and Stout & Burg Electric (SBE) was founded in 2003. Peak Power and SBE are both founded and co-​owned by career electricians Matt Stoutenburg and Jeff Wilson. Matt and Jeff have worked closely together through out their careers on many of Orange County and Southern California’s most prominent projects. With a strong background in complex commercial projects, we knew we could offer the same superb service on a residential level. Our expertise attracts many sales companies to us because of our efficiency to bring a job to completion. In addition, many building departments praise our ethics,

Matt Stoutenburg is the Founder & President of Peak Power Solutions. He has over 25 years of experience in the electrical and solar contracting industry. Matt has developed and participated in some of Southern California’s most prominent electrical and solar projects, and has been instrumental in the development of several well-​known Orange County solar companies since 2007.

We wanted to get solar from the moment we purchased this house. But years later we still hadn’t found a good option that made sense. We had multiple quotes from different companies but the numbers didn’t add up. My friend recommended Peak Power. All of our options were explained clearly in plain language. No smoke & mirrors with the numbers.
Everything was handled professionally. I appreciated the quality of the employees working at my house. This company’s communication with us through every phase was great for keeping us in the loop. We used their recommended Guardian Roof to replace the roof at the same time and I’m so grateful we did.
Any construction project can have unexpected problems. Each time something unpredictable came up, Peak Power employees handled the situation well. They were on top of things every step of the way.
We have had our system for 2 years now. We are able to monitor our production online anytime we like.
I have personally sent Peak Power two commercial clients here in Long Beach and both clients were turned away because Peak Power did an inspection and told the client solar didn’t make sense for that property. Peak Power has the integrity to show people the true expected power production and costs for their specific property.
The financing and the tax breaks went just like Peak Power said it would.
I’m very happy with the whole package and glad we decided to own instead of lease.

More and more people are understanding the importance of trying to get off the grid and go solar if it makes sense. Once you decide it makes sense for you, I highly recommend you speaking and using PEAK POWER SOLUTIONS. They can help you decide if it makes sense, without a hard sell and if it does they have a great deal thru Sunnova to get you great equipment that you will OWN (not lease) and a savings that’s pretty substantial. (for me, at least) There’s a lot of solar on the market these days but after shopping around PEAK did the job from A-​Z. Thanks Shahin.

We got our solar panels about 3 years ago and there were numerous problems with SCE getting out our bill and putting us on the right rate schedule. We didn’t save as much as we had hoped but were able to benefit from the tax credit for the last 3 years. When Matt from Peak Power found out about us, he immediately called and was very helpful and has been instrumental to getting our bill where we needed it to be. He helped us get on the right track with SCE and even added panels to help us reach our net metering goals. We have been treated very well by Peak Power.

Everything about them was awesome! The customer service, the turn around time, the installation were all five star experience. I’ve already referred them to my cousin who was really pleased. They were priced the best with the quickest turn around time and we are saving a ton of money. If you don’t have solar call them today!

Buyer Beware… Do NOT use this company. Poor workmanship. They did alot of damage to our home, it took many months to get it all fixed. They drilled 26 holes in my vaulted wood ceiling after being walked thru the house and having it pointed out to them. I used my own contractor for most of the repairwork but was going to let them use their roofer to finish up repairing all the damage. The company that they sent out (Guardian Roofing) to do the repairs didn’t even speak english and ended up damaging something else entirely… Scraped old roof off and dumped all kinds of black roofing into our living room. Damaged our gutters putting the ladder directly onto our houseThey had to reroof one whole side of my house and didn’t seal it properly so it leaked into our sunroom. We have had this system for 1 ½ years and have had low production since day one. We leased our system and we are not saving any money. Even 1 star is too high a rating for this company. I was surprised to see they were still in business. Finally the finance company (NRG) offered to send out another company to see if they could figure out what was wrong. They sent out Helio Power (they are awesome) and on the first visit within 2 hours the technician discovered that 1⁄3 of my inverters were in the off position. There were many previous visits from Peak Power and they kept blaming everything else including my internet connection. For a year I had to pay SDGE and the lease company their fixed amount. Peak Power has not reimbursed us for this.

I gave Peak Power Solutions a 5 star because that’s what they are! The process was very easy, and now I’m saving money every month! From the initial contact with my Solar Professional, Jason Castelhano, to the installation of my solar system I was completely satisfied with this company. Every time I had a question or needed something explained again Jason was right there! He answered my questions completely, never beat around the bush, and was honest! I called the main office a couple of times and spoke with the women there and they were very attentive and helpful! I chose to have my solar system built and installed by Peak Power Solutions because they use LG Panels. Peak Power Solutions made me feel like I was being taken care of, and I wasn’t a ‘number’ to them! The solar system on my home looks great, I’m saving money, and I am very satisfied with my decision!

I first would like to start out by giving Peak Power Solutions a five star. This is my first time I have written a review on Unilocal.The process was smooth from start to finish. Of course, we did our research first and got two other quotes before making our decision. We purchased the solar panels instead of leasing them. This way we will receive the tax credit. Matt came out to our home and he couldn’t have been more knowledgeable, he suggested installing a more efficient pool pump (which they provided and installed). The other companies didn’t mention anything about changing out the pool pump. We choose to go with the American made panels. Peak Power also works with a bank that offers a remarkable financing rate for those who qualify. I was e-​mailed every step of the way as our project progressed to the next stage. Our application was submitted to Edison on February 6th and the plans/​designs were submitted to the city/​county February 11th. The project engineer, Shahin, was hands on, so I credit him for expiditing the plans to the city. The panels were installed a week after that. The process was completed by the end of February, including the approval from the city inspector. The system got turned on March 31, 2015 (after the system is completed, the approval turn on date is in Edison’s hands). We got our first bill from Edison on April 26th, which was 0.99. We are are looking forward to the return on our solar investment. The savings over the years will be huge. The professionalism and courtesy from the installers to the owner was awesome. The entire team at Peak Power deserves a big thank you!

I asked Jason to reach out to my parents who had already scheduled solar panel installations in the coming months as a review and possible second option. I am glad I did! Not only did Jason take the time to explain their current purchase but after hearing of their current bill, he advised not to purchase solar panels period. In the long run there was no real need to have any panels installed. Jason works with a high level of integrity, always giving his honest opinion. My parents were very happy they had a second opinion and appreciate everything Jason did for them.

We hired Jason and Peak Power, he showed us the different options… renting the panels vs. owning the panels… we decided to own our panels… he worked with our roofing company, .got a totally new roof, new venting system, state of the art solar panels, the process was 6 weeks total, from signing the paper, to SDGE here to inspect and turn on!
we are giving back to the grid. our elec bill has been in the neg the last 3 months… can’t say enough about how smooth the entire process was… I have given out Jason’s card, and still have more to give out… the best thing is that our Solar looks great on our house, adding to our investment by saving on future electric bills… thanks, Jason!

Jason at Peak Power Solutions is so knowledgeable, if you’re considering solar you really owe it to yourself to talk with him. He came out and checked out our situation, talked about our power bill, explained the tax credits available and broke it down into a clear picture of how much we could save. There are different options available and not all of them were in our best interest. I really appreciated his patience and honestly in explaining things without any pressure. This is a solid company that will be around to back up their products.

Customer friendly!
I met with Peter from Peak Power and he was very thorough in explaining their solar energy plan. What I like best about this company is that the customer captures the federal tax rebate. I have talked to other solar power companies and they take that rebate for themselves.

Just got my panels in and I super happy! It did take a couple months to get them up and running which is expected considering you need permits etc. The guy who gave a one star just doesn’t get it. Good things are worth the wait! Oh and Peter Stone who was my rep was super on it and professional. Thanks Peak Power now I’m saving money big time!

We went with Peak Power and are very happy we did. The guys showed up on time. They did a nice install and cleaned up very day. I’m in north San Diego so it was a bit of a drive for them to get to me but they completed the project on time.
My system has only been in for 8 weeks, it is producing as stated.
They were great to work with and have been easy to contact and communicate with.
