers– my team had lost, my wallet had not. WOW– this place is CHEAP. Let me tell you– we added 3 games of bowling and shoes– and it was still cheaper than a night out at Pinz (sans food & beers)!!!

We were at Joshua Tree for a few days and needed a place to watch football. Let me tell you, BOWLADIUM is the place for all things NFL. The regulars donned quite the assortment of NFL jerseys and every game was on TV. Awesome dive bar. I loved it.

Cool dive bar on back side of the bowling alley (Hince the name: Back Alley Bar). Thursday and Saturday Karaōke for all those aspiring American Idol types and the I’m drunk and singing types. Decent food and the bartenders pour a damn good drink. They have free chow for big sports events.
